We are right around the corner from Jonathan's, so we were hoping this could potentially be our local watering hole. Unfortunately, we will have to keep searching. The service was a disaster. We sat outside on the back patio, and waited so long for someone to come take our drink order that we thought maybe there wasn't service out here (there were many other guests at tables on the back porch) and we had to order inside. Just as I was getting up to go in and see if I needed to order from the bar a server came out... andddd went right back inside without acknowledging us. I did end up going inside to order after we waited for close to twenty minutes, and right on the brink of my boyfriend giving up on the place all together. I ordered from the bartender, and when she asked if I was sitting outside she said, "I'm very sorry, I will have her bring these out to you right away". K, cool, and our server did finally bring our drinks right away. We ordered our food. Boyfriend got the bison burger which was just okay, and fries which were gross. They tasted like old fries that had been reheated in the microwave. I got the Jamaican Jerk pizza was pretty good. The chicken was very dry, but we liked the flavor. But once again, no visit from our server. We were both out of beer (and we ordered two each! So it had been awhile since they checked on us!), and needed BBQ sauce. Once again, I went inside to order from the bartender. She asked me to point out which person had been "serving" us, and she went to have her bring us beer and BBQ sauce. The rest of our time there our server was consistently checking on us. Thank goodness for the bartender, but we will not be going back. I will give them this. Their playlist was AWESOME! read more

The food and drink specials are good here, though I miss the old trivia group. My friends and I would come once a week for trivia, which would last from 7-9PM. The new trivia group they have is fine, but it's an hour shorter. 7-8PM. Many of us were coming from Rutherford and Williamson county, and it's not really worth the trip for only an hour trivia game. read more

Stopped by Jonathan's for pizzas, beer & cocktails today. Service was slow both to be greeted and to place order - fir the amount of customers. Ordered an Old Fashion, disappointed with a poor attempt and was informed by the bartender that she does not have the proper ingredients to make an Old Fashion. I inquired why do you offer the drink ? She replied, I'm not sure. Ordered another drink, also terrible. I then asked for the Mgr just to inquire why the drinks don't equal up ... he was pretty arrogant and said he can not remove alcohol from the bill. I did not ask him to do so, just wanted to let him know why I would never return & go to The Goat in the future. My wife and I love some of the offerings from Jonathan's. We frequent this place whenever we are in town, and love the Asian Zing boneless wings! This place is a decent size (middle of the road), but they still have lots of TVs if you're here for the sports! The service is ok, too. Might be a tad slow, but when they are busy, it's to be expected. We've had better and faster service from the other locations of theirs (Franklin and Green Hills), but overall I suppose you can only complain so much... it's your average sports bar/fare. read more

Truly could not believe the experience we had. We went there at 11:15am on Sunday to watch some football.. We were the 2nd ones there, and we were wearing our teams jerseys. Clearly, we were there to watch the game. We ordered some drinks, had some food, and then the games were about to come on. We realized that our game was not going to be aired on the TV's in front of us. They do have little helmets on each TV to show you which games are playing, but not on the ones at the bar... Which is where we were seated. We asked if they can change the game, the bartender kind of gave us a heads up that it most likely won't happen and that it's out of his control. At this point the bar was packed up, and it was very clear that everyone was watching just one game, and with the 6 tv's they could have put our game on. NOT ONE PERSON was looking at any other game than the Patriots, so the manager could have completely changed the TV to accommodate their patrons. After trying to speak to him he avoided us like the plague. Even greeted the people next to us, and could have easily had gotten them their drinks, but just passed it on to the bartender. I've worked in customer service, as well as in the industry, and I couldn't imagine working for this guy. Complete jerk. TO THE OWNER: your manager is your teams biggest leader, and the guy you hired is a joke, we paid our bill and walked out, and won't be back til' we hear that he is no longer part of the team. read more

This place rocks! It's my local (well I just moved here from San Francisco) there's not much in Mount Juliet that's not a chain, so when I found this place I was stoked. The food is fresh and they have a great gluten free pizza, very hard to find. Jason and Jenn in the bar always takes care of me. And really the whole bar staff is great. Coming from California I'm a tequila snob and they ordered my favorite tequila Don Julio on the spot for me, the owner happened to be there and he was 100% on it to make me happy, he even makes it a point to sit at the bar to chat with patrons to hear their opinions and concerns, I appreciate the hands on approach. *** bonus! Most people will notice I rarely write Short reviews, but there really isn't much I can say for this place. Service is trash, the food tastes bland, and they charge WAY too much for what you are getting. I do not understand how this place has stayed open for so long. It's really not worth Anyone's time, there are much better places nearby, such as Cheddar's, or Long Horn. They may be same ol' same ol', but Johnathan's just is not a place worth breaking from the norm to try. read more

This place is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Mount Juliet. It's literally walking distance from my house. The happy hour is the bomb!!! 2 for 1 top shelf drinks and half off certain appetizers. The staff is very friendly and if you go often (like myself) they know you by name. My favorite dishes #1- Red Pepper Chicken with wild rice. I usually get it with Brussels sprouts (which are to die for) #2- Pizzas are very good (2 for 1 on Tuesdays) and #3- Chicken nachos- yum! read more

I like coming to Jonathan's because it's close and a great place to watch the game and the food is decent, and fairly consistent. My go to dishes are the Signature Salad, the Carson Egg Rolls and I really like their new Roasted Red Pepper Pasta. Also hey have good Happy Hours and 2-for-1 specials on a regular basis. I'd give more stars but I have a few bits of feedback: a) the staff needs to remember to bring utensils when they bring the food, and b) usually at the end of the meal, the service is slow and takes a while to get the check. Overall...staff needs to be a little more attentive with customer service. read more

Horrible service start to finish. First, the disorganized hostess seated us in a private party room full of people celebrating an event which was super awkward for everyone. Then we were reseated next to a screaming child who literally did not stop screaming. We ordered and received a salad and no silverware. It took over 5 minutes to get silverware and then when the actual food came, it was not very good. I have been to Jonathan's in Cool Springs many times and always had a good experience. This was a really bad experience from start to finish and we will definitely not return. I don't think there was a responsible adult in the building. Went to Jonathan's Grill in Mount Juliet Tennessee for the first time. It wasn't quite what I expected. We have a really long wait for food to come out. When our food came out we had no silverware, so our waitress went to another table that had a huge party and grabbed some on wrapped silverware and brought them to our table. Of coarse we refuse that and asked for different silverware. The only saving grace for three stars on this is when the food came out it was really good. If I have a choice I probably would not go back. read more

Not a good lunch place? I took my daughter to lunch today at Jonathan's Grille in Mount Juliet. We arrived a couple of minutes past Noon. The sign said seat yourselves, so we did. A friendly server was right there to take our drink orders and returned pretty quickly with a water and tea, as ordered. We needed a moment to view the menu but ordered the next time she came around (before or right at 12:15), which included a side salad and order of brussels sprouts and a cobb salad. At 12:48 I decided I should let the server know the food should either be canceled or boxed and we needed the check so we could leave and allow my daughter get back to work on time. At 12:54 the manager brought the bag with our boxed food and the check to sign - letting us know she was sorry and that "part of the order had fallen behind a party". She had taken the side salad and brussels off the check and hoped we would come back again. If we did, she would be happy to do more for us. While I prefer a good experience over a comped meal any time, I appreciated her efforts. We decided to see what was in store with the bag of food, which I gave to my daughter since she was starving and had to be back at work. A couple of minutes after I dropped her off, she sent me a picture of the fully charred (black) brussels sprouts. She said the salads looked awesome though. I don't know if I would try this again. It seems like something is missing in organization and delivery of the food service. And I would not have posted a bad review except that I don't think we should have even been given burned food. Please don't waste your time here. Most of the servers are nice, but the problem is that you are getting low 2 star quality food and drinks at a bar and grill that charges you prices that you would find at a 5 star steakhouse. Save your money, only go during happy hour or not at all, unless you like throwing your money away for food you could get at McDonald's or little ceasars. read more

Stood by door longer then needed before non mask wearing waitress came to us, we only saw two waitresses wearing masks, one being ours. Our table was sticky and dirty, the floor was filthy. Our waitress was very rushed and working most tables while other took their time, BTW it wasn't busy and our waitress could have been given help but no one seemed to care. We've gotten take out through the pandemic and notice that the quality went down as well. We have been customers in the past but after today we're done. Went for my first time tonight and felt the dining area(s) were really spacious and seating was very comfortable. I ordered Candace's Cobb Salad and rate it 3-stars. The bacon didn't taste or look like bacon. It seemed to be a very crunchy / hard substitute for bacon. The bleu cheese crumbles were not edible. Service: great! Food: average at best. One star service.... Couldn't get past the front door. The girl at the front was rude and dismissive. I simply asked for a booth because I have a bit of anxiety. She said they didn't have a booth, but looked down at her seating chart and almost instantly picked up menus and started walking. I assumed she had found a booth and was taking us to it. Instead she brought us straight to the table in the middle of the room. So I told her, I'm sorry hon, but there's no way that I can't sit in the middle of the room. She said yes, but didn't seem in no hurry to accommodate us. So we left and went to Olive Garden. I'm sure that maybe the food is ok, but when you can't get past the front door because of the service...I guess we'll never know because we won't be going back. Great pub atmosphere with a broad bar menu offering sandwiches, entrees, traditional offerings, and some really good pizzas and flatbreads. I like their take on the fried pickle, something of which, I am a connoisseur. Happy hour brings a double fisted pint of all manner of beers, probably dozens but who's counting, that was college. My only gripes are it can get very loud, especially on game days and the parking can become scarce. I recommend you give them a try. read more

Great place to eat, food always great, the only thing that sucks is always the service every time I go. No matter if it's in afternoon, rush hour or a quiet non busy day service is a joke. No matter what server each day it's always common thing. They will get our drinks and random person for our food, and then when you need the waiter for sauce or a refill the waiter is no where to be found. You can never get refills no matter what day and it takes even longer for check too. It's understandable if it's busy but most days it's not and you can see the servers just chitchat away or ok their phones or just chatting. Just go back to the table and check on the food if it's ok because my friend had a problem with their food but no lady to be found. And when it's time to go and food was finish now the waiter comes. Just sad when this place always have bad service every time and can't check up on their own tables or make sure refills are needed. Our association planned with the manager of this Jonathan's Grille location for three (3) months, since February, to hold an appreciation dinner for fifty (50) of our members there on May 1st, while we were in Mt. Juliet for our quarterly meeting. The manager at Jonathan's Grille in Mt. Juliet has forwarded our association's president a limited menu days earlier from which our members could order. Our president called the manager at 1:00pm to confirm that our party would still be fifty (50) guests and that the restaurant would be ready for us at 6:00pm still, as originally planned. Our president was assured by the manager that everything was good to go for our party of fifty (50) at 6:00pm. When we arrived, we had two adjoining sections prepared for us that held about 25 guests each and one waitress assigned per section. The waitress in our section took our drink orders and had them filled relatively quickly. A little while later, she came back around and got our appetizer orders. Those took a little while to fill for us. I had the Margherita Flatbread and it tasted good. After all of us had been finished with our appetizers for a while and we had not placed our orders for our entrées, I found our waitress and asked if we could go ahead and order. She took our salad and entrée orders. It took a while to fill those. I had ordered the house salad with ranch dressing and the sirloin steak cooked medium with a loaded baked potato. It took a long time for our entrées to arrive at the table. My salad arrived before my entrée and tasted fine. My steak came quite a while later and ended up being a skirt steak, like used in fajitas, not the sirloin. It was cooked well done. Needless to say, well done skirt steak is tough and I had a difficult time cutting it with my knife. The steak was hardly even seasoned. My loaded baked potato was good though. I ended up eating the loaded baked potato and leaving over half of my steak uneaten. It was just too tough and did not taste very good. My friends sitting next to me had also ordered the sirloin steak. Theirs looked to actually be sirloins and were cooked more closely to how they had ordered them as far as medium, medium well, and well-done. However, they indicated that there steaks were not seasoned very well either and were lacking in taste. I noticed that they left half or better of their steaks uneaten too. I kept noticing that most of our other members in the adjoining section had not even received their entrées, while our section was already done eating for the evening, after we were about 2 1/2 hours into our evening by this point. I walked over and talked to some of our members in the adjoining section to find out that they had just taken their orders moments before and had informed them that they were out of several items on the limited-menu we had been given from which to order and they were trying to figure out some substitutions that might be made. It ended up taking so long that several of our members left without ever being able to receive their entrée that evening and returned to our hotel. What members did eat were receiving their salads with their entrée at the same time. Several of our members ended up having to eat with plastic forks, usually used for carryout orders, because the restaurant had run out of clean silverware at that point. At one point, I had noticed the young waitress in the adjoining section almost on the verge of tears. Our association's president advised the assistant manager that was on duty that evening that something was going to have to be done and were have no intention of paying the agreed upon price, after the fiasco of a meal we had just encountered. The assistant manager on duty (Meredith) was quite accommodating and called the owner of the restaurant. The assistant manager and owner were able to work out a mutual agreement with us to compensate for the dining experience we had that evening. As the association's treasurer, I settled the bill with the assistant manager and assured the two young waitresses that we appreciated their service and do not view any of the evening's turn of events as their fault. The young waitress from the section that had been adjoining mine was almost on the verge of tears again and started to apologize and I again reassured her that we appreciated their service and hoped that our tip was indicative of our appreciation for how they had handled themselves in such an adverse situation. The assistant manager (Meredith) that was actually on duty, apologized profusely for our experience that evening. I assured her that we are not upset with her, because we had made our arrangements with the actual 'manager' of the restaurant. That conversation is when I learned that the staff working that evening had not even been made aware of our group coming, until about 1 1/2 to 2 hours prior to our event. read more

New to the area, and my fiancé and I wanted to try out some of our bar options, we love a good craft brew. I was excited to see that they had couple of stouts and porters on the menu. Yay! However they were out. That's all good. I manage a bar myself and know how it is sometimes, I'll settle for a Yuengling and be completely content. There were just a couple of things that were really off putting about our experience here. First off, if the bartender had of been my employee, I would be very upset, she didn't ID either of us, me being in my early 20s and my fiancé being 27. All I could think was, do you not know how much trouble you could get in?! Also, when we were sipping our beers, and finishing our desert, the bartender asked if we wanted anything else, we said that we were ok for now, she printed off our ticked, and slammed it down on the bar. This place has great food but the worst service in Mount Juliet. I haven't ate inside for almost a year now because every time I go to the bar I get stared at and it takes forever to get service. When I pay cash they always assume that the change is theirs even when it's $20 and you'll never see them again. I've never gotten a drink with fruit in it. I know that's minuscule but if I'm paying $6-$8 for a drink I want my damn cherry and orange slice. The servers are so uppity it's insane. read more
