Jordie's is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. It's 5 miles west of Royalton, MN, off hwy 371. It's part cafe, craft store, ice cream, and pie shop. Cozy indoors, tables covered with table clothes to make me feel like I was eating at Grandma's house. Outside is an oasis with its large garden, fish pond, little nook areas to relax and eat. We had their soup and salad buffet. Soups were homemade, and the salad bar was fresh, providing all the basics. Granny's potato soup was my favorite. Next time we stop by, we are going to get the broasted chicken! The employees were super friendly and helpful. They talked about the history of the 1907 building. Hotel, turned bar, then cafe. Currently, three generations of women are making this place special.

I simply love this place. It is in the middle of nowhere but right on the bike trail. Outdoor sitting area will take you back to a different era when things were a little kinder, gentler and slower. It is made for cyclists but car drivers are welcome too. The food is made to order and served fresh of the grill. Food quality is 4-5 stardPrices are very reasonable. Please give this place a try, your taste buds will thank you.

I met a friend here for pie, and what a pie it was! Located in a beautiful old brick building across from the Soo Line Trail, Jordie's is impeccably clean, and decorated in a familiar, kitschy, small town manner. I had a large and decadent piece of 'forest floor pie', which included apples and any kind of berry you can think of. The pie was generously dotted with whipped cream and rested on a berry sauce. The crust wasn't as flaky as I prefer but was tender and flavorful, so I can't really complain. The filling wasn't overly syrupy, and though I was skeptical of all the flavors in one pie, the difference from bite to bite made for a great pie eating experience. The coffee was even adequately strong! I'll have to come back some time and have a full meal in the hopes of upgrading them to five stars. As it stands, it is my new favorite pie shop!

Came to this place after camping for breakfast and let me tell you wish we came here yesterday for dinner instead of Dairy Queen! For breakfast I had the trail side and the French toast with wheat toast. Everything was made fresh to order and very delicious. If and when I come back to Minnesota and to this area I would definitely eat here again.

This was a super find for us on our drive back to the airport from Bemidji. Best burger ever! Great

What a find! I was on my way to Little Falls and decided to take time to venture off the highway to find a bite to eat. In the tiny town of Bowlus, I found a real treasure. Delicious food, beautiful grounds outside, fun eclectic decor inside, and great service. I had the BLT. It came on grilled ciabatta bread, with a side of skinny fries (in between regular fries and shoestring potatoes). So yummy!

Cute cafe. Food was okay. Beef commercial gravy and potatoes were good. Not much beef on it. Same was true for Rueben, not much meet.

Very tasty wraps or a different soup every day. Excellent pie selection, today though, I had German chocolate cake. Nom, nom, nom.
