I purchased a party for my daughter on Living Social. I really had no idea what to expect and I was completely blown away by the amazing party Jola's Joyful Events created. The team was incredibly professional, did a beautiful job decorating for the party, were completely engaged with the kids and made sure the party ran smoothly. I did not have to do a thing and actually got to talk to my guests and enjoy the party. My daughter and all her friends LOVED the party and had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!! read more

Celebrated my daughter's six birthday here on the weekend, it was fabulous. We choose the tea party package and what really got me was all the details that went into the preparation. Just had my daughter's 9th birthday party here and we were very impressed with the staff and accomodations. It was a far drive but the girl's had so much fun and the hostesses really go out of their way to make the birthday special. Would definitely recommend!! read more

Ruined my 9 yo daughters birthday party. We showed up with 13 nine year old girls and they turned us away at the door because they had no record of the appointment we had made 2 weeks prior. Wasn't a very "joyful" event for my daughter in tears. read more

Jola was so professional in setting up the event. The party hostesses were enthusiastic and went the extra mile! You could tell that they really loved their jobs. My 8-year-old, her six friends, and even her 11-year-old sister had a blast. I would highly recommend Jola's Joyful Events. read more

What a joke. This place was ridiculous. Paid good money for a 13-year old birthday party because they say they cater to kids 6-16. They don't. I was mortified for my daughter and her friends. They have a good sense of humor. The worst part is they billed me, on top of what I paid already, for 2 hostesses at $35 each! So what did I already pay for? Half-off Depot deal does say gratuity not included, but apparently this "business" decides what your gratuity is. It was awful Please don't waste your time or money. read more

We bought a groupon for a kids party at their site that appeared to be a fantastic deal. We have tried numerous times with numerous dates and can not use the groupon. 2-3 months in advance they say they are booked however if you try to book 4 months in advance they say they can not book that far out. Buyer beware. read more

My BFF and I went here as a reward for my good report card. When we first got to the place we waited for a while then went in to the "spa" for a day of "pampering". Fist they gave us itchy, dirty, red robes. Then we had to sit on a cold, hard bench while our nails were being painted and had to lean over so the girl could reach our nails. Our foot bath was freezing cold water in a metal tub and had white and yellow pieces of who knows what in it! All of the nail polishes were dried up and not to mention the horrible job that was done by an 18 year old on our nails. Our nails were so cakey and she didn't even paint our whole nail! They had a nice speaker with music in the corner on but every time a song my friend and I liked came on the 18 year old would get up in the middle of painting our nails to go change the song because she didn't like it. While she was doing our nails she asked us some personal questions about growing up! She made us feel VERY uncomfortable! Then she put this lotion on our face that stung like crazy with a cotton ball and made us put a baby wipe on our eyes. The worst part is that she made us looked relaxed and kept moving our heads around so that she could take several pictures with her phone. I week later we discovered that they posted our pictures all over the internet when neither my mom, me, or my friend gave them permission to do. After our face masks were done we got up to go sit in these chairs to get makeup that we really didn't want. My friend and I wanted a very settle skin tone color eyshadow but she MADE us get a color to match our outfits. I got a very bright blue and my friend got a purple. When she was doing our makeup she got it all in my eyes and a piece of the chunky makeup stayed in my eye for nearly 2 day bugging me to death! After our eyeshadow came the lipgloss. The majority of the lipgloss didn't have lids on them and had goey, sticky residue on them. They then gave us popcorn that tasted like it had been poisoned. They lied about many things on their website. We never got cookies to eat or cucumbers on our eyes, and the face mask was not a facial. Most importantly it WAS NOT REALAXING!!! They treated us 11 year olds like 2 year olds. All I have to say is don't waste your moneySUCH A DISAPOINTMENT read more

They tell you that you can touch the dinosaurs that you can reach without crossing the ropes. There's a big sandbox to "dig up" dinosaur bones with paintbrushes. I really didn't expect my teenager to enjoy himself, but he had fun too! That pleasantly surprised me. I think we all learned a few new things about where certain dinosaurs lived, and some dinosaur names we hadn't heard of before. The ONLY reason it's not getting a full 5 stars is because of a couple of reasons - 1 - A couple of the dinos could use maintenance. One of them has long claws that are a little broken. (You can see the inner structure poking out.) The small T-Rex looks like his eyes are having issues opening back up after it "blinks." 2 - The only staff member that wasn't very friendly was the cashier at the souvenir shop. He seemed like he really didn't enjoy his job. It's not the most fun position to have there, I'm sure, but it does have an effect on the full experience for customers. Definitely a place to check out for anyone that has kids that have any interest in dinosaurs.

Just had my daughter's 9th birthday there today! Brenda and staff made it the perfect "glam" party! My daughter and friends loved it...and so did I because of their"hands off" - "We got it!" attitude.(Meaning as Mom I did nothing but take pictures!) The most stress free party I have ever had---and with 2 daughters we have had every party imaginable! Every detail was taken care of from set-up, spa services, refreshments, "present time" and even placing the gifts in our car! The spa services were fun and well coordinated and the set-up for cupcakes, popcorn and lemonade in plastic champagne glasses was too cute. The details were well covered! The girls LOVED it!!!! This was truly a wonderful experience for my daughter, especially since she had been wanting to have a diva spa party for quite a while. The staff was courteous and professional and I didn't have to lift a finger. This was one of the most stress free parties I have had in a long time. My only suggestion would be to have your food hot enough in the event that your party will be held on site as there is no way to warm anything up or if you're ordering pizza, have the delivery person come closer to the time it is time for your guests to partake in the refreshments. My guests really enjoyed themselves. They even have a professional photographer on site to capture your special day. It doesn't get much better than that! Kudos to Jola's Joyful Events! Miss Brenda and her team are wonderful.... I booked this for my daughter's 6th Birthday party! They took care of all the girls and it was a great place and atmosphere for a young girls party... Mani's, Pedicures, Facials with Cucumbers, and Make-up along with Freeze Dance, Musical Chairs, and then cupcakes. Jola's also served homemade strawberry lemonade in flutes and had popcorn while the girls got pampered. The mom's loved it to with the music and interacting with the kids. First time I've hired someone to help with one of my parties, though I've attended staffed parties in the past. I could not have been happier with Jola's! My daughter was turning 5 and wanted the dress up tea party at our house. The three hostesses who arrived were just amazing. They truly took care of every detail, pampered the girls to the hilt, and cleaned up everything they brought at the end of the day. It was a fantastic value and an absolute godsend to have these ladies here. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again (and my children are already counting on it, planning the next event)! read more

I purchased a Birthday party for my twin daughters. The manager and hostesses, were very professional and on time. When we arrived the the rooms were set up so nicely. My daughters and their guests were well accomodated! The staff was very engaging, and I did not have to do anything but relax.
