I love Jollibee, it brings such a nostalgic feeling every time I walk in. Reminds you so much of the Philippines, but Filipino Jollibee for me is undeniably better lol. Whenever we order we always get the 2 pc chicken joy with double rice. Not a lot know but they have a spicy version and omg it is simply THE BEST, and when I say spicy it is SPICY lol. If you ever get to try the chicken eat it hot and fresh! Dip it in the gravy and eat with rice, not fries (unless you're a kid). The chicken gravy and rice is a delicious combo. And I know the jolly spaghetti might be not for everyone but if you can, try it first! It is sweeter than your traditional spaghetti and comes with hotdogs, just a heads up. Everything on the menu is truly delicious if you give it a chance! I only gave it 1 star off because why are the only 2 Jollibees in Chicagoland so close to each other? That annoyed me. I really, really wanted to love Jollibee. I've been watching people eat this stuff on YouTube for a long time! Let's start with the location. This Jollibee is in the Seafood City Supermarket which is an AWESOME international/Filipino grocery store (with many other eatery options, I might add). Inside Jollibee, you find dirty tables and floors, and a hazardous pile of recycling and garbage blocking the entrance to the restrooms (also filthy). Jollibee still has a lot of novelty and hype in the US, so we waited about 10-15 mins to order at 3:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Jollibee spaghetti, chicken dippers, Yum Burger with cheese, and a peach mango pie. The spaghetti sauce is very sweet (what it's known for), but there wasn't as much meat or as many hot dogs in the sauce as I expected. The yum burger with cheese was inedible. I can't remember the last time I was unable to finish a cheeseburger, but I couldn't stomach this one. The sauce was foul and heavily slathered on a sad looking bun, and the patty was a 1/8 inch thick, burned, and hard excuse for "meat." Pass on that. The chicken dippers were very good. The meat was juicy and tender, and the breading was crisp (although lacked in seasoning). This is the only entree item I would reorder. As you would expect, the peach mango pie was wonderful. The crust is very, very crispy, and the filling is a peach/mango version of your standard fast food corn syrupy sweet and thick pie filling. We also tried the pineapple juice which was sweet, yet refreshing. I'm sure if I grew up with this place, the nostalgia alone would keep me coming back. However, as a newbie to Jollibee, the first experience will likely be my last. read more

I tried going to the Jollibee in Skokie a few months after that location opened and it was still 1.5 hr wait. So I left and went to Halal Guys. I didn't get around to trying Jollibee until this new location opened. I didn't know how close Seafood City and this new location was to my friend's apartment until he pointed it out to me one day. I went on a Sunday afternoon to finally try some Jollibee. I waited in line for about 20-30 minutes. I ordered it to go so I waited another 5 minutes for my food to be ready. I ordered the chicken bucket B (which consisted of 6 pcs of fried chicken, a family sized order of spaghetti and 3 peach mango pies) and large fries. I was so excited to try it when I got home. Everything was amazing! Well, except for the fries not being salted at all. I was warned that the spaghetti would be sweet but I grew up with a mom who oddly enough added sugar to the jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce so it was perfect for me. The spaghetti had chopped up pieces of hot dog in it and a little bit of cheese on top. It could have used more sauce. The peach mango pies are a million times better than the McDonald's apple pies that everyone compares them to. I need to go back ASAP. read more

This is the location inside of Seafood City. I have never tasted Jolibee, but I went on a Friday afternoon and there were only a handful of customers, so I placed my order, was given a pager, and the food was ready within 3 minutes. The chicken was delicious. Tender and moist inside, with a light crispy breading. I got the 6 piece bucket. The other half was spicy. I mean spicy! Way hotter than Popeyes. We saw this Jollibee while on our way out of town and decided to see what all the fuss was about! This location was pretty crowded, another customer told us the location on Touhy Ave. wasn't nearly as busy. We got the family combo B, which had a 6 piece bucket of chicken, gravy, a large bowl of spaghetti and 2 mango peach pies. We also got a green ice drink and one of their sundae's with adzuki beans and icecream. The real standout was the chicken, this stuff is good! We poured the gravy on top to make it extra unhealthy but extra tasty. I'd return just for this gooey mess. The rest of the meal though... very mediocre I have to admit. The spaghetti is def. love it or leave it, for me it was too sweet, the sausage/hot dog cut up into it was too mushy and the pasta overcooked. Desert-wise, the peach/mango pie crust was flaky and tasty, but the filling tasted really artificial. Overall I spent 37$ on fast food, it was fun to try something new but I wouldn't make any special trips here, the combo B was more than enough for 3 people -- I have to say, Popeye's chicken is crispier and a whole lot closer so I'll just go with that option, but if you go, get the chicken. read more

I just want to say that I'm appalled and disgusted with the recent behavior of a supervisor. Her name is Milagos Soscan. After numerous visits to this eatery and I mean numerous, at least once a week. I am about to call the police on the verbal abuse I have witnessed in reference to this supervisor berating her subordinates . This wasn't done behind closed doors or in the office but out in the customer eating area. This issue needs to be addressed . He asked me to wait 9 minutes. 10 minutes later, still nothing. My boyfriend, now angry, asks them where it is. They say wait 40 seconds. At this point we're just over it and we ask for a refund. 4 people stand at the register to process our request before the manager shows up. The manager gives a half-hearted apology before we get our refund and offers us nothing beyond that. The spicy chicken is very good. The heat comes from a spice that is actually sprinkled on top, in lieu of being added to the breaded before the chicken is cooked. It's a surprising twist, but hubby and I liked it. The quality of the chicken is still questionable, because of the amount of fattiness their chicken seems to have. I was sort of forced to try this place by the lady in my life bring Filipino. She ordered for me the following items. Spicy fried chicken, spaghetti, palabok, peach/mango pie. Fried chicken was delicious and a good kick and the gravy was a unique and tasty addition. Spaghetti was interesting it has a sweet taste to it, but I was surprised it was good the hotdogs were a great addition because I love hotdogs. Moving on I did not enjoy the palabok at all, not my cup of tea the noodles had a strange texture. I love those apple pies at McDonald's who doesn't, but this place has something similar that is maybe on par with those delicious little pies to go. The sweet mango and peach combination seems strange, but it is to die for, the crust is flakey and crispy overall I would stop by this place just to grab some of those pies. Overall I had a pretty good experience, obviously I will most likely be forced again to go here, due to my significant other loving this place.
