Took my cat into the vet because he peed on my duvet & it seemed like he was trying to tell me something. Dr. Booth did a Urinalysis & blood work. First time I called for the results, I was promised a return call. Nothing. Second time I called, I was informed the office was closed for four days due to fumigation. Third time I called, I was told they'd "email me the results." Lol. Really? Can you email me a vet to explain them as well? I heard nothing for the rest of the day. Exasperated, I went to the office in person the next day. I asked for an office manager & spoke to Holly. She assured me, she'd call me herself. A few hours later, she did. My cat had a UTI. I was so angry. He went more than a week with an untreated UTI because the office couldn't be bothered with calling & getting us set up with antibiotics. Usually, we all think that if you don't hear from the vet, the test results were perfectly fine. I assumed this as well but still wanted confirmation. If I hadn't pushed this, no one would have called & my cats UTI most likely would have escalated into something much worse like blockages or kidney failure. As it was, he was in pain all this time & I didn't know. This veterinary office had always been good up to this point but they seriously dropped the ball with this one & it's unacceptable. I'm pulling my two cats & going elsewhere. If you think I'm pissed off now, imagine how angry I would have been had I lost my sweet boy. Failure to communicate a medical problem is malpractice and incompetence. Dr. Mary Booth needs to do better. Pets are family. read more

Wonderful Vet, great technician. I had an emergency with my 11 year old dog and needed help. I called several vets in the Hemet area but no one seemed to care. Took my Great Dane Apollo there yesterday. I have been going to this office for over 20 years and nothing has changed. Ok maybe a few faces. Dr. Jones and his staff have always been very helpful and understanding to my animals needs and my checkbook. They are not an office that pushes unnecessary test or procedures on you just to line there bottom line. I still feel even after 20+ years that they are one of the best vet offices in the San Jacinto valley. Thank you for being there. read more

I have a bull mastiff who is not the easiest to deal with . Dr Jones came recommended , and was glad to take my buddy in there. First off the place is very clean, staff was very nice. Dr Jones examined my buddy himself. There was no extra charge for anything as compared to others. Dr Jones was very professional at all times. I am definitely coming back here. read more

We have taken our Australian Shepherd and our Standard Poodle to both Dr. Jones and Dr. Headley for at least 7 years. They are both very knowledgeable, kind, caring and professional. Our Aussie had a huge mass removed from his abdomen when he was about 11 years old and he recovered beautifully. Our poodle had a cancer in one of his toes also at about 11 years of age and Dr, Headley removed the toe. The poodle recovered quickly and with no ill effects. They are good surgeons, good with the after care and we trust them with our precious pets. This week I took my neighbor and his brand new 9 week old puppy to Dr. Jones. He just got the puppy from Craigslist and she had a bad case of diarrhea. Dr. Jones examined her, gave her some oral meds to coat the stomach, some more meds to give her at home and a free sample of better food than she had been given. By the next day, we could see improvements and now 3 days later she is doing really well. He also advised the new owner on how to feed her, when to bring her in for shots and the appropriate time for spaying. He took the time that this new owner and puppy needed, answering questions and concerns as they came up. We feel that they are compassionate and reasonable in all that they do. read more

The have been treating my Jack Russell for years, they know to put a muzzle on her. Dr. Jones grabbed her out of my arms, and he got bit. Another vet came into the room and told me my dog needs to be put to sleep. I told them how sorry I was that the vet got bit, but it is written on her chart, and the muzzle was laying on the counter. He was in such a hurry to grab the dog out of my arms he did not put it on her, and got bit. I will not go back to them, which is sad because they were good. But now the vet's and staff hates my dog. read more

Dr Jones and Dr Headley by far are the best vets in all of Hemet. They have taken good care of my 3 dogs for years. Lucy had 2 operations that Dr Headley did...he basically saved my doggies life. Dr Jones is great because he has taken Cate of my dogs when they are sick and the vets there show compassion for each and every dog that goes in there. Don't look any further, go there when your dogs are ill, I promise you they will be taken care of. The staff is great too...all of them. Thanks you guys, you ALL are awesome. Dr. Jones and Dr. Headley are just the best! And their staff is even better. My Max loves going there, never hesitates to walk in the door and practically jumps into their arms. Both vets are great about giving me choices for his care, taking my budget into consideration. They stay up to date on new procedures and science, and are open to anything I ask them about. From what I read on the internet, chlorpheniramine is used for cough as well as other allergic reactions, so this was not an error at all, let alone a "serious error," and I would like to retract that statement. But the fact remains that the vet I have established with in my new city refused to re-prescribe chlorpheniramine for my dog, stating that it was a waste of my money, that chlorpheniramine is a used for allergic skin reactions and that it has not been doing any good for my dog's cough, and it is his opinion that the medication should not have been continued for so many years, and I agree with this, as there has been no difference at all since discontinuing the medication. He still coughs a few times a day, I give him medicine-less cheese now, he stops coughing immediately and remains cough-free for several hours, untill I give him some more medicine-less cheese. It's the exact same reaction with and without the medicine. I do want to make it clear that even at this point, I still think very highly of Dr. Jones and his staff. They are all very intelligent, hardworking individuals who obviously care about the pets brought to them, and I'm certain that in most circumstances anyone going there will receive excellent or even superior care for their animals (which is why I went there for so long), but I also think that if anyone has a pet that is on long-term medication, the necessity and efficacy of those medications need to be reviewed on a regular basis, and this procedure should be put into effect in every office. read more

Can't complain about the service received but be cautious if you are using their services after your animal has been attacked or hurt by another animal or person. I took my dog to them after he had been attacked by two pit bulls and after struggling with the owner to get the medical bills reimbursed the office manager took it upon herself to not only hand over copies of my dog's file but then counsel her on what she thought the lady should and should not pay. Permission to release the information was never requested nor would have been given seeing as how there is a lawsuit pending but all the same they were all too willing to hand over information to someone who wasn't even a client. When I contacted the doctor to relay my horror and disappointment, he threw a guilt trip at me saying I should just be glad my dog was fine and be thankful to them for everything they did for him.
