Roots that do t match that I will need to color correct

Do not go here if an experienced stylist is what you are looking for. I'll explain. I visited Jonny Levi salon in Winslow about a week ago for cut, color, and deep conditioning. The very green stylist failed to apply color to three spots on my head. Two on the right side near my temples and one directly on top of my head. I noticed the two in front and got her to come out of the break room to fix it. I didn't see the patch of grey hair on top that she missed. She apologized and said that the lighting in the salon was bad and she couldn't see it. She said she could repair it. I told her I didn't want to stay longer than the three hours I had already spent there and could come back after my company leaves in a week. I told her to call me to arrange but that my schedule would be free in a week and up to two weeks. It was then the manager, Sarah, comes out and tells her to do it before I leave. I was half way through my blow out at this time and said I would not like to stay longer that I have already been in the salon for three hours. Sarah then says she's a new stylist and three hours is how long it takes a new stylist. Again, the new girl apologizes. Sarah then tells the new girl she would like her to fix it before I go because me coming back to the salon for a repair would be "A WASTE OF HER TIME". At this point I told Sarah the conversation made me feel uncomfortable and maybe should have been discussed in the back room. I shared with both of them that hearing myself be referred to as a waste of time made me feel unvalued as a customer. Sarah left, the new girl said she'd schedule the repair color with me and we parted in good terms. The root color did not match it was a hot red and my color was a medium warm reddish brown. I wanted to give her a chance to see if the hot red might fade but then I get a call from the owner. Six days later Jonny Levi calls me and for 10 minutes he's yelling and hurling insults at me to tell me I manipulated the situation and that I am forbidden from coming back to the salon. He called me a liar and berated me in an all out verbal assault. I asked him if he'd like to hear my side of the story and he said no. Then he proceeded to scream further until he hung up. I was left shocked, shaken, and speechless. He then sends me a scathing text followed by an email that threatens me that he will make public our private communication if I share my experience publicly. As a survivor, this is something I will not tolerate. I will not be verbally assaulted by a man who then threatens me into submission. His salon made the error, he verbally assaults me on the phone, then he threatens me if I tell. So Jonny Levi, I want you to know that not only will I never visit your salon of amateur stylists again, but I will not cower in fear from your threats. Ladies and gentleman, please feel free to read the email that he threatened to use against me below. It's in the last paragraph where he threatens me if I go public with what transpired.       "Hello. I am sending this email to inform you that we will no longer be offering you services at the Jonny Levi Studio. Over the course of time as a guest we have been kind and overly giving with services such as free blow dries for your daughter or visiting friends while you received your personal services. Throughout the time as a guest, you continue to dictate how a service should be performed and discredit the knowledge of our licensed stylists, often referring to "your hairstylist friend in California" as some kind of authority on how certain services should be done.       To discredit the service provider in my business is also discrediting the brand and the directions we are provided as licensed professionals from companies whose policies we follow in full. We are the authority in how we do hair and how we will accomplish a task.       There have been attempted manipulations during services. This is in reference to you discrediting my manager at your last visit and then demanding that you would be coming back in three weeks for the adjustment/ to cover a grey hair instead of allowing your artist to finish the service in full at the time of your visit. Our policy for adjustments is two weeks and determined by me. I am also aware that you spent that time telling my brand-new artist that my manager is not "management material." You do not have the authority or knowledge of the workings of the Jonny Levi Studio and why leadership is in place. Your opinion is not relevant here and not needed.       The decision has been made to release you as a client for the remainder of the businesses existence. Should you try to retaliate by posting a review in any compacity to manipulate the situation again I will make this email the public response to that review.                                      Jonny Levi, Owner, CEO

My hair looks great every time I leave the salon after seeing her, as well as over the next several weeks. She's not only highly skilled, but a good listener and honest whenever she offers recommendations. My hair was nearly at my hips, I love layers, a V-shaped cut, and wanted some curtain-ish bangs. Ellery was so patient, warm, and has such a great vision with hair. She took her time getting to know me and what I like, and made sure everything was going well throughout our appointment. We cut off a good couple inches to make sure we got all the dead ends off, and Ellery flawlessly layered my hair and blended it all together. She was super fun to talk to, as well! She first cut my hair wet, and then went in after it had dried to do some fine tuning, which I super appreciated because I was able to see how my hair would look on a daily basis as she was cutting it. Hawthorn is definitely on the more expensive side, but worth it for a quality haircut that will grow out well. Thank you!!!

BEST decision!!!! Kelli is experienced. Kelli listens. If my old stylist reads this, please don't have hurt feelings... but I'm SO HAPPY with Kelli's haircuts. Kelli has a great reputation for doing color, and is extremely knowledgeable about hair care and chemistry. I'm in my late 50's with untreated gray hair, and some unpredictable natural curls, and Kelli knows exactly how to cut hair like mine. She is really interesting to talk to as well, so I enjoy my time in her chair immensely. I look great leaving her salon. I can do my own hair the next time I wash it, and it looks great week after week. And yes, I've gone back to her again. THANK YOU, Kelli!! Her salon is located a few blocks from downtown Winslow with easy plentiful parking. It's quiet. One client at a time. She is a treasure

I had another…read morestylist (not this salon) accidentally apply dark toner applied in July over highlights and came to Heather in November in the hopes that she could lift the color and introduce soft highlights that would re lighten my hair. I requested face framing ombré style highlights and showed her two reference images. I also asked for a very blunt edge trim at the bottom of my hair. The cut was not blunt and Heather didn't cut it in a straight line as requested. My face framing highlights do not align at all, and less than two weeks later are extremely brassy. (I have been washing with purple shampoo and high quality products. I figured this could be corrected and I reached out to Heather to see if there was something we could do and showed her images of the brass highlights (that were new highlights done by her especially in the front section of my hair) She responded days later only when I followed up with a second text politely asking if she saw my text. I never expected a free redo. I fully intended on paying for any correction she did. I was surprised when Heather not only responded that this was due to my "greys" as you can see in the first photo (which was taken right before my hair appointment) my hair had very little greys on one side of my hair as I just started greying during the pandemic. My message to her: "Hi heather it's xx you did my hair a little over a week ago. I've tried to get used to the change but I'm so not happy with the hair color as the color now looks like I have grey streaks instead of color. Is there any way we could work to correct this please? " Her message to me: Hi xxxx, I'm so glad we were able to lighten and get the results we did given the color correction aspect and starting point of the service. As we had discussed it will be a process to get to where you want it. The brassiness is residual from the toner/color the previous guy stylist used. A violet shampoo would help with any brassiness.   Given the parameters of what your looking to achieve the best service for you would be a balayage. That way you can get your gray roots taken care of as well as work on the highlights.                                                                  I actually don't offer the balayage technique, and unfortunately don't have any stylist recommendations of ones who do the service. I really wish you the best in finding the perfect stylist for you!" No effort whatsoever to the fact that my hair looked the way that it did nor did I ask for a balayage. I went In for an ombré look and somehow left with highlights that started all the way in the top which are now so brassy. Furthermore, I was told this would cost about 120 and I left the salon paying 230. Definitely not worth it as I now have to find someone that can somehow help me correct the color of the highlights. As a business owner, I realize hair isn't an exact science and that it does take a few visits to get a certain results... but I do not understand how someone could be dismissed and not even offered an appointment to attempt correction, even if it meant paying again. Heather is nice, but she didn't do what I asked, and didn't help correct the issue when I was unhappy with the result. I also feel like she didn't honor my requests with a blunt cut or ombré look with light face framing light highlights and instead did what she felt would look best on me, not what I asked for. And didn't help me out when I expressed dissatisfaction.
