Dimov Tax - George Dimov, C.P.A.

Dimov Tax

Dimov Tax has done our taxes since we moved to Texas a few years ago. We had to file in California…read moreand Texas the first year and also had a few complicated situations that required help navigating. Their team is responsive, detailed and very helpful. I plan on continuing to use them and would recommend them for your tax needs.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a tax service. We hired them last…read moreyear to help with our rather complicated taxes that were split between several states, and the entire process has been filled with multiple errors and over looked details. They failed to file important paperwork from another state which resulted in a penalty letter from the IRS. They asked for more paperwork from us, and we sent it but one important piece didn't make it to them and they never followed up asking for it. Now we've received our 2nd IRS warning, and I'm livid that they let the mistake slip through the cracks. I don't pretend to be good at things like this which is why we hire professionals to help with the process. The lack of follow up to the missing document is a failure of due diligence from the company. It's also the first time we've ever had anywhere from 4-6 (maybe more?) people working on one return. Who was responsible for our account? I still have no idea, and I recommend you find someone else this tax season. Editing to add: The company blamed us for their mistake then insinuated that they would not help us unless we took down our bad review. We ended up not having to pay the fine (we had a federally accepted reason to delay filing), and it was because of their mistake that we received the fine. We easily fixed the issue with the IRS directly since the company was unwilling to do the work we paid them thousands for.

The staff at Rupert and Associates are top notch, honest and trustworthy. I no longer stress over…read morefiling taxes because I know Stephen has my back. I am always so surprised at how much we get back on our returns, thanks to Stephen. I love that I can do everything through the online portal and I can look back at past tax returns (I never know what to do with paper copies). You can't find locally owned, and trustworthy companies anymore. I highly recommend getting in touch with Rupert and Associates for your tax needs, you will be beyond happy with what they offer.

I am writing this to warn other business owners about the significant accounting errors and lack of…read moreaccountability we experienced at Rupert and Associates. We worked with this firm for two years, and it proved to be a major setback for our operations. Despite being assigned a "QuickBooks expert," the firm failed to manage our Housecall Pro integration correctly--continually insisting we simply unlink it. As the business owner, I was eventually able to coordinate with the software providers myself and fix the integration settings within just two weeks. Because our books were not being reconciled monthly as promised, we were advised to file 2024 taxes that were admittedly inaccurate to avoid "correction costs." This resulted in us overpaying on our tax liability based on flawed data. After I hired an independent bookkeeper in late 2025, they uncovered over 700 uncategorized transactions dating back nearly a year. Most damagingly, the firm underpaid our Q3 and Q4 Texas state sales tax. I am now personally responsible for the resulting fines and penalties. Despite these documented failures, the firm still charged $1,000 for "work performed" during the period these errors occurred. When I reached out to the owner to dispute this, they refused to take any responsibility for the penalties their mistakes caused. If you value accurate bookkeeping and a firm that stands by their professional work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
