As a former business owner, I do not like it when people leave hit job type reviews when they are not deserved. I am only surprised that no one has reviewed Big Bill's since. I was not going to review the place as I have reviewed it before. It hasn't changed - it's still great. We were staying at 305 North Inn up the street and took advantage of the $10 per person per day credit they offered at Big Bill's. Every day our servers were responsive and the food delicious. You can't go wrong. The prices are still low and the environment is still warm and inviting. I'm impressed!

I would be willing to drive farther but I only live 125 miles away currently. They serve a deliberately limited menu: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and brats. Bags of chips, Cheetos, Doritos, etc. are also available as well as soft drinks. But those burgers --- not greasy at all, and served on a made-this-morning bun! You can get your burger with cooked onions ("mit onions") or "mitout" or you can get it with raw onions if you'd prefer. As someone who has eaten these in NE Iowa and SW Wisconsin for over 50 years: try one with cooked onions at least once. You'll love it!
