Review of Jones Home Maintenance LLC
I hired Jones home maintenance LLC to tile and remodel my kitchen island. At the outset, we were told the job would take approximately five days. The night before the scheduled start, Patrick (the contractor) called to inform us that he would no longer be able to begin the job as promised. This was incredibly disappointing, as we had already made multiple arrangements--moving our children and dog out of the house--to accommodate the work.
When we explained the inconvenience and the additional cost we would now incur, Patrick Jones of Home Maintenance LLC acknowledged the issue and said he would try to make adjustments on his end. He eventually showed up on Tuesday 15th July 2025 to begin the project. Unfortunately, what was promised to be a five-day job has now extended well beyond that--16 days and counting--and the work is still not complete with my garage and front yard messy with material and disposables.
To make matters worse, Patrick became increasingly unresponsive when my husband made several attempts to contact him, but the calls went unanswered. Out of concern, my husband even reached out to Patrick's brother, who claimed he too had been unable to reach him. At this point, my husband genuinely began to worry that something may have happened to Patrick.
However, we soon noticed Patrick actively responding to job inquiries on the Upper Valley community page, which was disheartening given that he was ignoring our calls and had left our job unfinished. I was out of the country at the time and kept asking my husband for updates, but there was no progress.
Eventually, I called Patrick myself from a number he wouldn't recognize. He answered. When I asked about the status of our kitchen, he claimed he thought his brother had finished the job. I reminded him that he was the contractor we hired, not his brother, and it was his responsibility to ensure the job was completed. He stated he would come by to complete the work and this is yet to be done. I called him again on July 31st to follow up on completion my calls also went unanswered.
This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Patrick's lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism has truly broken our trust. Keeping in mind he has been paid in full.
We expected better and would caution others to proceed with great care when considering Jones Construction Ltd. for any remodeling work. read more
