Everything was straightforward and made me feel very comfortable. The staff was amazing and friendly and I would definitely come back again if I have problems with my teeth in the future. I got my wisdom tooth taken out on October 18 yesterday and everything went out perfectly fine. I wasn't bloated and it almost look like I didn't get my teeth taken out because everything was done the right way. Dr. Maguire was my surgeon and he was terrific. I am scared when it comes to needles but he made it painless and quick! I got prescribed pain meds right away and now I can move and talk just fine! Best dental place to get your wisdom tooth taken out, I would recommend to anyone. Only problem is they are a little pricey but they do a good job

Right from day one I knew we were in good hands with all the staff. They were kind and helpful. I have never felt pressured making a decision when given a recommended treatment plan. Their work is spot on and I have never had a problem with any of the completed work. I would highly recommend Day Hill Dental to anyone looking for a dentist.

Not that going to the dentist is ever a comfortable experience, but Day Hill Dental comes close…read more The positives: 1) The facility is very nice, with (what I think is) top notch equipment. When I'm at a doctor's office, I want to know that they buy the most up-to-date equipment, and that they know how to use it. 2) The staff is very friendly. We can all admit that being at a dentist's office doesn't exactly put us in a great mood. The staff at Day Hill Dental understands that, and is very kind without being overbearing (i.e. without the fake smiles and cheeriness). 3) The care is excellent. My hygientist and dentist (Dr. Farber) quickly did the cleaning and exam, and thoroughly explained what was good and what wasn't so good. They also explained things in a non-judgmental way. I've been to far too many dentist offices where you feel like you're the kid who forgot his homework assignment. Not so here - they want you to take care of your teeth, but don't make you feel like you're a naughty kid being lectured. If you live in the area, I would highly recommend Day Hill Dental.

Having never been much of a fan of dentistry (this sort of thing happens when you've had 11 teeth…read moreremoved over various points in youth via the wonders of Novocaine and yanking), I am generally impressed with the work of Dr. Bloom and his dental hygienists. They take Delta Dental (always good for those of us with Delta Dental), and the hygienists know what they are doing, pointing out various issues with teeth and identifying cavities and problem areas. Dr. Bloom himself also has an excellent bedside manner (or is it chair-side?). He also gives helpful recommendations in the case one can't get back into his office in time (he was able to direct me to the UNC Dentristy school to get some cavities done). Also, they have that cool white cavity filler stuff that's always good fun :)

I brought my son to the Wethersfield location to have 4 wisdom teeth extracted at 9:00 am. He is 19 so I did not go in with him, nor was I ever asked if I had any questions or concerns. Not only 15 minutes later I hear my son moaning and wincing in pain. I had to tap on the window to the receptionist and said, " I am pretty sure that I can hear my son, in pain". She tried to tell me that the I was hearing the suction machine. I said "No, that's my son!" She then said "Well, I will go see if he's ok. She closed the window on me, but I slid it back open to see where she went. She pretended to go to the room to check on him, but she did NOT! She came back to the window and said " yes, he's ok." I didn't say anything about seeing her walk to the door and back but never go into the room or even open the door to the room. My son was now quite so I waited a few more minutes. I thought maybe they had given him something more. I then heard him again this time extremely loud. I knocked on the window again and said, " OK now this is unacceptable, and they need to give him something more- he is clearly feeling this procedure!" This time, she did go in the room and came back to me and said "They are almost done. That tooth was really impacted." This is strange because the x-rays prior to this at the pre-op consolation did not show impaction. At about 9:50 am I was called to receive the post op instructions from the women who the Dr referred to as "his assistant". I don't know her name because she never introduced herself. Again, very cold delivery of instructions and when I asked a question regarding the gauze, she spoke over me. By this point, I just wanted to get my son home. When it was time to leave, I was instructed to go out and move my car to the front and they would meet me out there. This woman, the assistant, brought my post-surgery son down from the third floor, in the elevator, by herself. She is small in stature, so I questioned the safety of this because, although my son is not a big person....this is NOT a safe practice for their patients nor for her! At about 2:30 in the afternoon, my son woke up in excruciating pain and concerned because he thought his stitched came out. He had taken the 600mg ibuprofen, as they directed, as soon as we got home (about 10:30) and then at 2:30 he took the prescribed pain med. Because he was in so much pain and worried about sutures, I called the Wethersfield office. Again, I am not sure who I was speaking with because no one ever seems to introduce themselves, not even the surgeon, post op, when he entered the room. But the women I spoke to would not allow me to speak and she would (like the assistant) constantly talk over me. When I said " We did everything you are saying and what I am saying is ..." She cut me off and very nasty, said " Right, what I AM SAYING is..." To which, I hung up the phone. There is not much that can be done at this point. And unfortunately, I have to give it 1 star for this to post. They made sure they collected every penny before they would even come out to get my son from the waiting room. Wish I had read the reviews prior to choosing them, money seems to be their driver. But the teeth were extracted -so there's that! I immediately contacted our family dental practice to let them know of our experience and that they certainly should NOT be recommending any of their patients to this practice. And they provided me with sound and compassionate medical advice. I will be sure to place this review everywhere and anywhere I can, I work in a large, local, hospital, and I will share this story every chance I get. I hope that by doing so, I will save some one (or their loved one) from a terrible experience.
