The moment you enter this restaurant, you are greeted with the neon sign, "Long Live Bacon." You…read moreknow what that means? Yes, they put bacon on everything. Sinful but worth every calorie! Plus, who doesn't love Bacon? Seriously. The place is small and cramped. There are a couple of high stools and three small tables under the "Long Live Bacon" sign. If you need to use the comfort room, you have to enter the secret room called ABV. It's a speakeasy and I will definitely talk about it more in another review. The food here is perfect for after a long night of drinking with friends. They offer a breakfast menu where you can customize your own plate. Want a bacon and egg sandwich made with 2 waffles? Go for it! But, in my opinion, the definite Must Try here are their Hotdogs! All their hotdogs are bacon-wrapped and deep fried! YUM! I recommend the Chili Dog (Php220) and the Kimchi Dog (Php190). Next time, I will have to try their Tater Bombs (bacon-wrapped potato tots)! But, it's always sold out when I arrive! Huhu! I can't wait to see what Lazy Bastard will "baconify" next! :D

I heard about hotdogs sold at Php 100 but never at these prices. My siblings and I decided to be adventurous and tried their hotdogs anyway. It was in Jupiter street and we found parking around the area. We saw their big sign that said "Bacon & Burgers this way". When I took a bite of their hotdog, I was enlightened. I tasted the hotdog sandwich's full potential. I experienced Lazy Bastard's BACON WRAPPED hotdog in a bun and topped with a load of toppings. I particularly found their Con carne and parmesan hotdog sandwich to be their bestest. On my next visit, I'm planning to try their AVOCADOG. On the other hand, I found their burger to be okay.

The burger patties were good, no doubt, and the caramelized onions were cooked perfectly. The problem with the burgers here is the sauce, which tastes simply awful! They use the same sauce for their fries too, which defies all logic... Tip: Scrape the sauce from their burgers, and you've got a pretty good burger!

Luckily, The Burger Project meets all of these qualifications to be a Maginhawa standard. The restaurant is cozy, with seating both inside and outside. You can seat larger parties here but be prepared to be brushing elbows. It helps the place feel more homey. The menu of available toppings and pre made combinations alongside sides and drinks are written artfully in chalk above the cash register and condiments bar. They have this cool template where you can literally build your own burger, customizing everything from the bun to the cheese to sauces, condiments and everything in between! Be warned though, every upgrade comes at a price and it can add up quickly. The standard patty is a very generous serving, and familiar to most Filipino palates, it's a bit on the saltier side. I do, however, appreciate its flavor and juiciness so I don't really think it's a deal breaker. Some standout add-ons to the burgers here include an egg, adobo aioli, a grilled pineapple slice, and garlic cream cheese among more standard and out there choices. I love their fries too! Definitely good for sharing for the size. I recommend the sweet potato fries (₱70), The Animal Style Fries (a nod to In-N-Out's famous fries of the same name), and the garlic aioli fries. They're great, especially the sweet potato fries because they walk a really nice line between kamote fries you'd buy on the street and the sweet potato fries you'd see at more American places.
