They told us that because she's in marching band the pads would need to be replaced every year. So, the 3rd year we decided to purchase insurance, which cost 125 dollars, up front for next year to cover the repairs needed. This year when we used our insurance that we paid for last year. All they did was re-align some minor parts and were able to return our instrument to us within a day. So, this feels like if you purchase the insurance ahead of time, they will do the minimum work on your instrument but if you have an open check book, they will sock it to you. Beware of Marshall Music. I won't ever go back, and I plan on telling everyone about my experience with their company

We searched around for all possible solutions and several companies turned down our hopes for restoration of the instrument. I can't express my gratitude to Terry, who did an outstanding job to restore our piano and be able to tune it to concert pitch. I never hoped for such a results. He is our piano tuner from now on. To do a full rebuild on my tenor he wanted $1k, with $500 up front for supplies (pads, resos,…read moreetc.). After he strung me along for ten months I finally picked the horn up in pieces, the only thing he'd done was straighten the body tube and yank out all of the pads from the keys. He refused to refund any of the deposit, even though he hadn't even ordered any of the pads - claimed to have done half the work. He had previously quoted $140 to straighten the tube, which would require him to refit all of the keys and give it back assembled and in working order. My new tech (who didn't ask for an up front deposit) needed to do a bunch of key fitting before he could put it back together, the thing was a mess. Half the work done, my ass. Eventually he offered to give me $200 back but it's been weeks and he's just making excuses. Yeah, I know that I should have pulled the plug months sooner before he'd done anything at all to it, but I'd always liked the guy and didn't think that he'd backstab someone who'd always been a good customer and had recommended him so glowingly to everyone who asked. I wonder who else he's ripped off; I doubt I'm the only one, and the place looks like he's having serious cash flow issues. Stay away.
