I had rectified the former, and thought I did with shoes, but coming into Sherman brothers I learned quite a few things. Firstly, the people here are wonderful, polite, courteous, attentive, and were very helpful in all my questions and inquiries. I had been eyeing a pair of Alden 403 Indy boots, and have quite a few pairs of quality mens shoes. However, the Indy boots can be notoriously difficult to size due to the last and shape of the shoe. If fitted correctly, I had heard these were the most comfortable pair that one can own. I had come in twice, once I was helped by Ken and the second time by Jose. The first time being fitted, I got a different size than what Jose recommended in the end. But after careful measuring, sizing, resizing, and resizing some more, I was assisted to get the best fit possible for my strangely sized feet. All in all, it took about an hour and a half, but you just won't get the same kind of experience at another shop. The folks here have been in the trade for decades, and the level of knowledge and experience is just unmatched. If like me, you went to a shop thinking the customer service members knew what they were talking about, you might be suffering with an incorrect size for years. I'd say if it's your first pair of nice dress shoes or boots, come to Sherman brothers first. Even if you were to get the most amazing pair of shoes from another shop, it won't mean anything when you're suffering from walking all day in an ill-fitted pair.

The only thing worse, and more disappointing was the reaction and treatment when we returned to address the questionable quality. Long to short, the shoes were taken back without a refund to be "returned to the manufacturer" to explore the issue. Was told they would contact us when returned. Fast forward 3 weeks after hearing nothing... We stop in to get an update only to find the shoes were never sent out, no explanation except to represent they addressed the issue by brushing the shoes reducing, but not resolving the issue. This is a hack job, terrible business. Run, do not walk from this place... Or purchase at your own risk... You have been warned. Fools Gold of shoe spots. Try Allen Edmonds just a Block down... service, quality, selection... All much better. They actually stand behind the quality of their product.

I didn't know what was in style and was having trouble with sizing. She handled it all, while serving other customers as well. The only thing I would suggest is that her staff was more like her. I felt like she was doing all of the work while others stood around waiting for Vicki to tell them what to do. It was unfortunate to see, but Vicky is a rockstar. While the others didn't find something in their sizes I ended up buying some nike boots here that were on sale for $50. The staff was friendly willing to help, each of them spoke and gave us advice while visiting. Would definitely come back to this location again.
