What I mean is that there was not a bad part of this process. I am 16 hours removed from my first root canal and I. Have. Not. Felt. ANY. Pain. None. I felt no pain in the chair, I felt no pain yesterday afternoon, and I am feeling none this morning. Dr. Patel exudes an air of competence that I found very comforting and it made everything go so smoothly. I'm a high anxiety patient who is unreasonably terrified of dental work and I'm a jerk for not remembering the name of the Dental Assistant from my first visit, but her soothing and professional bedside manner kept me there feeling listened to and safe at my first visit and 'Cassie' was fantastic in the same role the day of the root canal. They treated me with such compassion and I am so appreciative. 'Jay' handled my cleaning and I can't say enough; I've never had a cleaning go better and she took the time to answer all of my questions and talked me through everything. She is a goddess. The front office staff has been judged very harshly in these reviews and I can only say that I found them to be helpful and accommodating. This is the practice you're looking for. You should call.

There are signs in the office begging for reviews and just look at the positive reviewers last names and photos. All freinds/family )) DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! Dr. Patels primary focus is his bank account. absolute joke of a DR. Make sure you triple check your bills and appointments as they will try and double bill or over bill you for things. my daughters procedure was suppose to be a frenectomy and filling in ONE APPOINTMENT. Like the selfish money hungry people they are, they scheduled 2 appointments one for the filing and one for the frenectomy. so I was given 2 estimated bills about 200$ a piece, Both bills also had charges for nitrous oxide. I was concerned about my child having nitrous used on her twice and asked why the filling and frenectomy were not being done together in 1 appointment . I was first told it wasn't possible. after I kept questioning the women on the phone she went to talk with Patel and came back saying they would "allow me" to merge the two appointments. (so kind of them to allow me to keep the money(about 200$) they tried to screw me out off, by making 2 appointments with nitrous instead of one.) on sept. 14th my daughter had her procedure . . .which was a horrific nightmare. I was charged 100$ for nitrous and while they put the mask on her face they never talked her through taking calming breathes. she was upset and crying and saying she could still feel where they had " already numbed" . . .both patel and the hygienist kept telling my daughter " No Reason To Cry" & they would show her the tools first, or explain first before they did anything, just so she would calm down or mover her hands from blocking her face. . but they never did explain or show her creating alot of fear an disturst for my 8 yr old. in the end they had another hygienist come in at the last second to abruptly hold my daughters arms down, at this point she was screaming in fear and pain as patel began to slide a laser tool back and forth on her frenulum. Id also like to let everyone know just in case you decide to traumatize your child here, they Will Deny your request for a school note stating, " we have patients that get dental implants and are back to work in 2 days" Now I'm not gunna even get into how ridiculous comparing an adult and childs recovery period is. but it speaks volumes on patels arrogance and lack of compassion for his patients especially children. They will also over exagerate the amount of days you requested the note for and not return ur phone call requesting the note. just an overall terrible dentistry. ** & AGAIN BEWARE OF THOSE FAKED 5 STAR REVIEWS FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF PATEL**

Receptionists are rude and the business manager is exceptionally unprofessional. My daughter had a tooth replaced. Not only did this practice drag out the procedure into six appointments over the period of seven months, but they changed the cost of the procedure three times. This procedure wasn't covered by our dental insurance. We paid out of pocket. Our insurance company has indicated that this is a predatory practice used to garner more money from a patient. To top this all off I was texted on a Sunday morning from the dentist's personal number to "remind" me of an appointment for the following morning that I wasn't even aware of - barely giving me 24 hours notice. Because I declined without giving them 24 hours notice they have charged me a $100 cancellation fee. This dentist is an unethical Creeper. I am naturally wary of new dentists, and finding a new one is kind of like going to the oncologist to check out that new lump you just found... Finding Mimosa Dentistry is like that same oncologist being like "nope - not cancer!" It takes a while to earn my trust but I've now been to Mimosa four times, including having some work done, and these guys are legit. I am more grateful to have landed with them than I can express. FYI - there are TWO Drs. Bui - they're brothers, both educated at UPenn. My favorite is Dr. Loc Bui (DMD), who is so humble he will tell you his brother is "the smart one" but who is so careful and gentle with my teeth and my panicky self. My husband sees his brother, Dr. Toan Bui (DDS), who my husband says is hilariously intense, but also very good. ("The most thorough cleaning I have ever had," to quote him.) It took my husband and I about six months to figure out there were two doctors here with the same name and we had some very confusing conversations about our "dentist" in the meantime. I'm torn about posting this review because it selfishly benefits me to have as few people as possible find out about this amazing little gem of a practice... but when I remember all my fellow dental-sufferers with unnecessary root canals and a string of fillings for "microcavities" (?!?) - I know I can't keep Mimosa for myself.

I called them immediately giving them 4.5 hours notice that I wouldn't be able to make my appointment. The lady on the phone was rude and informed me that they will charge a fee for cancelling. Out of all the years that I have been a patient, I NEVER canceled and I always payed my bill immediately. I am saddened by the way I, a long term patient, was treated. When I asked to reschedule she said "When", I said anytime next week...her reply "Nope" (she didn't even have time to look at the schedule)... I said ok how about the next week, she said "I guess", not giving me any possible dates or times....eventually I was able to reschedule. I am so upset about this......I have recommended this dentist to many family members and friends. I sure hope they don't get treated the same way......I will never recommend again. BTW: The Dentists are extremely nice and good at what they do.
