The store selection features an excellent assortment of some the best name products available, and I found their prices to be VERY competitive and a great value over on-line pricing. I have been a Johnson Photoimaging customer since 2017, when I purchased my first DSLR, a Nikon-D500 with several pro lenses, a pro-flash (speed-light), tripod and accessories. I primarily shoot nature/wild birds: moving subjects. In 2017, I was a novice photographer, and very interested in learning the camera features. I've taken 1:1 classes, participated in small group classes as well as Lectures/Educational Photo Shoots with Brand Ambassadors. I've learned more from these experiences than from on-line tutorials. JPI's staff has the gear on hand, to create "realistic" scenarios from which to learn. Every encounter I've had with personnel at JPI has been professional, positive and educational. Their staff have always gone above and beyond to answer questions, and they have been extermely ethical in all sales. Since 2017 I've traded-in and upgraded my camera gear several times. Trade-ins are fair and easy. Today, I have acquired a kit that includes 4 pro-camera bodies and numerous pro-telephoto, wide-angle, macro, flashes etc. I've also purchased binoculars, a Canon pro printer, camera bags for travel and many other accessories. Their product/brand selection is top notch with good inventory. I believe in purchasing insurance and have submitted claims for damaged cameras, lenses and binoculars. Each repair was successfully completed in a timely manner, and the gear was returned thoroughly cleaned and the settings were restored (where possible). The only exception was during the height of the Covid Pandemic when Asia was not shipping parts, which is understandable. We appreciate having this gem of a small business located in our community. These people are... how should I put it? Rude? Belittling? Call your intelligence into question so they can prove to you how smart they are in order to convince you to buy something they have in stock since the thing you want that they don't have in stock is "totally not what you want, but have you considered _______?" I've been three times. Each time they crowd you like a bull in a pen (I was a rodeo cowboy once, I'm being literal), then they ask what brings you in, then they tell you why you're wrong, then they ask you what camera you have, then they tell you why you're wrong. Then you tell them what exact thing you want to buy today, then they tell you they don't have it, then they tell you what you really want, and you're supposed to just comply and buy it. But don't. Don't comply and buy it. Amazon is cheaper and has it in stock. read more

Customer service is excellent with regards to purchasing camera, lenses and other photography equipment. I however was very disappointed in the customer service and turn around times with their printing services. Last year I began my photography business and decided to keep my money local and print all my samples through Johnsons. Photos that I ordered as mounted were not mounted. Photos that had to be sent out were never sent out causing further delay. It ended up taking 5 weeks to get all my prints back. I now go through an online professional print lab which has my order processed and shipped to my house in 3 days and their prices are 1/2-1/3 cheaper and the quality it top notch. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the store but didn't get anything more than, we are sorry for your experience. I haven't returned due to this. read more

I needed to get some accessories for my cameras. So off to Yelp I go and first look for camera shops that carry my make of camera. Ok, so I don't feel like traveling 100 miles to find an Olympus retailer. Next search, find a camera store that was local and lo and behold, up pops Johnson Photoimaging. So I stop in and I'm greeted by a polite and professional group that were actually eager to help me. And I was not the only customer in the store, so clearly I wasn't being ganged up on. This was professional and efficient service. I described my problems/issues and I was able to solve two of my three needs for my camera. They stated to me when the last piece I need arrives, they will call me. The store is very clean, the seem to offer numerous services and the layout is open and inviting. As the photo of the front of the building shows from another review, it certainly stands out. IF there is any negative comment to be made, and this is so minor, is that a first time customer MAY be a little confused finding the proper entrance. This is my new "go to" camera spot. read more

I went in searching for a usable camera, Faith was awesome. She educated me and on my buying options and listened to my camera needs. I was able to leave the store with everything I needed to take perfect photos. I searched for a camera in the big box stores and online, but ultimately I needed education and guidance. The camera I purchased is a joy to use, much more suited to my needs than my my well priced box store camera. They were able to direct me to their buy back retailers to sell my former camera. I was also excited to hear that they have an education program. They host photography classes, camera specific user groups and field trips. I went in recently to look at tripods, and the staff was amazing. They spent time with me and answered all my questions. They gave helpful advice knowing what kind of photography I do, and found the products that exactly matched my needs. Steve H., another man, and lady were all very helpful. I have also had prints made here, and they all turned out beautifully, they are gallery quality. I just called the store and the women I spoke with first sent me to another line to see if they had the batteries I need for an older camera I Just bought and after I had finished asking about the two batteries that fit the camera the Man on the other line responded very rudely to all my questions as well as hung up on me while in the middle of a follow up question.
