After a month I called her office to speak with her. Her assistant called me, twice. She wanted me to send photos, that wasn't happening. She wanted me to come to the office. That was pointless, there is nothing she can do and she will never touch my face again. I said what she could do was get on the phone and talk to me. She wouldn't, she hid behind her assistant. So know this, if Dr. Becker treats you and it doesn't turn out right, she will hide and avoid any sort of responsibility for her actions. This is not someone I would want treating my eyes.

Beware of the South Shore Eye Care scam. Staff was very…read morenice, my Dr. (Lask) was excellent. When I checked in (Wantagh Ave. Wantagh) they gave me a few pages to fill out. The last page states if you need a prescription there is an additional $35.00 fee for each one written (if you need glasses or contacts). If you need two different scripts, you will pay $70.00 out of your pocket, insurance does not cover this. I asked the person who gave me the exam and he confirmed if I need a prescription written, I will pay for $35.00 for each one! I did a lot of research and believe this is illegal. Why would I go back if I'm going to get scammed? You shouldn't go here either. Under federal law (the FTC's Eyeglass Rule and Contact Lens Rule), you are entitled to a copy of your prescription immediately after an exam is completed, and you cannot be forced to pay a "release fee," "copy fee," or purchase glasses/contacts to receive it.

When I went to this doctor for follow up, he told me that the debris would go away but such huge chunks could not, I confirmed with another doctor. As a result I had to go to another surgeon who did vitrectomy and placed the haptic in the sac (i.e correctly placed the lens in the eye). Surprising thing is that when the second doctor called Hatsis and said told him that haptic was not in the sac, Hatsis told him that was OK. This is shocking. I would not recommend Hatsis to anyone.

One might expect that a Dr who sees as many patients as he does might not take time with every consult and I can't say that he does but he absolutely did for me. He answered all of my questions and remained to make sure I didn't have any additional questions before he left the room.

The exams can be relatively quick and straightforward. The main waiting area in the front is also very welcoming with hangers to hang your coat. Plenty of seating. Wonderful office!

After having my baby, I noticed I have very sensitive skin and eyes and have been developing styes. One got so bad I had to actually see a doctor for it. I looked like someone punched me with a side of Quasimodo. It was that bad. My mother-in-law is pretty much the queen of northern Wantagh/Levittown and knows the best when she sees it... so I, of course, asked her for the recommendation. Right away she gave me Dr Greenberg's info. I called in the late afternoon and got the first appointment the very next day. Amazing, right? Too good to be true, perhaps? When I arrived at 7:25, I was the first patient and was taken in right away. The optometry assistant (I work in healthcare and have no clue if that's an actual title- is that what they're called? I'm sorry if I'm completely butchering the entire profession) was SO nice and knowledgeable and quick! You should have seen him typing on his iPad. Fast Fingers McGee. I was then taken to another waiting room and then a different room after that. My only gripe- expect to wait a little bit for the doctor. I was in and out in one hour but, again, I was the first patient. I imagine this place gets busy but as long as I always get an early appointment I think I'll be fine. When I finally met Dr Greenberg, it was like seeing an old friend. I overheard him talking to a different patient and he was asking how her family was. You could tell he truly loves what he does and takes an interest in his patients. As a nurse I know how rare this is nowadays. Dr. Greenberg prescribed me a special type of eye drop and my stye cleared up in two days. This place is really great. The staff treats you like family. It's so easy to get an appointment. And it's literally so clean you could eat off their floors. Color me impressed because ModernEyes did not disappoint! If you live in Levittown/east meadow/Wantagh/massapequa, I highly suggest you use ModernEyes for all your eye care needs.

After getting them back I could see nothing and I almost tripped over my own two feet leaving the doctors office. Why go thru all this work in the first place if the doctor admitted I don't even need the glasses. Did not even offer me to come in to fix the lenses or redo the test. Would never return to this terrible place. 0 Stars. Never trust Gary Galante to make you lenses unless you want to crash your car and get into a car accident after you put them on.
