We didn't notice the free intro class they have with Yelp, but we signed up for a session on ClassPass. This review is from the perspective of someone who's done light circuit-training. It was more difficult than I was used to, but not unbearably so! When I arrived, I was greeted by Craig, who warmly gave me a quick tour around the studio. The space itself is bright and clean, with a modern flair. There's a warm-up area up front, and then a darker room where the circuit-training happens. In the back, there are lockers and bathrooms. We took a 45-minute FIT class with Tiffany on a Tuesday morning. There were only 2 others in the class. The class consisted of a warm-up followed by 3 stations with 3 activities each that we looped through 3 times each. After circuit-training, we concluded with an ab workout on the mats, which was quite strenuous too (I had been expecting to just end with stretches). I also really appreciated how well-ventilated the room was - when we were wrapping up, there was extra air cooling the room, which made it very refreshing. Overall, the workout was well-organized and sufficiently challenging! Tiffany was upbeat, engaging, and full of positive energy, and she gave me and my friend guidance along the way with positioning and movements. She remembered our names and encouraged us every step along the way! We really enjoyed our WOLA experience, and we appreciate how helpful and motivational Tiffany was! As we left, they even gave my friend a balloon for her birthday :)

From HIIT to boxing they have it all and most importantly all of their programs are safe, fun, and exciting. The program changes every day so you never get bored. I love that they offer family classes as well, creating an experience the whole family can enjoy. I love that as company they take pride in making their members feel apart of the WO*LA family. Bringing all ages of LA community together through fitness and wellness is their mission. I've taken many classes and all the instructors are amazing. They fix your form, cheer you on, and will push you to keep going even when you think you can't. All of the programs are suitable for all levels. So if you are looking for a fun place to workout, I would highly recommend trying a class at WO*LA. The owners Craig and Leonard are kind, welcoming, and love being active in their community. From hosting charity classes, birthday parties, and also youth fitness camps the owners are two truly inspiring individuals. I admire how hands on they are with the growth of their business. WO*LA isn't just a fitness studio, it's the most welcoming and inclusive fitness community in Los Angeles.

Easton's owner Toby and his passionate staff have facilitated a respectful and supportive community over a long period of time where all bodies are welcome, member input is prioritized, and most importantly, re-racking your weights and putting shit back where you found it is the norm! Working out at Easton feels like being part of a long tradition in Los Angeles. Even though the equipment isn't as new or exciting as other places and "it doesn't have air conditioning!" as everyone LOVES to say, nothing beats working out within Easton's beautiful brick walls, amongst vintage windows that catch a refreshing cross-breeze and dumbbells that look like they were carried by strong men in the 1940's. Easton rarely gets frustratingly crowded, and its members overall are simply RESPECTFUL, relaxed, authentic, and make this the type of business you can only find in Los Angeles. I love Easton gym!

The class is a combination of cardio (assault bikes, rowers, tru form treadmills) and strength exercises (TRX, dumbbells, TRX, body weight). If you like a fast paced workout that will always leave you drenched with sweat, you'll love the BX classes! However, I was inspired to write this review as a word of caution. This class is NOT for beginners! Of course everyone can go at their own speed, use light weights, etc.... but if you don't have at least basic knowledge of common movements and some prior cardio experience, this is going to be too much to just waltz into. I have personally witnessed someone inexperienced with this style of class come in for their first visit and have to leave halfway through the class because you really can't just jump right into something of this level. But if you walk in prepared and you know what you're getting into, you'll really enjoy yourself!

My form is just as good if not better than it was during my peak CrossFit days. Working on strength and endurance still but having great time doing it. Highly recommend.
