The sun was bright and promising on the day that would unknowingly herald a profound shift in my life's trajectory--a visit to Jos. A. Bank for what was supposed to be a simple fitting for a suit. This suit was more than just fabric and thread; it was supposed to be my armor for a new chapter, an interview for a job that felt like my destiny. Little did I know, this beacon of hope would soon be overshadowed by a dark cloud, stemming from an encounter that would leave an indelible mark on my psyche. Upon entering the store, I was greeted with an air of sophistication and the promise of transformation. However, this promise was quickly tarnished by the tailor who would assist me. This individual, whose job was to ensure the suit fit perfectly, not just in size but in spirit, carried an aura of disdain and impatience. Each measurement felt like a judgment, every adjustment a critique not just of my physique but of my worth as a person. His words were sharp, cutting deeper than the scissors that trimmed the fabric, leaving invisible scars on my confidence. The suit, once a symbol of hope, now felt like a shroud of inadequacy. I left the store with it in hand (it was also overpriced by the way), but what I carried was heavier than any garment. The tailor's dismissive attitude and harsh words haunted me, turning what should have been a stepping stone into a stumbling block. The job interview that followed was overshadowed by a cloud of self-doubt and insecurity. Each question felt like another fitting with the tailor, each answer a reminder of the disdain I had encountered. Unsurprisingly, the opportunity slipped through my fingers like threads of the suit that was meant to empower me. The ripple effects of this encounter were far-reaching. Confidence, once my ally, had become a stranger. Social interactions became minefields, professional opportunities battlegrounds where I was always outgunned. The suit, which hung in my closet like a specter, served as a constant reminder of that day and the feeling of inadequacy it instilled in me. It was not just a suit but a symbol of a dream deferred, of potential unfulfilled. In retrospect, the tailor at Jos. A. Bank was not solely responsible for the derailment of my aspirations. However, his words and demeanor were the catalyst for a spiral of self-doubt that proved difficult to escape. It is a stark reminder of the power of words and the impact they can have on the trajectory of someone's life. The suit, meant to be a vessel of transformation, became an anchor, dragging me down into the depths of what could have been. This encounter, though seemingly trivial, was a testament to the fragility of self-esteem and the profound impact that a single moment, a single interaction, can have on one's life. It serves as a cautionary tale about the weight of words and the responsibility we all carry to wield them with care. For me, the journey back to self-confidence and the reclamation of my dreams has been long and fraught with challenges. But it is a journey I undertake with the knowledge that resilience is born not from the absence of adversity but from the courage to face it with a suit on. read more

On a recent errand day however I decided to pop in here and give them another shot. This Kohl's is located off of Woodstock Square Avenue right beside the Target, Old Navy and there is a BJ's behind here. It can get pretty jammed packed on the weekends but there has always been plenty of parking but sometimes you do have to wait a while if you're pulling out of this parking lot and on to Woodstock Square Avenue. There are lots of cars turning in from highway 92 and lots of cars coming from BJ's. So you want to be patient....you turn will come... I had heard recently that they were starting to sell Mally Roncal's make up here. I've been buying Mally Beauty for years and was interested to see if there was going to be new items exclusive to Kohl's...but when I got there I saw that the display case was completely empty and so I guess they weren't ready yet which was fine. I thought the store was organized and the merchandise were neatly displayed. They had some super cute teen sweatshirts for the fall and some very cute holiday dresses for little toddlers. Eventually I made my way to the panty hose section....I know most people don't wear hose anymore but I still wear them to the office especially in the winter time where my boss runs the A/C 365 a year. I figured since I'm here I'd minds well pick up a few since I'm always going through them....well they were out of my color and my size... Based on that the fact that they didn't have the item that I wanted to purchase in stock and the fact that I must of walked by at least 3 employees on the sales floor and 2 in the bathroom...No one offered to help me or asked if I was looking for anything in particular...I will give them a 3 stars. I think this is fair since I've had a bad experience in the past and this time I felt my experience was luke warm. Maybe next time if they will have the items I want in stock...I can up them to another star....
