We used John Usilton for running new service in an existing home for air conditioning. While he was…read morehere, we added work to re-wire some lights and install a new plug. We expected lots of drywall dust and lots of repair following his work but there was virtually no cleanup at all needed and what was needed was addressed by him. Further, when we didn't like the exact location of the plug, he came back almost immediately and moved it at his expense. I think this went beyond expectations for a time and material job when we could have exactly specified the location of the plug. The overall price for all of the work was lower than the range we were told by the AC company to expect. Overall, excellent work and service. We will use him again.

I also wanted to get it upgraded from a 100 amp to a 200 amp panel in case I wanted to add some 200v appliances down the road. I asked for a quote for both and the price difference was negligible and I went I went with the 200 amp panel. I have a stucco house which means they needed to cut out the panel and some surrounding stucco to get the old one out. Instead of hiring a stucco company to respray they trimmed the new panel out with nice trim wood and it looks great. They scheduled an appointment with me and showed up right at the beginning of my two hour time window, they got right to work and my power was off not even a full workday. They worked quick and really clean. They needed to move some items in my garage to get to the back wall and were very careful with my stuff, and placed everything back when they were finished. You'd never have known they were there. Both employees were clean and professional, very polite and easy to talk with. They came back a few days later when I was able to schedule a return visit to ask a few questions and button up a few last minute details. Each time they arrived on time and got right to work. The receptionist is very friendly and she was very helpful anytime we talked. The whole team at Alpha cleary cares and wants to do great work and I'm happy to say I feel they did for me and I would recommend them to anyone.

Ugh, I wish I had called someone else!…read more Competitive plumbing is now owned by Mark Wallace Plumbing. Mark and his son Jordan are very nice and skilled plumbers. However, my biggest complaint is their terrible lack of communication! I was never sure if they were going to show up or not. They were difficult to get a hold of on the phone, did not return calls or text messages and were not clear when they were coming by. They took weeeeeeks to install a shower handle due to issues unrelated to them. They were trying to get an extension piece which never fit so they ended up jerry-rigging the valve without sealing it properly and did it all janky! I had to have another plumber come and fix it! The last few times they came by they just made me feel bad complaining about the tile guy and what a bad job he did (I thought he did great!). I just got fed up and wanted the job done and them gone. I regret calling them in the first place!
