Dr. Cantu is a psychiatrist that provides brief counseling with her practice. I find this very refreshing as other psychiatrists usher you out the door in 20 minutes or less. I recommend her to all my friends and relatives and they also adore her care and compassion.

Ms. Tiffany at the front desk is great as well. She's friendly, funny, and efficient! Over the years, more providers and receptionists have joined the practice, but our original team (Dr. Cantu and Ms. Tiffany) has done us right from the very beginning! They've always been helpful with appointment scheduling, prescriptions, and any questions we've had. Additionally, the office is nicely decorated with soothing lights and is always spotless. I really appreciate the effort that goes into making this office such a comfortable and welcoming environment.

First and foremost, Dr. Penny is excellent at what he does. He is kind, patient, knowledgeable and…read morecompassionate. I relocated to Texas earlier this year and wanted to find someone who I could place some solid confidence behind. He was able to immediately address some issues I had and has been exceptionally supportive since then. Unfortunately, his office's outdated business practices create unnecessary inconveniences for the patient. This is why I have unfortunately chosen to seek a different doctor. Specifically: - he does not accept or bill medical insurance - he does not accept debit/credit cards I've had to pay 100% visit cost in cash upfront with every visit, and then wait for his office staff to mail me a receipt with ICD9 codes for insurance claim purposes. Otherwise, I get zero credit for meeting my annual deductible. These are way too many hoops to jump through when I could just have a simple per-visit copay and let insurance cover the rest. It's a shame that Dr. Penny's office has these policies in place, because I would otherwise be a loyal long-term patient. That said, if the insurance and payment restrictions are not an issue for you, then you will be in excellent hands. - Dr. Penny - 5 stars - Office Policies - 1 star 3 stars overall

I have spent years working with various therapies, medications, and supplements to remedy my…read moregeneral anxiety. I had read a little about the success of ketamine assisted psychotherapy for anxiety (among other things). Transcend just opened up nearby, and I decided to give it a shot. In 6 sessions, it changed my life. That droning "baseline" anxiety I would always feel is gone, my outlook on life dramatically improved, and I no longer feel irritable. Most ketamine clinics just give you some ketamine and send you on your way (check the therapeutic ketamine subreddit and see what others do). Transcend is unique in that you are talking with a psychotherapist during the entire infusion, which is much more therapeutic than ketamine, alone. Then there's Will. He's the head nurse on staff at Transcend. He goes out of his way to make sure you are getting the most out of your therapy. In addition, he probably knows more about the research and science behind ketamine therapy than most doctors in the field. He is passionate about this field, and is enthusiastic to discuss and field questions from you. I can't thank the team a Transcend Ketamine enough for the positive impact they had on my life.
