Simply shocked by the harsh reviews about this office!!! seriously you guys???? Im anal retentive about places and have to say that I had no hopes and low expectations after reading all the reviews when going into my first appt. And to be brutally honest, these negative reviews cant be farther from the truth!!! disclaimer: i dont know anyone at this office, Im not an employee, and no one has paid me to write this! yes, it is a busy office, but its like a well oiled machine! i signed in, introduced myself , given I WAS RUDE when I came in becuase i was on my cell phone taking a call. They were professional about it, didnt say anything and I apologized and within 5 min of sitting down I saw my doctor. Dr. Muirhead, the dermatologist. He was pleasant, attentive, on point when I introduced myself as a fellow healthcare collegue. I had a female nurse practitioner in the room with him which was awsome so their is no awkwardness, she was making notes on her iPad as he was telling her his observations. I asked for a cover and although he was intrurrupted a few times during the complete body examination . I do have to say it was the pathologist with an urgent diagnosis, so he got a pass.. Everything went well, he answered my questions competently and I was blown away. i go in for my biopsy in a month, as i left i was sent to the front desk where i put in my appointment for follow up and I actually mentioned how surprised I was at my experienced based on what I was expecting prior from the hideous reviews. they smiled, appreciated my compliments to everyone of them and i thought i would put in a REAL REVIEW based on my experience, However, while I was waiting I did observe a woman trying to be seen as a walk in and was waiting for someone to cancel. having a full house with a packed schedule for these doctors , I cant imagine waiting there hoping a spot opens up. i suggest making an appointment and sticking to it. i could sense this lady cursing as I was walking through the doors after waiting 5 min to be seen , while waiting for someone to cancel ., and it sure wasnt going to be me! Lol.. so fellow Yelpers! The moral of my story is dont always judge a book by its reviews, go in with caution, but have an open mind, you might be just positively surprised! go job guys, and i promise not to be rude by being on the cell phone, my bad! read more

After removing cancer on my face bridge of nose I had eyelid ptosis. I had seek out plastic surgeon which did not fix it. I was put in a back room with coats and storage items at Barons shared office space I got feeling he had no idea where to cut. I should. Have not allowed him to work on me. Disaster. Im deformed. He sent me to an ear nose throat Dr to fix it but he was going to do a graft which would look bad so I kept looking for surgeon to fix it. That Dr wrote. Me a letter that if I didnt fix it correctly it would effect my eye It did just that. All this happened around 2008- Malpractice read more

Staff would not book my appointment until they received my referral. Mind you I have a point of service insurance plan. Therefore, I can use my PPO side if I wanted to. I called 4 different times and was on hold for 10-15min each time. I emailed my referral and faxed it over to the office. Staff is completely unprofessional, no phone etiquette, and incompetent. I have had many patients that have had issues with their staff and now I am a proof of why doctors I work with will NOT refer to this office. As a healthcare professional myself I would never do this to my patients. I have never met these specialist and I'm sure THEY are wonderful, however with this staffing they provide, I tend to think otherwise and it paints a picture of the service given. Therefore, I refuse to keep my scheduled appointment!!! read more

He's wonderful! Answers all my questions and is very warm and helpful. I'd recommend Dr. Baron to everyone.

I don't often write reviews but I was really sorry to see some of these negative reviews here so I thought I'd add my positive experience during my several appts with Dr Baron. Most of the negative reviews are not a reflection of Dr Baron but of the office and insurance procedures so I wouldn't base my decision to see the doctor on that. I really, really like Dr Baron. He is kind, thorough, informative and accommodating. I'm a pretty tough patient as I ask a million questions and expect a lot from my doctors. Dr Baron is well-informed and answers all of my questions knowledgeably and without hesitation or judgement or making me feel like I'm taking too much time. I never feel rushed. He's really comfortable and pleasant to be with and I trust his experience and judgement. I've been to so many dermatologists over my many years and I have to say, I recommend him highly. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received at this dermatology office! I was a little weary as I entered because it's not your typical OC fancy typical doctors office type of building. But if you can get past the aesthetic of the older building, you'll be glad you did that staff was efficient and friendly, called me back at my appt time and I saw the doctor within 10 minutes of being put in the room! Dr. Baron was super friendly, listened to each and every one of my skin concerns, offered good treatment options and called a prescription in for me to pick up! Jocelyn and Alma were very friendly and efficient! I'll def come back for follow up appointments as needed! read more

Does not deserve even 1 star. First time going to this office. Wow, crazy amount of stuff you have to agree to and sign. If your late $25, if you don't call $, hell if you need a skin check I learned you need a special visit and authorization for that. I was seen within 15-20 of my appt. Keep in mind I was forwarded to bring filled out paperwork like 2 times. I was brought in by one med assist to ask why I was here when she had the referral. I asked about the skin checking and then she said that was another referral. Dr. Barron comes in with another IPAD asst. She did nothing but take notes. It was awkward having a note taker in there. I explained everything to Dr Baron about what was going on. Each thing he glanced over me and would not touch me. I asked for a quick look at my back he literally used his forefinger to barely lift my shirt and took 10 second look. Still wouldn't touch me. What is going on with the medical field? Anyway, I get a prescription. I'm assured it will be electronically sent. A month later nothing. I called the office left a message that was never answered. I called again today and the woman who is responsible had to be paged. No one picks up the phone or calls you back. She finally, picks up and says she is sending the prescription, but not before giving me the third degree. Did I call? Did I call the Pharm? Did they call you? On and on. What happened to customer service? Can out just take care of it now and have a little humility, maybe empathy. Geez. Never going to this dr or office again. Goodluck! read more

Dr. Barron is awesome. I have been struggling to get the insurance to pay for my medication and they would not since its for a cosmetic skin condition. Dr. Barron and his staff assured me that they can manipulate the billings and sure enough, the insurance is paying for my very expensive medication. thank you Dr. Barron and staff, he even gave me a note to take off work :). read more

Dr Baron has been my dermatologist for several years. I'm very satisfied with his care. He's polite, respectful, and caring. He has a conservative approach yet easily spots potential problems on my face and arms. I'm grateful I found him; I've had less Mohs procedures, yet kept the skin cancers away in a preventative manner with his help. read more

Dr. Baron, MD was recommended to me by two trusted sources. I visited his office during the height of COVID. I was very impressed by the Doctor, his care and the results of his treatment. read more

Unfortunately I was never able to book an appointment with Dr. Baron because the receptionists Monse, Michelle and others were never accommodating with my insurance. As I assured them my HMO plan did not need a referral from my primary. I spent 1 hour and half to call my insurance and their office to ensure that I was able to receive care based with my plan. No one took the necessary steps to call my insurance or advocate for my care. I believe this is call not just poor customer service but poor patient care. If the necessary steps were not taken to verify insurance benefits for a patient, one can only imagine the kind of care given if a patient has something more serious disease that need immediate attention. I still have not received a call back for a schedule appointment with Dr. Baron with approved insurance but I wouldn't expect anything more. Good luck with your patient care here. read more

He saved my husband from a dangerous skin infections that other doctors missed. He is the best

the Dr. is nice and informative. The office staff... terrible. I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma and informed about it by a nurse Rebecca. She just blurred it out and asked me when do I want to have the surgery. When I asked to see the doctor she was not happy about it, told me that I was upsetting her and hang up on me. I WAS UPSETTING HER!!!! I had to talk to her again recently and she was supposed to ask the dr. a question for me but have not heard from her in last 2 days. Gee what a surprise.. She is probably upset again.... If my insurance gave me a choice I would be changing doctors in a New York minute. I'm really disappointed in this office. read more

I have been going to Dr Baron for nearly 10 years. I have another apt coming up and decided to read his Yelp reviews. Hard to believe any of his reviews are less than stellar. Reading through them it actually seemed their issue was with either the staff or the fact that he is busy. Hello, professionals that are busy are busy because they are GOOD. He removed a malignant melanoma on one occasion and a basal cell. Basically, my experience is very similar to Brian H. read more

Dr. Baron, saved my life. Let's be clear here, no Doctors office is perfect. Never in 10 years of seeing Dr. Baron or his staff have I been treated poorly. I am a redhead, can't get any worse that that to get Melanoma. I have had over 12 basil cell carcinomas removed, then had the smallest mole removed that turned out to be Melanoma stage II. Dr. Baron, called me, showed true care and immediately got me an appointment with one of the best Oncologists at St. Joseph. He is hyper sensitive to my worries and making sure no mole is missed for my regular 6 month visits. read more

After 25 years of suffering from Psoriasis on my scalp ears and other parts of my body, Dr. Baron cured me with a stroke of his pen. After 2 weeks I am almost completely Psoriasis free and my quality of life is DRAMATICALLY improved as I don't spend half my day scratching myself! You are awesome!!! And I am very happy! read more

Dr. Baron shares the clinic with other dermatologist and from what I can see, they run this clinic like a used car dealership. It was a chaotic environment. SELL, SELL, SELL! Nurses were taking over dermatologist's role & diagnosing themselves especially if you're a minority who don't speak English well cause their bottom line is to make the extra money & not to care for their patient's needs. It was worst experience I've ever encountered. There has to be a better dermatologist than this cause we never saw the doctor on our appointment date but instead was met by his registered nurse who diagnosed and prescribed a total over-kill regiment for our infant.. read more

The after hours answering service personal are so rude and unprofessional! I called right now 4:45pm and I didn't know the office closed at 4pm. Rude! read more

I've been going to Dr. Baron's office for around 9 years now. I have a history of melanoma and basal cell carcinoma, so I'm there frequently and have plenty of skin issues that require attention. I've been nothing but pleased with the treatment I've received and with Dr. Baron. Additionally, when my mother was in town visiting, we noticed that she had a spot that I knew had to be melanoma. Despite the fact that she was not an existing patient, and has only Medicare, he saw her immediately for a biopsy. Two days later, with the diagnosis confirmed, he performed surgery during his lunch break. I've had an excellent experience and received wonderful treatment from Dr. Baron, Dr. Muirhead and the others at this practice read more

I was referred to Dr. Baron for a removal/surgery from my doctor. I found the office staff to be friendly and professional. When I saw Dr. Baron he clearly explained the procedure, gave me expectations on recovery, prescriptions, and follow up. The bedside manner was very good, comforting and there have been no issues from the procedure. Everything that was explained is what transpired. very happy with this office. read more

Best dr ever. He fixed my sons hair issue when no one else could. I recommend this dr to all my friends and patients at work as well.

I came into the office after waiting for a month for my appointment time to arrive. I was never sent any paper work to fill out and bring in with me. I basically googled the doctor to find the office address. The day of my appointment I follow that address and keep calling the office to see what they can do to help me because I can't seem to find the office. Long story short the girl that picked up the phone hung up me saying she is the only one and she can't keep on answering my call because there is other phone calls! I said okay that's not a problem I will figure it out. So I pulled to the side of the road and I got on the yelp page to see if the addresses match, the address on yelp was the right one whereas what's on google is wrong! So I follow this address and find the office and obviously I arrive there late. The staff was HORRIBLE! Two of them that I was trying to talk to kept saying sit we will call you and I did that and I was told I am late and I need to reschedule. As explain to her the whole situation she is doing something else and not even looking at me! Then she goes yah talk to our supervisor about that. Also, you can't wait in here for a spot to open! I left with a new appointment for the following week with Dr. Barron, I come in and I basically hear the same woman that told me last week I can't wait telling someone sh obviously knew because she was telling him wait 10 mins the doctor he wanted to see has a open spot available. I find it very unfair and unprofessional! read more
