The left side where there are supposed to be donuts, basically empty except "day olds". This was at 8:45am on a tuesday

We saw this spot while in the area for our 25th anniversary. Checked online and saw pretty decent reviews so we stopped in. Their only options for soda was canned. We ordered the French toast breakfast, menu said $6.59. We were asked how we wanted our eggs cooked, scrambled. While we waited 45 mins for food at 8:45am on Tuesday, with almost no one around... we looked at the would be donut case. It was basically empty except "day olds" bags for $6. We got handed our plates, the eggs were small portions but cooked well. The bacon was almost blackened/burned. We were willing to deal since it was so cheap, until we flipped the bill that was set down when our plates were. "Excuse me ma'am, our bill is $22.37?" "Yep, what's the issue?" "Our food should have been around $15ish" "Yea they charge an egg surcharge, about fifty cent or so" "umm ok, that's still not $5" "oh they charge for eggs in the French toast too" "Why isn't that on the menu?" "Don't need to,It's over there on a sign" *points to the far right side of the diner with a scribbled cardboard piece, among other crap everywhere* "Would have been nice to see that on the menu or be told about it." "Well, don't know what to tell yall" *walks away mumbling under her breath* We understand that the smaller companies had to add charges for stuff esp during Covid and supply issues, but it should be on the menu or posted NOTICEABLY. Also, charging per egg even when used in other items seems excessive. If we had known, we could have picked something else to eat. Once we asked questions, we were completely ignored and another waitress came by asking "yall done yet?" "Ready to pay yet?" This is why small diners are dying. Shady pricing, lack of quality and crap attitudes. We could have went across the street, or down the block to Golden Corral, but we try to support smaller business. Not this one. This is scammy at best. The ONLY thing good was the French toast!

Yummy better than those other chain brands. Go to spot when we are in town. Got in and out fast services like always never a wait.

This is a great place for donuts, it also has diner food with limited seating inside. The fresh donuts are delicious and are made each morning, so if you have a favorite, be sure to get there early on the weekends (especially Sunday mornings) or they will be picked over. If you get a dozen doughnuts, they do have a punch card.

This is a very cute local diner. They have the old diner look with a bar top in the center and booths around the windows. The breakfast menu is great with eggs to veggie omelettes to sausage gravy, all very fresh. The donuts are delicious!! They are very fresh, with many flavors. Customer service is great

Jolly Donuts has been a staple in the city of Sandusky for many years. Locals and tourists alike have been enjoying the fresh selection of homemade donuts every day for years. The location is small and gives you a feel of a 1950's diner. Note the decor probably hasn't changed since the 50's, but don't worry, I don't think the prices have changed all that much either! You can have a seat in several booths, or sit at a bar stool at the counter for the full diner feel. At $6.75 for a dozen donuts you can't go wrong. Some personal favorites in our house include the blueberry cake donut, angel icing, and the classic glazed.

Good little doughnut shop we stopped by on our trek to cedar point. They surprisingly offered a full breakfeast menu which was unexpected for a doughnut shop. The doughnuts was very tasty and the service was prompt and good. Heads up the parking lot is limited and the spots there are very tight.

I figured to give OH a chance with their competitor. Fresh Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer appeared and tasted like melted custard gone wrong! Custard base was white, included two flavors of your choice. I chose caramel and peanut butter. Also selected almonds and paid a little extra as I craved for crunch and texture in my evening treat. The flavor combinations meshed well together. Also disappointed that my dessert wasn't filled to the brim. This is how my treat was served when I shot the photo. Please freeze the supposedly frozen custard for a longer period of time. I'm certain there will be happier customers in the future. There are pros regarding dine in: Plethora of free parking in the lot. First order, then pay. Customer(s) will be given a number and instructed to place number placard on the table. An employee will bring your order(s) to the table and remove the number placard. Lots of tables, benches and individual stools with countertops. Second night: I persuaded my husband to let's try their ButterBurger and fries for dinner. We're all in and arrived hungry at 8:05 PM to find a sorry for the inconvenience sign indicating they will close at 8 PM tonight. Normal COB hours for Mondays are 10 PM. That was an unexpected closure. If I'm in the area again, I desire a complete meal filled with ButterBurger Cheese, Wisconsin Cheese Curds and a Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer.

The host was manager when we visited and we were sat quickly. The server Maddie was polite, friendly, and quick to serve, she had at least 5 tables and was quick on her feet for refills, sauces, and service. We started with the spicy chicken bites. They tasted fresh, had a great crunch, with excellent flavor. If you are a fan of spicy this is on a 2 to 5 scale. You also are served fresh bread made in house with butter. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken / half rack of ribs. They have a combo style for ordering and you can swap things if you'd like, for the price it's great to try something new. The chicken was made perfect. I ended up having to finish the ribs at home, once again, perfect. Yes you could get something more "affordable" but for a date night, or you want to enjoy yourself, the quality is there. We made sure to ask for a manager (if they weren't busy!) to let them know they did a great job. I threw him through a loop with, "If I was in prison for 20 years I would want this exact plate coming out". Thanks for being a good sport and keeping up with Longhorn. We will be back !

While it was cooked to my liking (medium) it was dry. I couldn't bring myself to like it due the excessive charring on each bite. The normal ribeye, on the other hand, was nice and juicy and 12 oz (vs the 20 oz outlaw). Some parts were too fatty but overall a nice experience. Sides: sweet potato was nice and sweet. Came with butter which not needed. Broccoli was kid friendly. Shrimp was ok. Banana peppers paired well with shrimp. Actual shrimp was very small. The breading filled a lot of the dish, which i had to take off because it was too much at the end. Nice clean atmosphere. Service was fast and attentive.
