The food at Jojo Fritay is great, especially the Lalo, which I enjoyed; the prices reflect the high quality, which I appreciate.

YES, YES, YES! As an American girl in love with a Haitian man...JoJo Fritay is a fantastic substitute when his mom isn't available to make her authentic Haitian cuisine! I LOVE Haitian pate's and when I called @ 630 and the owner (I believe) told me that she had some but I had to make it before 7pm, I hopped in my car and flew to Kennesaw! Lol I was greeted with the warmest smile & she knew it was me who called! I Ordered 4 chicken patties and she also provided me with 4 sides of Pikliz !!! The Pate's were made FRESH and from scratch! You can tell cause none of them were shaped the same! HUGE PLUS! They were sooooooo good!!! I killed two in one sitting!!! I will definitely be back to Jojo's to try more options & more Pate's!!!

Probably the best Haitian Restaurant I've been to, but only thing it's too far from me ‍ my barber is in Acworth so I drive that direction. I decided to try this one out, and oh was I satisfied . I went for the staple dish Griot and fritters which were the best I've had in a long time. It's in a super busy plaza but it def need bigger signage so you can see it amongst the other options . It's very festive once inside but the food does the talking here . Now I have one extra place to stop while after a haircut .

When I'm in the neighborhood, I try to stop by. My husband is a fan of their Lalo and they give you decent portions as well. The place is small with a few dine in tables but very clean. The decor is colorful so you feel like your in a Caribbean restaurant. You may wait a bit for the food but it's worth it. Delicious Haitian food. Get the fried Turkey, rice and beans as well as the Lalo with white rice. I wish they served the Djon Djon rice AKA black mushroom rice daily. It's only served on Sundays. I'm rarely up there on that day. Bob well. Their griot is also good. Plenty of options to please your palate.

Overall very good! This was the lunch special and it was a good amount of food. The macaroni side could have been bigger but again, the rice and main was already double what I ate for lunch. Legume was delicious and rice and peas were perfectly cooked. Pate kode was good, but could've used more filling for it's size. But it was fresh and crispy.

It's Sunday and I don't feel like cooking so I decided to try a Jojo Fritay. I grew up eating Haitian food as 2 of my closest friends are from Haiti so I'm a snob when it comes to their food. Since moving to Atlanta I've been trying to find a decent place here but after several tries and repeated disappointment I've just about given up. Located in Kennesaw off of Barrett Pkwy in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking around. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who waited patiently while I went over the menu. I had the Vegetable Legume with black rice, macaroni au gratin(definitely smaller than I would have liked) and plantains with passion fruit juice. The food was good Ofcourse I had to add pepper sauce but better than I expected. I will be back.

My parents and I have gotten food from this place for years because it's one of the most authentic Haitian spots we have found (we're Haitian btw )! I usually get the Fried Goat or the Griyo Fritay, and I ordered the Griyo Fritay last night. It was perfectly seasoned and fried without being too greasy. The pikliz was on point as always. I usually prefer my fried plaintains to be a bit thinner so it's crispier, but these still hit as always. 10/10 recommend this place especially if you've never had the pleasure of trying Haitian cuisine!

-The kid behind the counter could use a personality and some customer service skills -they could be less stingy with the sauce and pikliz -the TV was entirely too loud That said the food was good and the place is clean. I'd probably go back if I was in the area and in the mood for some Haitian food.

I came to try some of the food at Jojo Fritay and my experience was just the absolute worst. The Customer service was incoherent and I was left taken aback by it. The guy who took my order acted as him explaining the menu was an inconvenience to him by me trying to understand what was in the food, and what was what. Because I didn't know based off the names what Manyok, laylo, or pate kode, was. The menu was confusing. So I order my food sat down and ate some plaintains and manyok fries and decided to pack it up to go. As I packed up what food that was placed in the white paper bag and not noticing that the bag has soiled due to the pikliz vinegar salad spilling out I proceeded to get up to leave and boom the bag gives out and all my food is now laying on the floor. I'm upset and confused because I ate soft nibbles and now my food is laying on the floor. So I go to the customer service counter and explain that the packaging gave out due to the pikliz vinegar salad had spilled and if it's possible if he can replace the chicken pate kode. So he then proceeds to the back of the restaurant and comes back to the front counter and tells me that he's not comfortable with that and that I could purchase another one. At this point I'm sad and upset but more so due to the irony in "customer service" of replacing a less than $5 pate kode so I leave it at that and go. Reviewing the food, it was cold not so fresh tasting as if it's been sitting out for some time. The plantains-Manyok were extremely stale, the chicken pate kode wasn't the best. So I'm guessing it all ended up on the floor for a good reason even though the packaging was a fail. Returning, is a hard No.

Came all the way from McDonough Ga 11/2/22 and on the app states that they close in one hour! I rushed only to be greeted with a closed restaurant! Felt defeated!!

Amazing!!!! I drove over an hour to get some of the best tasting Haitian food I've ever eaten outside of a friend's home. I was NOT disappointed!! I did get my food to go, but they do offer dine-in service. The food is set up cafeteria style and I was thrilled for all of the vegan options. I ordered the vegan legume, akra, black rice, marinad, and a sorrel. The vegan legume was by far my favorite and I was missing the spice from the black rice, but the flavors were good. Adding the pikliz made it better. The marinad and akra were delicious and I wish I would've bought more of the akra. The prices for the amount of food you get is fair and definitely two- servings worth. The sorrel was the the only thing that fell flat for me. It had a very clove-ish taste which I'm not use to. Otherwise everything else from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the friendly lady that took my order was great. Definitely planning another trip up there for their delicious food.

Chicken and akra

I've ordered food here twice, once through grubhub and the second time I ordered directly at the restaurant. Both times the food was hot and fresh, especially especially the pate kode which appears to be made to order as both times it was piping hot. I've had both the herring and the chicken both of which were good, well seasoned. The chicken seemed to have more meat but it's not often you see herring on the menu so maybe it's harder to come by. On both occasions I ordered the chicken, once with mushroom rice, the next with white rice. The chicken itself came in a creole sauce which was so good and well seasoned. Personally I'm not a big fan of the mushroom rice but it seems many are. For the sides I got plantain, akra, and beans. The plantain and akra were both good. The beans seemed to have an overpowering taste from whatever seasoning was used. Overall, I'd definitely give this place a try. Good food and good customer service. Update: The food is still good during these trying times. Only issue is on the menus I've seen, it says lunch ends at 3 but when I called I was told 2. Also, we ordered three meals but only received one pikliz which was a bit disappointing and there was barely any spice to it. Other than that, everything was good, especially the chicken pate, very flavor and hot. It does have quick a bit of bread before you get the the fillin

The menu selection was extensive though simplistic. Several popular dishes were featured that included traditional meats including goat (cabrit) prepared in different ways. I selected a meal which included djon djon (black) rice, fried green plantain (preparation liked tostones) and fried cabrit. Meal included small portions of pikleas (spicy cabbage mix) and tasty gravy. Order was prepared in a timely fashion and presented as verification before my order was placed in to go bag. Everything was delicious!!! Portion size was enough to have leftovers, which were also perfect. The truly monumental part of my visit was reconnecting with the gentleman who told me about Marie's several months ago. He was sitting in waiting area and we conversed as I took pictures. We talked until we realized our connection and I thanked him again. Will definitely return to get some of my favorite Haitian meals. The plaza where located was spacious with free parking. The interior decorations included plenty seating and beautiful Haitian art work.

I had been wanting to try their food so figured give it a try. I placed an order for Haitian patties, Oxtail, and a side salad. When I arrived, I reviewed the receipt and noticed the price of the oxtail increased from $38 to $42. The price on the website is not currently reflecting the prices being charged. I use the unkind app but it was not working so could not use it to pay. The hostess said it was an ongoing issue. Let's discuss the food. My coworker enjoyed her Haitian patties. She said the island slaw was really good. The side salad is the house salad. I asked for balsamic dressing when given the option. There was none on that salad. Sigh. The oxtail were good. They were very well seasoned and had a good flavor. The rice and beans were good but not enough. The rice could have been cooked a tad bit longer. It wasn't fine bur like 1 minute when have been perfect. I did not dine in but it looked nice inside. There was a decent amount of people there. It was clean and nicely decorated. I would eat here again but I didn't like the price difference in the oxtails or lack of salad dressing. I think dining there those issues could have been addressed but I was back at work.
