I was a patient for years -,before pandemic they were helpful, interested in actually solving skin issues. But I left them because they began to hurry visits, no longer listened - even when what they suggest isn't working (and I stumble on something that gave results). The doctor was more concerned I was not following her home treatment, and inappropriately commented "so you will do what you want" in a horrific snippish tone. I was insulted and felt disrespected. I was not trying to outdo the doctor, but communicate I think a year is enough time to see if what they suggest works, or we need to go another route. That was my last visit. They were also losing control of timely billing. They'd never notify me, then suddenly would say I owe $5. I'd ask for a copy of billing which seemed a difficult request - where did suddenly this balance due come, when I'm paying cash each visit? it happened once, and I let it go. when it happened a second time (also concurrent with last visit) I firmly let them know they need to get things together. I got another paper bill again for $5, months later... inexcusable for cash patients. What is sad is I eemver they can be very good, and now it's getting patients like cattle and getting frustrated as those of us who want to understand our own care, especially if you have any history with past procedures that didn't work. I scar very easily, and the doctor was completely dismissive of this, which to me was borderline negligence. Again - this all happened during my last visit. I will never darken their door again, and no longer recommend them to anyone. read more

My first visit they shredded my paperwork by mistake I sat for hours but I gave them another chance I was a patient for years but they kept writing me on the portal for a payment they didn't receive from insurance I put tracer on it for months I kept calling and honestly it made me have chest pains dealing with it ..and come to find out they gave me the wrong date over and over ..I finally gave up and found a new doctor it's to hard to deal with insurance and them they don't have it together read more

I have good luck with them. I think they are pretty aggressive and don't let things wait until next visit. They have removed several spots on me. I have seen several docs there. Honey is my usual and I think she is very good and easy to talk to. read more

Worst experience ever the lady had a horrible attitude and didn't help at all. She told me to rub head and shoulders all over my body and hope it goes away. I have something bad wrong with my skin and that's all she said she could do. I do not recommend them to anyone they just try to push you threw as fast as they can with little to no real help. I brought my 12 year old for an initial visit today. I must say how thoroughly impressed I am with this practice! My child has moderate social anxiety and they were very good at communicating and explaining everything to her in detail. The staff is polite, prompt, professional and efficient. This practice runs more smoothly than any other physicians office we have visited in this area. Thank you for helping us get through this difficult problem. I HIGHLY recommend!! read more

I had a mole taken off a few years ago and was not informed that it could grow back and be even larger. The scar it left is almost as bad as the mole itself. I went to see a different dermatologist a couple years later who said they don't remove based on cosmetic reasons alone and they would most likely regrow...wow nice to know. The dr I saw at JD was very nice but obviously incompetent. They lady who saw me first was a complete jerk for no reason. They are very much a let's run you through and get the money from you as quick as we can kind of place. They do not care about their patients. read more

I came to this dermatology center around 3 years ago before I had a dermatologist where I live in LA now, and while all the staff is super cool and nice, they completely scarred my body and I'm super self conscious about it. I've never really decided to write a review until now, because it might help someone else. I had a mole taken off on my leg b/c the doctor thought it might be cancerous, and then she said she can take up to 4 moles off in one visit, so if there were any that I didn't like or wanted removed, she'd take them off. She said they would just leave a small white circular scar, and I've had a mole taken off before and it's just a white circle, so I didn't worry about it. I wish I wouldn't have had any of them taken off. They left bigger scars than the moles themselves, and the mole on my stomach still had some mole still in it, so I went back and she punched out a finger circumference sized hole and then sewed it up. When I got my stitches out in LA, they said it looked super weird, and I doctored it and continued to put scar medication on it, and it still remains a scar - 3 years later - in the stitch format that she sewed. It's a light brown type of color, and you can see every single stitch that she sewed in the scar. It looks like I have a spider living in it. I've been able to reduce the appearance as much as I can. The photos attached don't even do it justice. Anyway, I've never been so self conscious about something, and now this doctor (I can't remember the name, but I'll post it when I remember) who was supposed to help me, actually created an everlasting issue for me. Hopefully some day when I make more money, I can have reconstructive surgery on it and you won't be able to see it. Bottom line, never go here, and even though I grew up in Arkansas, I never want to go to a doctor in Arkansas ever again. Oh and by the way, I'm 28, and I was 25 at the time she did it, so she scarred my body young. :( ***I would like to note that the doctor was super nice and friendly and super cool, but none of that matters if you don't do a good job, you know? Also, morally speaking, if she noticed that she did a horrible job, then she should've told me she'd reconstruct it for free, or offer something to conceal the scar. I don't think she's a horrible person, but I now have to live with a scar that haunts me, and she's enjoying my cash. read more

Thorough! It is a well-run clinic that provides wonderful clinical care with an absolute customized care. The doctors and nurses always listen and try to find the best solution for your issues. I have been a continual patient for over a decade receiving both dermatological and cosmetic services. I've never had an issue up until today when the cosmetic PA told me that I could find another place to service me if I didn't like the way she had set up her services. Everyone else has always been friendly, but as a cosmetic patient of more than ten years they should know that customer service and word of mouth is extremely important. Shame. read more

Dr. Sandy's bedside manner was so warm and caring. She did a wonderful job, and I'm extremely happy with my procedure. These ladies made me feel extra special. Disappointing. I discourage anyone to use Dr Johnson for cosmetic reasons. If you do go in and it seems he is in a rush, don't use. His so called bedside manners speaks volumes to his interest level of helping you with your concerns. After discussion, a day later I was called by Dr Johnson and asked to call back to talk to him about our consult. Called back got Kyi who put Dr Johnson on a pedestal and played defense to try to keep me from talking to him even though his message to me said to call back to discuss with him. Kyi's tone of voice and lack of interests in me as a human being with feelings let alone as a possible patient seem to speak to the culture of this office. I changed my tone to match hers, she put me on hold, and Dr Johnson came on. He told me he wasn't qualified to do the procedure he recommended. Since he told me on his voice message he could recommend someone I ask who and suddenly he stumbled and had no good answer. WOW, maybe he did me a favor by turning me down.
