Back last fall, I pulled off the rare feat of poking my eye while I was sleeping. I have no idea…read morehow I did this, but I poked it so bad that I scratched my cornea. Have you ever scratched your cornea? I don't recommend it - the pain was awful. Anyway, after a trip to urgent care and a round of antibiotics (and a lot of tearing), I thought it was a good idea to follow up with an ophthalmologist - both to get my eye checked out by a specialist but also because I had never been to one before. My parents had recently been to Dr. Terraciano and had great things to say, so I figured it was meant to be and booked an appointment. This office is a family-run private practice; it was originally founded by Pasquale Terraciano and is now run by his son Anthony. In today's age, I'm used to outpatient doctor offices being affiliated with major hospital systems, so I was really surprised to see this office still standing on its own. That doesn't mean that it's behind the times - the office uses cutting edge technology and has a number of options to treat a variety of eye conditions. After being worked up, I met Dr. Terraciano and Dr. Ross. Both were very kind, thorough, and explained things that were easy for me to understand. I was ultimately diagnosed with an eye condition and they did a great job providing me with options that I could work with to treat it. Since my initial visit, I returned for a follow-up and had a similar positive experience. Everyone I interacted with in the office was friendly, and overall I would definitely recommend Dr. Terraciano if you're looking for an ophthalmologist.

So many pros to this location but the wait time is a huge con. This is my 3rd time here with my mom…read moreand i have been here 2 times for myself. I recommend not making an appt for a Monday as the wait times on the 2 Monday appointments were ridiculous. Also, try to make an appt on days you don't have plans afterwards. Yesterday, July 7 was a clear example of that. My mom had an appt for 12:15pm. We arrived at 12:05pm and checked in and paid the copay. We sat down and it wasn't crowded at that point maybe 8-10 people seated. We got up to drink some water as they provide with small cups. We waited until 1:15pm and at this point i was seeing it was getting crowded and everyone was being called except us. I checked in to see how long it will take or how many people were in front of us and the lady was nice but did tell me they had just started calling the 11am appts at 1:15pm they were completely booked and understaffed. They finally called my mom at 2:20pm and did the eye exam. We were seated again and called at 245pm to the second room where they take photos of the eye. Then we went back out to the waiting room and were called in at 3:05pm to see the provider. Dr Damon Pettinelli is so nice and friendly. Love his bedside manner and how he explained things to my mother and I. He was very thorough and the staff here were all very nice to my mom. We left at 3:17pm. I love the service of this facility. The staff is nice and thorough. The provider is great. The wait time is the biggest issue, if they work on that, especially on Mondays-they would be golden.

Am happy to say that I found a great ophthalmologist to check my eye health. Dr. Ragusa was professional, efficient and friendly. Everyone on his office team was. I wish I had written down names. There is a young man in the reception area that went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed. When I walked in, I'd asked him for a note for work, and when I walked out, he had everything ready for me. The tech who took the pictures of my eye was funny and made the process quick and painless. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, but it did not feel rushed. Dr. Ragusa reviewed the results of my eye exam and immediately gave me feedback. For example, one thing I should do is use eye drops more frequently as my eyes are dry. I would wholeheartedly recommend this ophthalmologist. The whole staff made my visit an enjoyable experience. I'm looking forward to making my visit a yearly experience. Hope this review is helpful. The whole process took about an hour because they needed to dilate my eyes.
