The inside of the building was clean, and the staff made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I was able to get my teeth cleaned and receive the dental care I needed, and I truly appreciate the kindness everyone showed me throughout my visit. My only small suggestion would be to check the front entrance, as the spiders outside were there to greet me before I even made it inside! Other than that, my experience was great. Everyone was such a blessing, and I left feeling happy and grateful for the care I received. I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone looking for a friendly, professional, and caring dental team. Thank you all for making my visit such a positive experience!

The office is clean and comfy with a TV and free WiFi. First visit for an exam and x-rays took longer than expected. We returned 2x for a cleaning and extraction which went well. We left with clear instructions and a prescription in hand. Best yet, my loved one said they're "professional, nice and it was the best cleaning I ever had!" They accept PPO and have a $129 annual membership for those without insurance. It covers the exam and x-rays. Regular cleanings average $95 additionally. There's a small processing fee for credit cards. SUM - We'll definitely return to Southern Smiles Family Dentistry, I highly recommend. Shoutout to Nette and Dr. Evans!

Despite being busy they managed to keep everything running smoothly, and I was in and out in no time without feeling rushed. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better dental experience.

My appointment was at 2pm…read more Came here from dent first just due to back to back issues arising after I would have an appointment so I wanted to switch to a different practice. I was gonna go to the office in Stockbridge due to their great word of mouth reviews but saw this one was a lot closer so decided to come here since it's under the same umbrella. First negative was I had multiple phone conversations to verify my insurance and I figured it was resolved by the last call however when I came to check in the lady at the front desk said she never got in contact with my insurance but as soon as she"tried again" in front of me I was miraculously verified. I was asked to complete the same documents I completed online which took about 10 minutes to complete the mini stack of papers. I'm waiting on my x-rays to be sent over by email because I was told I would'nt be seen until they receive them but the assistant at my old dentist said she sent them while we were on the phone but I'm still in the waiting area at 2:30pm waiting to be called back. I was called back at 3:15pm Second negative I'm pregnant and wasn't aware I needed my obgyn approval to come to the dentist. I spoke with someone from this dentist office 5 different times and told them I'm pregnant not once was a DMA form brought up not ONCE. So I'm sitting here almost 2 hours from my initial appointment time getting it faxed over. The thing that really pissed me off was the hygienist assistant calling me a liar because I told her I signed the form saying I'm pregnant on the paperwork given to me when I checked in. It asked if I was pregnant I said yes I wasn't asked for or about a clearance form until I sat down in the back. I'm livid because I could clearly hear this woman down the hall saying how I just lied to her. If you want to talk about a client either say it direct, out of ear shot, or not at all. I was able to quickly get the approval from my doctor but the damage has been done. If I knew my experience would've been like this I would've stayed at my old office.

I have had a frustrating experience transitioning to this practice…read more First, when I spoke to someone on the phone to schedule my initial appointment, I was told my first visit would include a cleaning. I arrive and then am asked to complete paperwork I already filled out online. Once I get to the back I am told we are waiting for the hygienist because they are backed up and then am told the cleaning won't happen and that I would need to come back in multiple weeks because the hygienist was going on vacation. I tell them that I was told by the person who set up my appointment that my cleaning would happen in the same appointment and then they say well they aren't the ones who schedule so can't be blamed. Y'all are the same practice so I would hope the right hand knows what the left is doing. Then when I go to pay and check out, I am told there is in fact an appointment the next day, which I take so I can get the cleaning that I was promised that day. During my initial appointment, I inquired about teeth whitening and was told that I should do my cleaning first and that it may be some time since the hygienist I was working with was preparing for time off. Again, when I went to pay and check out, additional charges were for my cleaning were added for toothpaste and mouth wash that I didn't ask for but made it seem like it was part of the process. Additionally, I was told there was in fact an appointment for teeth whitening the following week which I took. Now this is the real reason I am frustrated and why I am writing this lengthy review. I was told that it would take two hours for the process and it in fact took 3. The hygienist has multiple other things going on and took way longer between each 15 minute sessions to reset. She blamed me for not timing the bell and I in fact rang the bell but never got a response. During the whitening visit, I was supposed to get a whitening tray but they said they broke it and I would need to come back Monday morning (it was a Saturday) and it would be ready. So I come back Monday early afternoon on a work break and then am told they won't have it ready and that I should've called before coming even though the hygienist said it would be ready and I would need to pick it up. Once it is finally ready, I learn that I didn't even get all the materials I was supposed to get including a case and another hygienist apologized and gave me the orientation on how to use the whitening and soothing gel which should've been explained by my previous hygienist. Furthermore, its been two months since the cleaning. I feel like my teeth haven't whitened. The money and time and difficult process has made me question if it was worth the insurance and out of pocket expenses. Lastly, they asked for feedback and to share it with them before posting. I shared my feedback with no response so I am posting here. I will not be returning.

Okay, I'm a little late posting this review, as our visit to Southern Regional Medical Center was…read moreon May 1st, but I still felt it was important to share our experience. My father had taken a fall and his knee had swollen to nearly three times its normal size, so he asked me to take him to the ER. We are fairly new to the area so we went with the closest hospital. We arrived around 9 PM. To be fair, the initial intake process -- vitals, insurance, and registration -- was handled within a reasonable amount of time. However, after that, the wait became absolutely unbelievable. My father was not taken to have x-rays until nearly midnight. Honestly, I'm not even sure he would have been called back when he was had he not gone to the desk himself to ask what was taking so long. By that point, both my 12-year-old son and I had actually fallen asleep in the waiting room. Once he finally got called to the back about 4 AM we learned there was only ONE ER doctor on duty that night. EMS arrivals understandably took priority, but that meant anyone who walked in by car just kept getting pushed further and further aside. I completely understand emergency prioritization, but it is difficult to understand how an ER can function properly with only one physician covering the entire department. At one point, I was ready to leave and take him somewhere else, but after already waiting so many hours, we felt stuck. Eventually, the doctor read his x-rays and bloodwork results and discovered that while he had no broken bones or sprains, his potassium levels were dangerously high, his kidney numbers were low, and his blood pressure was also very low. Thankfully, those labs likely uncovered a much more serious issue than the original injury itself, and for that I am grateful. He was ultimately admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, the delays continued after admission. A doctor briefly stopped by Saturday morning, but he was not properly seen again until Sunday. That level of delay for admitted patients is concerning and, honestly, unacceptable. Now, with all of that said, I absolutely want to acknowledge the staff members we encountered because THEY are the reason this review went from a 1-star to a 3-star experience! Big shoutout to Crystal at the front desk/check-in area. She was patient, kind, and professional throughout the chaos. We also encountered Dakota, Nurse Donna, Peter, Sonia, and Nurse Lea, and every single one of them showed empathy, patience, understanding, and excellent bedside manner despite clearly being overworked and understaffed. They did the best they could with the resources they had, and it showed. This review is truly directed toward hospital leadership and administration. The staffing shortages are hurting both the employees and the patients. A hospital cannot properly serve its community if it does not have adequate staffing in its emergency department and patient care areas. The staff turned what was an absolute nightmare experience into a more tolerable experience through sheer professionalism and compassion alone. But unfortunately, based on this experience, I will NOT return to this location unless absolutely necessary!

After waiting more than five hours, I was told I needed additional shots, only to be left waiting…read moreeven longer. The entire experience felt less like patient care and more like an assembly line: move here, wait here, get this, then wait again for that. What stood out most was not just the delay, but the lack of organization and empathy. There was little sense of urgency, very little communication, and even less concern for the pain and frustration patients were clearly experiencing. The shift change from night staff to day staff only made an already chaotic situation worse. It was disorganized, inefficient, and incredibly discouraging when you are already not feeling well. This was pointed out by one of the day nurses. The other nurses at the front desk of the ER simply responded with a very dismissive K when I stated my concerns in tears and had to leave to go somewhere else because of the pain. The most telling part of the experience was hearing multiple people in the waiting room say they wished they had gone to Emory instead. Unfortunately, after spending over six hours there myself, I understood exactly why.
