I visited this location after having a bad experience at a nearby menswear retailer. The service I received here in comparison was night and day - the associates greeted us when we came in, offered sizing/styling advice, and were extremely patient. I can't say that I've had a similar experience at any other retail location. Susan and her colleagues did an incredible job. She spent over an hour helping me find a blazer and dress pants that fit my frame well. I've struggled to find clothing - suits in particular - that fit well. If I would've read the reviews prior, I wouldn't have gone. I am so so glad that I didn't read them. They are not accurate to the experience I had. There were two ladies there today who helped my fiancé and I. Annemarie was who helped put together everything for our groomsman and helped to pick out a slim fitted suit for my fiancé. We got the 80% off sale today, so that's an added bonus. But overall, Annemarie was so helpful, friendly, and helped to put my vision to life. Thank you both for all your help! read more

First off, their prices are awful. They are more expensive than Men's Warehouse. But at least Men's warehouse has quality products and service. Their tailor has no clue what he's doing. I am a size 34-36 waist, 30-32 inseam. The pants he gave me back were a 44 waist and a 24 inseam, that's right, 24. And I was left with no choice but to wear them because of a wedding I needed to go to the next day. He left all of the leftover seams and threads inside, completely unprofessional. I paid $513 in the end, having to pay each time for him to repair his mess, 3 total trips and this place isn't even that close to me ...and even in the end it still wasn't right. I took it to Miller's Tailor in Aurora and they were in shock, they said the pants looked almost like capri pants made for a 400lbs person. How embarrassing. I knew something was wrong when each time I went back, the tailor would come out from the back, likely just waking up from his nap, and did not once use a measuring line, not once. He just looked at me, made marks on the pants, and said ok you're done. What a worthless human being. And I was charged for this!!! I will never go back there again, unless it's to light them up and demand my money back for this piece of crap suit. Do not go here, it's garbage. He said I could have another one for free but I told him I didn't need 2 and why couldn't he sell me one for like 225 or something like that. He said no way. Had a tuxedo rental for a wedding in North Carolina. Was fit in Rockford, IL and tux picked up and returned to Geneva Commons location. Did not end up even going to the wedding because my wife went into labor Friday morning and delivered Friday night. We were discharged from the hospital on Sunday night so I was unable to get the tuxedo back in time. Returned the tuxedo on Monday morning to Wendy the store manager, she still charged me a late fee for the tuxedo and said that she couldn't do anything about it. Terrible customer service at this location. Will continue to use the Men's Wearhouse in Geneva because they provide awesome customer service and I know they are sister companies, but something is wrong with this location. Would recommend avoid coming to this location, head down Randall Road a little bit to Men's Wearhouse. read more

The first time I went to Jos A Bank Clothiers, I walk out after 10 minutes, as no one wanted to help me - Apparently, people wearing weekend attire are not the clientel that interested the sales people, (even though I wear a suit to work every weekday). I went back to the store, however, when their buy 1 get 2 suits free sale began. I worked with a sales person that went back and forth between me and another customer. I chose three suits and worked with one of thier "tailors." Two weeks later, when i was told the suits were "ready," I went back to pick them up. When i put them on, I was amazed! Amazed at how awful the suits were tailored. Every one of them was wrong. I understand that often times, one needs to be re-measured when suits need to be tailored, but these suits were awful. The cuts were wrong, the measurements were way off, the shoulders were nearly concave. And the worst part...one of the sales people tried telling me that it is normal and the suits looked good. Again, I wear a suit every day. I waited a week, and went back when the tailor was available. I tried on the suits again to be re-measured, and the tailor told me that they were so bad they would need to reorder the same suits and do it again. It would take a few weeks. I spent a ton of money and took three trips to the store, and I left the store with nothing. All the store manager could say was, "Sorry it didn't work out." I will never shop at this store again. I had to buy a suit for a wedding from this place. I was told I had to use a specific salesperson when I went in to get my suit fitted. Despite trying to set up a time when he was working, my schedule seemed to conflict with his which meant I had to go in on a day when he was not there. At first the salesperson I talked to said he wasn't sure if he could help me because I was under the other employee's notes and he did not have access to them. He had to look up sales history of the groom in order to figure out what I needed. He found the suit and I got fitted and left. Everything seemed good until I received a call from the employee who was in charge of the wedding account. He told me they forgot to add a vest to the order which would be another $60 on top of the $200 I had already paid. So I had to find time to go back to buy the vest, which I did. The employee in charge of the wedding account was there and sold me the vest. Last week, I picked up my suit after alterations and took it home and realized that they did not include the tie with the suit. So I had to go back. Again. I walked in and of course the wedding employee was not in. The salesperson that helped me had to look at order history again to see what tie I needed. You would think that a group order like that would see you set everything aside, but no, after looking for the tie in the store, they had inexplicably sold out. They then offered to ship the tie, which wouldn't work because it wouldn't come in before the wedding. The best option they had was for me to drive another 40 minutes away to pick the tie up at their Bolingbrook location. On top of that I had to pay another $30 for the tie.
