I loved the photojournalistic quality of their work, particularly in capturing very natural, beautiful moments in such an artful way. They know how to visually tell a story. Throughout the day, Paul and Jin were very professional while remaining friendly and approachable, making everyone feel comfortable. They provided plenty of direction but never to the point where we felt stiff or awkward. Not only that, but watching this father/son duo work together is so much fun. They both have very different yet cohesive styles of shooting and play off each other beautifully, which gives you a well-rounded final gallery. They were so impressive that one of my bridesmaids even decided to hire them for her special day too! Choosing your vendors is one of the most stressful parts of the wedding planning process, but I Do I Do made the decision so easy. My photos were one of the few things I didn't have to worry about and that is entirely thanks to Paul and Jin. We love our photos so much, thank you!

He was polite, friendly, on time and best of all has a great eye for catching special moments. Guy was also really good at gathering groups together, kind of had the personality of a good MC. He also made sure to make sure our frames were clear of nonsense (phones, tissues, bags, etc). Thank you so much Sorel and Guy for helping to capture such an important day for my family. MY ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHER CANCELED ON ME AT 10:30AM THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING. Andrea came to the rescue and I ended up with higher quality photos than I would have with the original photographer!! When I got the news, my family and I were scrambling. Everywhere we tried to find a photographer with such short notice was leading to a dead end. You can imagine that it was really starting to put quite the damper on my wedding day. But 30 minutes later, I'm signing a new contract with Andrea, on what was CLEARLY her day off. She swooped in with the upmost grace and professionalism. It was pouring rain and 90 degrees outside but she LITERALLY SAVED THE DAY anyway. Andrea could have taken advantage of this situation. She knew I was in a bind and that she was my only hope. Many people in this industry would have taken that opportunity, but not Andrea. Rather than surcharging me, which I was willing to accept, she kept us in our budget. Heaven sent. The quality of the photos speaks for itself, but beyond that -- Andrea KNEW what she was doing. To the point that I was actually grateful that my original photographer didn't work out. She showed up early, got the shot with my makeup artist just before she left, and worked so seamlessly with my videographer despite having JUST MET HIM that it was practically like they were in business together. I've seen some shots she got just from the preview pics and it's incredible how much she captured without me even realizing she was there. There are up-close pictures of my husband and me during our ceremony, yet somehow there are ALSO aerial views from upstairs during our ceremony. HOW DOES SHE DO IT?! That's just straight up magic. Andrea has such a kind and gentle way about her, which was so refreshing in a sea of absolute chaos that is your wedding day. The photos are absolutely gorgeous I AM NOT WORTHY!! I will absolutely be working with her again for any excuse I can get. Your research is over -- FOREVER PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE ONE.

From the moment we met David (recommended by our amazing planner, Jeff Stillwell of Stillwell Events), we knew it was a wonderful match. David is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and an amazing listener. When David referenced notes from our very first conversation a year and a half later (just a little under a month from our wedding), I was beyond impressed and truly touched. We greatly appreciate how David, Julio, and John were all able to quickly respond in the moment and pivot as needed, whether it was to ensure my hair could be touched up to stay perfectly in place or that we could have time to relax before key moments (e.g., the ceremony). As an incredibly detail-oriented bride, I am so grateful for all the attention to detail that was demonstrated from the beginning of our wedding day to the end of the evening. David, Julio, and John managed to strike the perfect balance of making their presence known, while blending in perfectly (one of my friends had commented that most photographers & videographers she had seen at weddings were so loud and even disruptive). Not this team!!!! I will also be forever grateful for all the encouragement and helpful tips and pointers/direction that David and Julio provided throughout Friday and Saturday to make sure that everyone looked and felt their best while remaining confident in being themselves. I still have Julio's voice in my head saying, "Work it!" I am so grateful that David and Julio were able to capture all the photos and videos on my extensive shot list, and then some!! Let me start off by saying that I should have done more research on this woman before hand,…read morehowever, I had a month to plan my wedding and this is what happens when you plan last minute: some things turn out nice and some don't. This is one of the latter... It's been a little over 2 years since this happened, but I remember it vividly, and have always meant to write review... well I finally got to it now lol. First, while we did take just a 3 hour wedding package, that does not mean that the job should be in anyway ill-treated or rushed. Well it felt very rushed, and very half-a$$ed. She had no sense of angles, or artistic sense towards my photos. At least none that were apparent in the photos. I literally (and luckily) had better pictures taken by a guest at the wedding (and for free). Not only was she rushed, but we had to give her all of the ideas for the pictures!! On top of the stress we already had! She never took a picture of me alone with my dress or my husband alone. that saddens me, since it was my wedding! To boot, she took just 1 picture at my reception, only because I begged. Mind you, when we first arrived to the city hall, we were busy with paperwork issues, and didn't take any pictures for the 1st hour, so technically she only worked for 2 hours...at a whopping $600, which she demanded we pay in full right there in my reception!! Since I was just married and in a good mood and all I made the mistake of handing her the money... Then we had to wait...and wait....and wait some more...until we were finally able to reach her. She mad some excuse that she couldn't meet us, and gave our picture CD to her doorman!!! WTF! Since I was leaving abroad, I didn't have time to do anything about it at the time, but really who does that?! She couldn't even give us the courtesy to face us! Anyhow, I took the CD home and when I viewed it, I was disgusted. The pictures were RAW, she didn't even take time to correct flaws, such as red eye, or ill lighting....something that can easily be done from any home computer in a matter of minutes!!!! Out of roughly 200 photos, there were maybe 10 (being kind here) that were nice enough to re-touch and fix (which I had to do). I don't know how she handles her other work, but I would definitely NOT recommend her for WEDDING Photography.

I had always noticed the photos she took which adorned the walls of her office at Paramount where she and I had worked together. When she decided to leave her job as an executive at Paramount and pursue photography as her means of livelihood, I had no doubt that she would be a success at that as well as in the entertainment industry. I hired her to shoot my wedding in 1998 and the photos turned out fabulously. If you know me well, you'd know that I almost never like photos of myself :-O and I am a perfectionist. Well, I was extremely happy with the results. Laurie's style of documentary shooting is just stunning in her ability to capture a moment, a thought, and an essence in a single photo. She truly loves her work and it shows in the way she interacts with people whether from behind the camera or on the street. I recommend Laurie's work wholeheartedly! The funniest thing is that the folks who hire Laurie to shoot their weddings, end up hiring her again to shoot their babies photos in a year or two following the wedding! --Judy
