Given that we are STILL in the middle of a global pandemic, and that means fast food joints' drive thru lines have been incredibly long, I would have thought they'd have a better handle on the line situation! It was a nightmare. If you arrived at an inopportune time, the cop--yes that's right..they needed to get a COP to divert traffic, this place is so unbelievably busy, anyway said cop would wave you away from the restaurant...we were confused and pulled in at the exit and parked. So did a few others. I approached the cop asking him what we should do, telling him we were confused and he nastily told us to go around and come back. Ok...that means nothing to us. He couldn't be bothered to explain the situation whatsoever. Since he was essentially useless we went up to a few of the employees taking orders who were much nicer and explained what was going on. They told us that the township wouldn't allow the overflowing line to as much as touch Route 1, so if there was no room for anyone to fully pull into the restaurant, they were waved away. While others with better luck got to enjoy their Jollibee meal, we were stuck playing chicken with other motorists to get into the drive thru. I thought this was completely unfair. A few others and I asked if they could take our order from the parking spots in the back; we didn't care if we had to wait. They refused and said it wouldn't be fair. We understood, and attempted to go to the jug handle a few miles up to turn around in an attempt to give it another try. Needless to say that jug handle was a complete nightmare loaded with traffic, it took us almost 15 mins JUST to head to the south side of Route 1! We would have needed to take yet another jug handle to get back to the Jollibee line, and we weren't even guaranteed to have our orders taken! What a disappointing experience and a waste of time. We were kind of crushed because we had been looking forward to trying out Jollibee for months during the quarantine. Yes, we did come at the peak of lunch time, but from other reviews I've read, I've drawn the conclusion that no matter what time/day you come, the lines are atrocious. I don't even mind the wait! I just hate that you're not even guaranteed to have your order taken at this place! I'm gonna sound like a "Karen" here, but quite frankly I think it's bullsh** that prospective paying customers might not even get to have their order taken at this place. There needs to be a better system in place for the ordering, no doubt about it. They should offer online ordering, in addition to the drive thru, or allow people to place orders from the parking lot, something! We drove all the way from central jersey just to be turned away. I really want to give this place another go, but not at the risk of wasting gas and time to be turned away. Get your ish together Jollibee. read more

We plan to stop by at this store on a weekday and past lunchtime to assume we escape long line and long wait but as soon as we turn to the store big sign says drive thru only ok fine Its only 2 cars ahead of me I assume it's quicker but it's not I still waited 5 minutes to get my turn the worst part I ask for 20 PCs chicken and they told me wait time around 25-30 minutes because it's bulk so I ask how many chicken do you have right now how about 6pcs and the guy told me need to wait for 10 minutes.. it's ridiculous you know chicken is your bread and butter and it's not even busy because it was just between 230-3pm you don't even have 6pc chicken available? Worst flagship store ever.. this store will not last long or better shut this down too many complaints not a good image for the Jollibee USA.. I'd rather travel extra 30 minutes to Jersey City than waste time and bad service in Jollibee Edison.. horrible!! read more

If you are tired of all the normal highway fast food chains, you should make a trip here. The inside was not open for dining, so the drive through line was long, but it was all worth the wait. I ordered the Kalabok, fried chicken and mango pies and all were excellent. The fried chicken is not greasy or heavy like KFC. There is another location in Jersey City that's apparently been there for a while. Maybe I will check that one out next time and hopefully it's not as busy. read more

This branch of Jollibee is by far the most inefficient branch that I have encountered so far. My family had always been a fan of Jollibee but this branch had given our family two bad experiences already. We bought a number of bucket treats and received the order with missing peach mango pies. I called the business number to request for a refund. I was given a refund of $4.19 for three peach mango pies. Their menu showed that peach mango pies are sold for $2.49 each. Apparently the guy was not able to give me a full refund because I bought the bucket treat. In refunding me $4.19, they just made me pay full price for the bucket of chicken and a family pack spaghetti. If you were already inconvenienced by their inefficient food service, should you be taking another hit just for requesting a refund? The excuse was "we should bear with them because they are still training their staff". What happened to extending a little bit of goodwill to win back customers' trust. Honestly, if they are not ready for prime time, they should not be opening their store. I am not the only one complaining of missing items. I have asked a friend and a relative and all said that they are missing items too. If this is a "one of" mistake, I can say things were just missed. But for this to happen consistently, I would say it is highway robbery. Buyer beware... Check your items before leaving the parking lot or you will have to pay more if you request a refund for missing items or you will have to suffer through the queue one more time... I went to this new place and had a horrible experience. First of all they had NO menus because they gave them all out. Secondly they have 2 drive up lanes and I was in the left lane and this woman was in the right. I merged because I had the right of way and she got angry at me. I ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup on it and fries. COLD. There is nothing that frosts my chaps than cold food. Disgusting and not to mention the meat tasted weird. I learned about Jollibee chicken fairly recently, in an online article rating fried chicken. I decided to take the 30 minute drive to try it out, and it was well worth it. The chicken is all dark meat, and I have only tried the spicy which is excellent. I've had the chicken sandwich which is huge. Their chicken is very moist and not greasy as I often find competitor's chicken to be. Their mango pies are really good too. I have heard that the food is good, but I would never know because the service is HORRIBLE! They have bad customer service and unorganization. The website is not easily accessible. The worker came out to tell us what car to get behind and told the car behind us the order in which orders were going to be taken, but the car behind us just totally disregarded what the worker said and she pulled up in front of us. It was worth the wait. Got the spicy chicken, adobo (very garlicky which was a plus for us), spaghetti, mango peach pie. Chicken was super crunchy. Spaghetti was better than I expected. Came here for the first time to try some food. It was busy and there was a man in the drive through line directing cars since it was busy. The location is right off of Route 1 so I obviously couldn't wait in line in the middle of a highway. The man gestured for me to pull up so I pulled up towards him and then he proceeded to throw his hands up at me and point at me and say "I didn't tell you to do that! You guys keep doing the same thing! Back up NOW!" He was trying to get me to back up back onto Route 1 into oncoming traffic. This was ridiculous and it's totally unprofessional to have a worker throw his hands at me and yell at me for pulling my car up too far. read more

Yes, couldn't get into the drive-through after several tries, but when we finally did everything went as expected. Yes, you will wait at least 10-15 minutes for your food, but the chicken is cooked to order so it's fresh and worth the wait. The staff is very friendly and polite. We will return! read more

I first noticed this place a month ago while driving up Route 1 and saw a line of cars waiting to get in with a police officer directing traffic. I've been wanting to try it after reading all the reviews about their chicken and happened to be in the area this past Sunday around 4:30pm and was able to pull in so thought this would be my chance. There were two line and I was in the one closest to the building, and the worker came back handing out menus. She said there was a $60 minimum order...i thought she said $16 but confirmed it was $60! Since I was only getting food for myself and my mother, there is no way I could order that much food. If there would have been a sign with this information, I would have never pulled in. Now I had to wait for the cars in the next lane to move so that I could cross over and exit. Very disappointing experience....doubt I will be back. read more

Got the three piece meal with mashed and gravy. 2 drums and I think a half piece of a breast (and I've been a butcher for 25 years) I couldn't tell what it was, some kind of white meat. Coating tasted like flour and water, very bland and was crumbling off the chicken. 10.00 for the 3 pieces and the mashed? Too pricey. Aside from the almost 30-minute wait to place an order, we waited longer for the order to come(they made us park the car). Something is wrong with the way their system works. Instead of accepting calls and pick ups, they make everyone wait in the drive thru lines. The first time I went, there was no problem since it was a weekday and the driveway wasn't packed. However, in the weekend that I went afterwards, the police officer who was manning the traffic told us to keep driving because there was no room for our car. We circled another time and there was still no room in the driveway. I understand why it's so busy and the food is worth the wait but we didn't even have the option to wait. We were continually dismissed when a call and pick up would have been easier. We drove to Jersey City Jollibee instead, 30 minutes away from Edison, where call and pick up was available so we were pleased but I hope that Edison Jollibee will also implement call and pick up soon to make their customers and possibly their workers less stressed. read more

OK so I had not previously heard of this place before but would always see the cars lined up out onto the highway each time I passed by so I just had to try it out. I read up on the reviews before going to see what items people thought were best. I went at 10:30 in the morning when the line was short. Based on the reviews I ordered two buckets of chicken ( one, original one spicy), mashed potatoes, fries, a chicken sandwich, the mango peach pies and a pineapple quencher. Overall my family and I were very disappointed. Perhaps it is because as a African American woman I KNOW how to fry chicken and and have higher standards, perhaps most people who gave the rave reviews don't know how to cook. Not trying to throw shade at the Jollibee folks but honestly I can fry better tasting chicken and make better mashed potatoes and gravy at home. The chicken sandwich is NOT better than Popeyes, Chik Fila or KFC. If I had to rate Jollibees amongst the competitors I would put it below a Crown Fried Chicken, below a Church's Fried Chicken and way below a Popeyes or KFC. The fries were OK. The pineapple quencher was good and the mango peach pies were a nice change up from the usual desserts. But it is not worth waiting in a long line for fries, mango peach pies and a pineapple drink so I doubt that I will be back again. read more

It was a mob scene even at 5 PM on Saturday. We were the last car able to get into the lot. A waitress came & took our order and then it's waiting in line to get the food. The overall wait was about 20 min. For 6 people (with 3 teen boys), we ordered Bucket Treat A (6 pieces of fried chicken (crispy outside & very juicy inside), 6 pieces burger steak (think Salisbury steak with mushroom & lots of gravy), and 3 peach pies (crispy and good peach/mango flavor, similar look as MsD's apple pie), 2 Chicken Sandwiches (large patty and very crispy) and 2 Aloha Yumburgers (juicy patty with a slice of pineapple, lettuce & tomato). All this for about $60. We provided our own rice & drinks. Food is good and certainly a welcomed change from the typical fast food restaurants. However, price is far high...probably double what you'd pay at other fast food chains. We are glad that we tried it but the long lines and higher price makes this only an occasional option for us. read more
