Trying to squeeze your vehicle though the gate at the same time as another vehicle is trying to leave the entrance to the farm is quite a feat. Once we parked, it was $10.00 per person to enter the craft fair, which I didn't mind because the money helps keep the farm in good shape. There were a lot of stain glass, jewelry, photographs, paintings, metal and clay artists showing their wares. Prices for things seemed super high for what they were, but I understand they are trying to make a living. There was live music, food tents and food trucks also. We spent 1 1/2 hours there maybe, had a couple hotdogs, and left without purchasing anything. The farm is huge, and I would like to return some day to walk around the grounds, but not during the craft show.

I love that it's a bit out of the way of the downtown area so you can park and relax in a beautiful setting. We started with cocktails and drank them outside while admiring the beautiful property, i highly recommend getting there before your reservation so you can enjoy a drink on a nice day outside! I got the Tideline cocktail and substituted the tequila for mezcal after the bartender suggested it and wow! A great drink and i was impressed how fast the service was. Once we sat down inside we ordered a lovely Gamay for the table, you really can't go wrong with any of the wines on the menu they have a great selection. We ordered quite a few dishes to share between the three of us and the server brought them out in a 3 course style per her suggestion. We started with the citrus and fennel salad and grilled raddichio and these were both so fresh and delicious, we had to leftover vegetables this were exceptional. Then came the asparagus pizza, pork and beef meatballs, and the focaccia as our second course. We almost skipped the focaccia- that would have been a huge mistake. That is a must order, the texture was biscuit like and the seasonal flavored butter was divine. The pizza was really blowing us away with the white sauce and the chili crisp combination. The dough is so light and crispy as well it was wonderful. The meatballs were huge! and came with delicious grilled sourdough. The pasta and lamb shank came out next and at this point we couldn't see how it could get any better but then it did! The lamb shank is huge and cooked so beautifully. The pastas were definitely the standout bites of the course. The carbonara noodles are thick and cooked perfectly and the sauce is so rich a creamy. The Tortelli pasta was my favorite, the pockets stuffed with a gooey filling and the fava beans added a great texture to the dish. We were in carb heaven. We somehow were able to fit dessert in and i'm so glad we did not skip it. We ordered espresso martinis to accompany and this is without a doubt the best espresso martini i have ever had. We substituted tequila and they were completely delicious. I don't remember exactly what the names of the desserts were that we got but one was a a chocolate mousse with a peanut butter sauce and crunchy peanuts which was so yummy. But the favorite of the table was the pistachio one. It was like an ice cream bar with crunchy pistachios on it. Get this one if you go! This was an unforgettable meal from service to food. The staff is incredible and really treat you wonderfully and the food is so good i really didn't expect it to blow me away as much as it did. This is a place i'm going to have to come back to again and again.

My wife went with their Lavender Haze, a lavender gin based drink while I went a unique savory option of Baby Carrot, a vodka based cocktail that was definitely orange like carrots and even had carrot garnish. Both were phenomenal with my wife finding a new favorite with the Lavender Haze. After trying those we decided on splitting a chicken pesto pizza. It came out cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of char & crisp. The crust was soft and pillowy enough so that my wife who typical skips out on eating the crust but she enjoyed all of her crust. Really well made pizza and look forward to trying even more versions in the future. Before leaving we wanted an additional cocktail to end the night. I went with the espresso martini which they offer black or with cream. While my wife got a Tiramisu Martini which was kinda a riff on the espresso martini. We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the barn the night before our wedding. Being from California, we wanted to have an "Aloha" theme to keep the vibe casual. Shannon worked closely with us to customize a menu and help us with decorations. She was so supportive and blew our minds with the creativity in the menu and drink options. She also partnered with us to work within our budget. Since we had to plan our wedding from across the country, communication with a lot of our vendors proved to be very tough. But NOT Shannon. She was quick to reply to all of our emails, and always put us in the best mood. In such a stressful process, we could always rely on Shannon and staff to make us feel at ease. And the food, WOW. Our 40 guests for dinner were raving over how amazing everything was. And after the dinner, we opened up the barn for about 100 people to come in for the "Welcome Party." At the welcome party, Shannon worked with us to customize cocktails and create a "California" themed taco station. Every single detail was delectable. The Red Barn was the first venue we looked at. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony, outdoor space for cocktail hour, and a beautiful, big room. The Red Barn checked all the boxes. We put down our deposit the very next day as we knew this was a venue we did not want to sleep on! Planning was SO easy and straightforward. As soon as we booked, we got set up with the amazing Alex, who was going to be our day of coordinator. She was communicative, helpful, and patient. She responded quickly to every annoying query I had, she kept us updated with our timeline of planning, and she was understanding when oopsie- we missed the tasting we were supposed to go to. She graciously set us up at the next one with no questions or drama. The planning process was very smooth due to Alex's expertise. The rehearsal was stress free and straightforward. The day of our wedding was more than we could ask for. Literally everything went to plan due to Alex being so on top of everything. She was kind to the many personalities in both of our families and felt more like a friend to us by the end of night. I cannot say enough good things about the Red Barn as a venue for a wedding. It is absolutely gorgeous, I feel like we did not need too many decorations as the venue itself is stunning. The food was delicious! During cocktail hour, it felt like there were so many servers with so much food, on top of the stunning cheese and fruit display. The kitchen was also very helpful and sensitive to the allergies in our group- one being my husband who had a nut allergy. The drinks and bartenders were fabulous- we told Alex that our group drank a lot of espresso martinis and the bartenders were ready when we started ordering them. AND they were delicious to boot. The staff was fabulous! All of the servers were professional and personable. The price for everything and the many options for food and drink were well suited to many budgets. I could gush for many more paragraphs about how amazing this venue is. Alex and the crew have made the Red Barn into a well-oiled machine. I cannot say anything bad about our experience and I know I can attribute that to them. Our guests are still talking about our venue months later. If you want to have the most amazing wedding day at a beautiful venue with wonderful people, do yourself a favor and book the Red Barn. You will not regret it.
