After the first day of clearing out, it was clear that the job was much bigger and taking longer than Jose expected. But to Jose's credit he did not walk away from the job. He came back and finished the job and he did it in a thorough and complete manner. I kept expecting him to take short cuts and rush through it, but he never did. At the end, he told me that he had lost quite a bit of money on the job, but he had given me a price and he would honor it. Given the excellent work and the fact that he honored his commitment to finish the job, I paid him extra even though he never pushed me or insisted on it. With respect to the 1 star review by Ira D below, I can see how Ira might be unhappy. Given the excellent work Jose does at such a fair price, he is very busy. It did sometimes take several days to get a response form Jose or I had to send a follow up message. You can look up J&J Landscape on other sites and see his reviews. I was not dissatisfied. He was quick to respond and actually came to my house and looked at the situation with my valves notating that three of my six valves needed replacement. One was not actually shutting off completely resulting in the leakage of water through my sprinkler heads. He was very accommodating in setting up a date quickly for follow up. He was punctual, both friendly and professional. Once the valves were replaced, they were tested only to find out that three of my stations on the control box did not work and the box needed to be replaced. This was totally unexpected and he was already set up for another appointment within the half hour. Even still, you went and purchased another box came back and installed it very quickly. The cost of total repair, including the unexpected box was very reasonable. I highly recommend him and will call upon him again in the future if needed.
