My family has been going to Jonathan's pharmacy for years. We've never had issues until he retired and the business was put under new ownership. Before the new ownership, it was an intimate experience. The pharmacists knew everyone who walked in that door. They made sure we were satisfied with our medications. They always knew all of our prescriptions. They would call or text when prescriptions were ready for pickup, they always had prescriptions on file; there was NEVER a time they didn't have a prescription. Now, it's unorganized. The pharmacists never call or text when a prescription is ready. Sometimes you call and ask if prescriptions are ready and they ask you "which ones?". Shouldn't they know what we need? We are regulars. It's the same ones all the time. We are so disappointed in the service and the dynamic of Jonathan's. They play trashy music, which isn't appealing. The pharmacists don't greet when we come in. No smiles. If Jonathan knew about how it's ran today he would be SO disappointed. I wish he never retired. He knows how to run a business. Whoever this new guy is, sucks! (If you're reading this, look in the mirror. DO BETTER!) read more

Updates included- Horrible customer service! Had my prescription sent here and because it's a controlled prescription and it's my only prescription and they refused to fill it. But not only did they refuse to fill it, they did not inform me that they were refusing to fill it. (Doctor sent it over a MONTH earlier) It took me calling on the day of pick up (Friday) to find this out and then I had to scramble to try to get it changed to a different pharmacy to get it filled and so I went two days without my medication. *(Actually 3 days since the doctor was already gone Friday and couldn't send to new pharmacy until Monday, new pharmacy had to order it Monday and didn't get it until Tuesday) Apparently, if you only take one medication that's not enough business for them and they don't want our business, so now I have to go all the way to Victorville just to fill my prescription. Thanks for supporting your towns residents, Jonathans. I guess you only want unhealthy people with multiple prescriptions to make you the most money coming into your store so -duly noted. ***And to your response to this review- After the fact caring because someone writes a negative review for everyone to see dosent make it right. Do better to begin with and treat people how you would want to be treated instead of disregarding them on the phone and knowingly leaving them in a bad situation without medication right before the weekend. I'm hearing you are getting known for this kind of treatment so I won't bother calling you, you already know what's wrong here. I just had my first prescription filled here for a Worker Comp issue. I wish I had researched them earlier as I was so satisfied with their willingness to help (dealing with SB County/WC insurance has some challenges). The store is small and reminds me of the old time locally owned family pharmacy. While I never had an issue with CVS/Target pharmacy, I would rather give a local business my business. I already have a regular pharmacy I go to down the hill, but came here for an antibiotic after getting bad food poisoning, thanks to fast food. Anyways, I didn't know there was a local pharmacy in the area. After wasting 20 minutes at Walgreens, who lost my prescription, I came here (after wasting another 15 minutes having the doctor rewrite it out). The staff was super friendly, the place was clean, with lots of woodgrain finishes on the shelves, the floor, etc. I felt very comfortable here, and if I didn't already have a regular establishment I'm loyal to (which is also independently owned), I would come here. It still never ceases to amaze me how well this pharmacy takes care of me and my family. My son enjoys the specialty sodas and the unique selection of health foods. This is the first "mom and pop" style pharmacy I have used since moving to CA. I will say, it is extremely neat and clean and the staff very friendly. My medication was dispensed very quickly and I was on my way! My experience here was much better than those I have had with the "superstore" pharmacies surrounding it!
