East Cobb Stables has been a dream come true for my daughter and our family! From the first phone call to the owner, Amy Conway, to date, this stable has been warm, welcoming, kind, considerate, and professional! Kelly Conway, my daughter's trainer, is absolutely amazing! She is so kind, considerate and thoughtful with her instruction! Kelly has cultivated a supportive and inspiring relationship with my daughter that relates to my daughter's riding goals. Lastly, riding horses is a very costly sport and East Cobb Stables has very reasonable pricing. We were so happy with their leasing fees that we were able to make my daughter's dream come true and lease a horse that made sense to us financially. This was a cute place for a birthday party. They had two horses for the kids to ride on and staff to walk the horses in circles for the kids. They also had a bounce house available for the kids. There is a covered pavilion that has tables and chairs and a large counter to put food on. The parking was not great nor were the bathrooms, but for a little kids party, it was fine. read more

We were monthly lesson subscribers for around two years. Our over $200 monthly fee was direct debited like clockwork every month. The fee was to cover 4 lessons a month. Unfortunately, because the stable does not have a covered or even slightly climate controlled arena, our lessons were quite frequently cancelled due to rain/mud, cold or heat. These cancellations were to keep the horses safe and healthy - which my daughter and I fully support - however missed lessons were supposed to be made up by the stable as they were already "paid in full". There were months we ended up taking as little as two lessons -- while pre-paying for four -- especially during rainy, cold or hot months. Unfortunately, when it came time to schedule make up lessons, the trainer would have no slots or only slots during the day, during the week when my daughter was at school. Make up lessons would stack up week after week, month after month, despite my best efforts to re-schedule lost lessons with our trainer or even sometimes another (cancelled lessons are supposed to be made up relatively soon after being missed, however the trainers already very full schedule and/or other difficulties in rescheduling often prevented this). When this situation was repeatedly brought to the attention of one of the owners, Sean, he was always super kind and said he completely understood the problem and agreed that the missed lessons would be added up and somehow honored, however he said the situation would need to be rectified by his wife, Amy, after we met to tally missed lessons. I would ask him to have Amy call me and I would also call Amy myself to follow up and request (via voicemail as her phone would not be answered) a meeting to tally up total missed lessons together so that we could begin actively working through make ups. I would attempt to reach Amy over ensuing days or weeks to address the situation, to no avail, and no return call ever came in from her either. Unfortunately, in the end, it was clear that the many missed lessons I paid for were never to be honored or refunded, despite Sean's repeated assurances that the situation would be addressed and rectified. This situation occurred multiple times throughout our time at ECS and so, after losing many pre-paid lessons and never getting a response around rectifying the situation, my daughter and I sadly discontinued our monthly membership at ECS. (She now rides when she can further north at Misty Meadows - a wonderful stable!) As monthly debit customers, I feel our money and business were taken completely for granted as I paid like clockwork -- no matter how many lessons my daughter actually received. With our money already "in the bag", so to speak, there seemed to be zero urgency to give us what we paid for. I have no doubt we lost hundreds of dollars in missed lessons and it is only due to the distraction of other matters that I foolishly allowed the situation to repeatedly occur and never be rectified. If you use this stable, I would highly recommend you pay only as you go for each lesson actually completed (even though the rate is higher) as, per my repeated experience over a great many months, pre-paid missed lessons will very often just go unaddressed -- and you will find yourself simply forfeiting the cost while your phone calls go unanswered. read more

I'm the 1st review, so I feel the need to let you know that $8 Sunday Pony Rides 1-2PM is deceitful. Everyone knows that a Horse Ranch is not in the middle of town, therefore, the venture is out of the way. Other than that fact and that my 3yr old daughter was very excited to ride the pony, we would've left. When we got there we were told "cash only" however the website implies the opposite with the merchant service method as the only option on the website. The guy running it told me the $8 pony ride gets you 2-3 laps or if you want your child to ride 15min, that's $20... Excuse me?!? So really, if you want your child to do the 1-2PM Sunday pony ride that will be $80. Oh, and make sure to bring cash for their insisted tip, as they have a large sign that says "It is customary to leave a tip." Good thing my daughter is outgoing, because "Ling" (the teenager who guides the horse around the ring) didn't say anything to the other kids who waited their 30min in line for 2 laps. We wouldn't go back. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because my daughter did enjoy her brief moment on her pony "Buddy." read more

Bought the Groupon and called a couple times. Left a message. I finally called back today and spoke to a person. I was told we can't reserve any riding lessons (Groupon is for 2qty 1 hour sessions $82) until June which is one month away. Why would they sell if a person could not take advantage for the next month. My daughter has been looking forward to this so it's extremely disappointing and not professional. I'll be reaching out to Groupon for a refund today. read more

I went to East Cobb Stables the other day the people there are great and they are so polite. They treated our kids with so much respect. Their training knowledge was impecable. It looks like we found our barn. read more
