Please Beware that rental insurance does not cover water damage and or mold! I am so disappointed…read morewith Public Storage and Allstate regarding my rental insurance! I moved out my unit 10x30 and once we were placing the boxes and items in my place, and some of the boxes look like they got wet. And once I open some of the boxes there was mold on several items! I had to throw my queen size mattress out, sheets, mattress protector, comforter, some pictures, George Forman grill, coffee maker, hand soap, plates, cups, bowls and utensils! Rather or not insurance is involved, the company should take accountability for all the money I was paying monthly in the amount of $408.50. And water had to be entering the unit via rain and also moisture. I have had items in storage before and have never experienced this type of damage. How does this type of damage fall on the customer? Water should not enter a storage unit!! If you have to put items in storage, I would suggest you have the items in a inside-inclosed storage unit! It will be worth the money because you will not have to worry about water and or mold! And the financial stress of having to replace some of your items!
