I suffer from rosacea, which has caused certain portions of my face to look weathered (Only word that comes to mind). I must say that I was taken back by the professionalism of the entire staff. The staff was very welcoming and in all honesty made me feel super comfortable being that I am not a huge fan of any medical center (sorry male here). Staff member(s) took photos of my face. I was than escorted to a separate room where my options were explained to me in detail. All my concerns were addressed. Although there is no cure for rosacea, the staff offered Different variations of treatment to help reduce the redness and inflammation on my face which was very noticeable. After choosing a treatment I was shocked to learn that treatment that we chose was surprisingly affordable. After a few minutes I was led to a different room to began my treatment. I was again put at ease by the professionalism of the staff as they again explained step by step what to except as the procedure began. The staff held a full conversation with me during my procedure which made my time there seem to go a lot faster. During the Procedure my face responded extremely well to the treatment that was chosen. Majority of the redness and small bumps around my nose area were cut by more than 1/2. However, I am here to inform anyone who is apprehensive about scars, hesitant to travel, or facing any other concerns that if you opt for a surgeon like this, you will only receive liposuction, contrary to what you were assured. In my case, the results of liposuction alone were aesthetically inferior to my previous appearance. In stark contrast to what Dr. Weintraub promised and what he advertises on Instagram, he did not remove ANY gland tissue. A different surgeon recently removed gland from me and verified it with photos. The second surgeon confirmed that I had previously undergone liposuction alone. Worse, even the lipo only procedure that Dr. Weintraub performed was uneven, removing way more from one side. I'm still dealing with the asymmetries. For this he charged me over $13,000. I believe there's only one reliable way to remove gland, and that's through the areola. I now understand that a skilled surgeon can minimize scars and can prevent cratering. Don't let an unscrupulous surgeon play on your fears.

Even though it is ridiculous to charge a higher fee for a consult than the actual procedure, I agreed and tried to set up an appointment. I explained that I was getting this done prior to having other surgery (performed by another doctor). The receptionist then told me that because I was having surgery, the cost would now be $1,000. I asked why and whether the doctor would be doing anything differently. No I was told, but "those are our fees." Needless to say I ended the call and am looking elsewhere. Karen in the office was great and really helped me throughout the whole process. Dr Ganchi was very informative and my Procedure went smoothly. The scars from the procedure are unnoticeable and I was back to work within a week. I'm extremely happy with my decision. The only negative thing I would have to say is that I was not required to have blood work done prior to the surgery. My surgery was done on 9/9 and I found out I was pregnant on 9/15 (this was unexpected). Now, they did perform a urine pregnancy test the morning of my surgery however, it must have been too early to tell. This caused quite a scare for me but I immediately contacted both doctors and my daughter has since been born and is healthy and was not effected by the procedure or medications taken during recovery. My OBGYN said it's always best to receive blood work prior to a surgery, this being one of the reasons why so I would strongly suggest that even if you are not told or advised to get blood work, I would just to be on the safe side. The staff and facility I thought was great. The end result a year later is that I do think they look much better, but I don't feel they look the same. The shape is different. This may be because of the prior lumpectomy but I think this should have been taken into consideration. Also the side i had the lipo looks like it needs a bit more lipo as you can see a section that clearly needs a bit more. There is like a layer of fat. When I went to my last follow up, the Dr wasn't there. And he wasn't there on a few follow up visits. The nurse was, to take some final pics and said I can have a bit more lipo done, but it would be another lipo procedure, meaning I would have to pay again. Which I feel to be unfair as I already paid to make them look the same. And already paid for lipo. This was expensive ..all in all, I feel they look better than before but still don't think paying for more lipo is quite fair. Also while I was recovering one side got a fungal Infection. I don't know how that could happen as I kept it very clean and followed all the directions. All I can think of is the tape that was put on was not put on properly and moisture got beneath it. I had to go in and have the tape removed earlier than expected, and put anti fungal medication on. It wasn't even noticed , as I was sending photos, until I specifically pointed it out. So I did have a difficult recovery. It was a stressful time for me.
