I won't go to the Brookfield store again nor order online. I moved to this area 2 years ago and have been a Jos A. Bank customer for 30 years or so. The Brookfield store is a complete disaster, with miss-sized irregular clothing and trash strewn throughout the store and changing rooms. The franchise owner obviously doesn't care. The staff was incoherent and didn't even speak. The online store is just as bad and the lack of quality and inconsistency is actually consistent. All Jos A Bank stores are apparently a disaster & should close shop. read more

Save the headache and your time ordered suit for wedding in January got it in June the day before the wedding. Was lied to by staff on many occasions. Made me buy a vest they knew wouldn't fit me and said it can be tailored. Absolutely botched the vest. Would have went to a different store for my vest in my size. The worker cussed at the groom. This place is an embarrassment of a suit store. Oh and I had to come to the store 7 times just to get my complete suit. I should have billed them for my time. Absolutely outrageous. Absolutely terrible experience. Decided to try Joes A Bank for our wedding, huge mistake. They messed up so many times it was laughable service. Between myself and my 6 groomsmen it was roughly 20+ visits and many phone calls to get everything sorted out. Seemed like every time we went in we dealt with someone new and all equally clueless. They messed up almost every persons order in every way possible.The workers lost measurements multiple times and needed to re-measure us. Not giving us the right shirt, tie, vest on multiple occasions. They needed to redo my jacket 3 times to actually get it to fit properly. They also told us for tailoring they could not get the correct fabric to a vest that we bought from them and they would just use something close. The final straw was when their manager Miguel started swearing at us over the phone when we were upset they ordered us the incorrect tie for my groomsmen and told us we just had to deal with it. I will absolutely never step foot in this store again. Might be fine for a prom but highly do not recommend going here for wedding parties. Hope this review helps. read more

We were in there today Saturday October 28. Manager was there all by herself. She was friendly and explained she was the only one there. She kept track of who needed to be waited on next,greeted each customer who walked thru the doors. All with a smile. She told me she had just taken over the store and apologized for how messy it was bjt promised she was working to get it all back into shape. This women was amazing. Working everday all day. Said she can't find help. Seems no one wants to work. She was not bitter she was determined to make this a great store. I wished I would have gotten her name to give her a personal shout out. Needed a suit. Went in got a suit. Was fitted and the suit is now being tailored to fit. So far I'm very happy with the process. The second I walked in the door and explained what I needed and what I wanted to spend they gave me all that and then some. This place has absolutely horrible customer service. We bought our groomsmen suits from this place and had a terrible experience. They couldn't even get the color of the suits right. Multiple groomsmen had to get suits reordered because they got the wrong color or were sized so wrong. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. When we called to tell them our issues the guy on the phone said "that's cool" and hung up. I called back to talk to the manager and the manager was even worse and said "cancel your order or get the suit the day before the wedding" I've never written a 1 star but these people are awful. read more

I used to shop at Jos A Bank all the time when I lived in Chicago as well as this location. Last 3 times I went (and I am literally sitting in their parking lot now) the staff didn't even say hello. They just go about doing what they are doing and have zero interaction with the customer. I walked around for 15 minutes and decided to go across the street to Men's Warehouse. Terrible experience. I sent my son in, who will be graduating with a finance degree in the spring. Told him to pick out a few suits and get sized to save time later. I always get my suits there and I wanted to be there for the purchase tonight. 'Gary' refused to give my son his measurements. He also tried to sell him two suits for which he would need 7 pairs of shoes???? Now, my son is near the top of his finance class....how many of his friends will be talking about where to and not to buy suits. Im the president of a $300m company. How many of my friends do you think I will tell this story to? Furthermore, I speak all over the country on the topic of customer retention and sales and plan on using this as a case study. Moral of the story: If the lad wants his measurements, give them to him. read more

I have been shopping for a suit to wear to a function and happened upon Jos A Banks for the first time yesterday. Underwhelmed with my options and discouraged thus far with the other major retailers I'd visited, I expected the same overbearing sales approach and drab uninspired product found elsewhere. Tony the manager approached me right away and asked me some key questions to cut to the chase, and started measuring me and putting a few suits on to see. He stuck with me for hours on and off to put the whole look together; shirt, tie, shoes, socks, bag, and even a handkerchief. Then he helped me find a couple blazers on clearance, a couple pairs of slacks, and more shirts. He was super patient and knew his product, he even wad able to meet my deadline for alterations for my event. I couldn't be more pleased. read more

I picked up a tux rental for my brother's wedding. The service I received from Michael was amazing!! He spent time explaining everything on the order and then steamed the entire tux (including the shirt) again to make sure there were no wrinkles after I tried everything on. He treated me like if it was my wedding day and I'm not even the groom!!! Top notch service and attention to detail that you just don't see anymore in our online driven world. I've never shopped at a Jos until recently in my semi frantic search for a place that has everything I need. That's a wide range selection of suit separates, well versed staff to help me, and on site tailoring so I don't have to wait a month for some underpaid kid to do it in lots knows where. I was able to get that all on a Wednesday to pick up on Friday before 3:00pm. Now, my experience was not perfect as the price tags, combined with conflicting store signage made the selection somewhat difficult. For example, a sport coat I tried on with the help of a salesman said 700 on it and I laughed at him saying that would not do. He then told me it was 299. I said let's find something closer to 200. He looked around for something comparable but to no avail so agreed to 250 on the jacket I had on. Awesome. Then when pants time came he honored the sale price that ended the day previous. Awesome again. I appreciate him working with me on the numbers so I could get what I needed. I am not giving 5 stars because the numbers shouldn't be that tricky for the average person to walk in there with a budget. I was also pitched shirts and ties that I didn't ask for or want so that was lame. I assume these folks are working for commissions and trying to up sell all the time. Lastly, my jacket was under tailored if that's a word? It need to be brought in more but they did do it with little notice and in short time. Otherwise it's not a bad deal. Poor service. Two days ago I made an appointment that was suppose to be at 3:00 PM to have a 3 tailor made suits. I called in advance after making my appointment and the manager guaranteed me that it would not take more than 15-20 minutes. I spent an hour waiting for someone to take my measurements and nothing. Something has changed in the Managment because they use to be very efficient. I just walked into Joseph Banks today and had the worst customer service experience in a long time. I've been a customer there for the last 30 years and have purchased over a dozen suites, overcoats, ties, belts and other men's business fashion accessories. They've always treated me well and have stood by their products. Today I walked into the store to get a few seams mended on some suit pants that broke open. Usually they repair with no problem.. Today was greeted rudely with the store representative start by asking me " What do you need" as he watched me enter the store with these pants he probably knew needed repair. Not how can I help you or What seems to be the problem! Then proceeded to tell me he wouldn't even look at the pants until I had gotten them dry cleaned. The pants were perfectly clean, how do you even get suit pants dirty? I explained that in the past they actually fixed the pants and gave them back to me dry cleaned. He rudely said they don't do that anymore with a smug look on his face. I don't know if everyone in retail has just gotten to be jerks lately or its just the person at Joseph A. Banks in Brookfield Wisconsin, but I'll never get anything from there again! read more

Just drove 45min to pick up all the groomsmen's pants for my buddy's upcoming wedding. We had received a call informing us the pants were ready for pickup. When I arrived not a single person in the store knew what I was talking about and made very little effort to help. Absolute disaster. I couldn't disagree with the other reviews more. Most of them are months to years ago so maybe things have improved significantly. I haven't ordered a suit nor had a wedding here. But for just picking out very nice business clothes (sport coats, shirts, pants, ties) I've always found them extremely helpful both in service and guidance and tailoring is always done well. I like working with Pat who is top notch re: service and always makes sure I can find what I want and that it fits well. I pretty much only shop here now for work. read more

Amazing customer service experience. I landed in Milwaukee and realized my sport coat button came off and I lost it. I had 2 hours before a large business presentation. They pulled buttons off another jacket and took care of me in 5 minutes. So happy. Fabi was great! read more

Horrible. We have have had nothing but negative experiences working with this store for our wedding. First, we were told that in order to get the discounted deal for our wedding party, we needed to order all of the suits together. So, as instructed, we gathered all of our groomsmen and usher sizes and names for Jo A. Banks to then call and obtain payment to submit the order. We did as instructed and when we called to submit all of the information, we were told they no longer follow that process, and that each person had to physically go to a store and submit their sizes and payment information. This was a big inconvenience because all of the guys had already been in the stores to get sized, and could have just placed their order at that time. So my fiancé decided, because of the inconvenience, that he would put all of the suits on his card and have the guys pay him back. He drove to the store on a Friday night and waited for TWO AND A HALF HOURS to submit eleven suits and pay for them. What on earth is going on at this location? I am terrified for what's to come based on how the first few steps have gone. read more
