Had an emergency early Sunday morning at 730am. We called another company due to doing previous business with them. They never called us back. Called Johnson Electrical and within 20 minutes they called and came over. What a knowledgeable and respectful electrician. He worked from 2pm until 930pm to get the job done. We lost power in only part of our house. We ruled out any problems coming into the house and traced as many wires as possible but couldn't figure out the problem. We called Johnson Electric to help, they were at our house first thing the next morning. I was hesitant as I am with all contractors, we'd tried everything we could think of, I was expecting an all day repair and a work around. What I got was a very capable electrician who was also friendly and our service restored in 2 hours. Ronnie did everything he could to identify the problem and resolved it quickly. I had this fellow come to my house and give me a price on replacing the electric meter box on the side of my house as it was making sizzling noises and lights and fans inside the house were surging. NIMO told me it needed replacing. The fellow came and gave me a price that I thought was high, but I agreed to it as I took at face value the mans honor, integrity and professionalism. He gave me a date about a week away and said he couldn't come any sooner. The day came and he was a no show. Need I say that's about as bad as you can get running a business. Anyhow, Jeff Moore electric did the job a few days later for ONE HALF THE PRICE. I thank God for intervening somehow and protecting me from a ripoff artist! read more

On Saturday, June 30, 2018 at about 7:00pm, our main breaker tripped and the panel was so hot you couldn't touch it. I needed an electrician so I located this company doing a search for electricians in Troy, NY. I called and Joe Johnson answered and said that because of the timing, the call would be $150. What was I to do, we needed an electrician. Joe came within 1/2 and ran testing on the box. He said the incoming voltage was too high and called NationalGrid and put in a service call for me and wound up charging $100. I was happy. He said if NationalGrid found that there was a different problem to call him. We had to wait until 1:30 am for NationalGrid, they said the incoming voltage was fine and that there was something bad in the panel and we needed to call back the electrician . The panel was cool at this time so we reset the main and since the panel didn't seem to be heating up, they said we could leave it on, but if it tripped again, we shouldn't reset it until the electrician repaired it. I'm 66, my husband is 74 and my mother is 87 all with heart problems. The main tripped again at about 10am on Sunday, July 1, 2018. I called Joe and he said he would check his shop to see if he had a replacement breaker and would call me right back. At 2:15pm when I still hadn't received a call back, I called him and the call went right to voice-mail. It is now almost 8:00 pm and I have still not received that, "I'll call you right back." I think it is awful to leave customers hanging, especially when they are senior citizens and the temperature is well over 95%. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more
