The store was organized really well and had cute items throughout. One nice thing I noticed is they had plenty of the items displayed in the windows- it's always a bummer when you fall in love with something and then there are only a couple in the store. That's not the case here. There are dressing rooms in the back and the staff were helpful and friendly. They also were playing Taylor Swift which I appreciated.

Prices were on the high end but the products unusual so splurge-worthy. I went in there the other day and it looked like the buyers are now about 17 years old. Clothes you would find at the mall perhaps. The cashier was about 17 or 18 years old chatting with a group of her high school friends admiring torn jeans and tank tops. The vibe has changed somewhat and maybe that was their intention. I just think with Mayfair close by we have enough, Hot Topic and Ragstock's that it's not necessary to bring a satellite of those stores to the Wauwatosa Village.

I adore Lela -…read moreI've shopped there frequently in the last several years and always had a top-notch experience with service and merchandise - used and new. However, my most recent experience was not good and hopefully it was a one-off. I stopped in to browse on a Saturday. I did not recognize any of the women working there (4 ladies), which is unusual because there's usually someone I'm familiar with. Anyhow, I was in the store for probably 15-20 minutes and no one greeted me, no one asked if I needed any help (even though one staff person was right beside me a few times putting clothes back on the rack). At first I was surprised and thought that I should say something to them, like "hey how are you doing" etc. However, they never stopped talking amongst the 4 of them - so much so that if I had said anything I would have felt like I was interrupting them! It was very disappointing and unusual - they didn't even take time to say have a good day or anything when I left. There was a Desigual t-shirt that I wanted to try on and purchase but I decided I wasn't going to give them my business since I had felt unwelcome and ignored. I went home and ordered online. Like I said, hopefully this was a one-off and they were all just having an off day.

There was also a very strange purse that was completely beaded with oddly colors and kind of creepy looking cats. I was intrigued but decided maybe the neon cats would better serve someone else. She also has some art by local artists and interesting jewelery and trinkets. A friend got me a hilarious pillow from there that was a tomatoe wearing stockings and shoes. The prices were very reasonable to me. The more expensive things were the very unique items you would have a hard time finding anywhere else. Of course it won't be as cheap as Good Will, but these clothes are legit vintage. If you like these sorts of things I highly recommend checking it out!
