Had a broken tooth and needed a crown. Dr Lamb and their assistant did a very good job. Pretty pain free, professional and friendly staff.

I went once needing cleaning, exam, x-rays. Dr. Johnson did a hurried exam and never discussed it, was in a hurry. A hygienist did x-rays, just panoramic, no bitecwings. I got sort of bumped during the panoramic. My teeth were cleaned quickly with ultrasound, nothing in-depth. I needed a lot of work, which I expected, but I was very turned off by the hurried ness of DR. Johnson. Later I found a dentist I trusted. He was not able to see a section of my tooth roots in the x-ray from Johnson so had to redo ex rays. There was no excuse for a dentist not to answer a few questions or talk with a patient with so many dental problems and just leave the building. Surely, there's a lack of empathy and insight to hand over a plan with prices and flee. Lol read more

Dental: First two visits were fine. Dr. Lanb is very good and cares. BUYER/PATIENT BEWARE: it's the third trip for a simple cleaning 'NOT SO GOOD'. THE ADMIN STAFF IS TERRIBLE!!! Two visits ago as 'new' patients,I had emailed and did all necessary online paperwork. Brought in a Medical Power of Attorney and Medical Release of info for my wife with Alzheimer. Explained at the first visit with Johnson Dental, a blonde about a previous 'bad dental business' in Green Valley tried marketing and upselling my Alzheimer spouse for things not covered under insurance. I explained to that 'BAD' dentist that's why I am sitting here listening to their exam. That dentist didn't like it!!!... when told, "I am the one that approves her treatments." At Johnson, Told the 'blonde' that checked us in we don't want that happening here at Johnson Dental. She said she understands and was glad I brought the 'power's of attorney' to clear my sweethearts treatments with me. So this 'blonde' said it would be included in the records. So, guess what!!!, the teeth cleaner today did an 'UPSELL' while I was in the waiting area!!! When I made it clear about my approval was needed for ANY OF MY WIFE's care!!! THERE WAS NO APOLOGY, nothing!!! Just was told it's not covered under insurance and needed to pay the balance!!! Then the gal today said she would flag the account...blah-blah-blah and stated, "they know the rules about 'power of attorney' and would note the account. Then I told her, "If you know the rules to follow what happened today then?!!!" She was rude and simply didn't respond. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!!! So 'buyer/patient BEWARE. My wife has to get a bridge done and I also need work. So we will see how it goes. Really hard to put trust in any of these 'local' medical practice's. FYI, I am a retired 'border officer' and have caught 9 month graduates of Pima County Community College, with stolen identity information of patients in medical offices from Green Valley, after I have searched vehicles at the Nogales Port's of Entry. They were selling the identity's in Mexico for $$$, highest bidder for illegal entrants and crossing smugglers. I really hope this isn't one of those medical offices. New patient, wanted cleaning and exam. I didn't want to do the gum scoring because I am on blood thinners and poking my gums at every tooth was something I didn't want. The hygienist summoned the dentist and he essentially told me the reason my previous dentist didn't do this was I'd been going to him for 35 years. No explanation, no alternative, no cleaning. Been a client here for 10 years. Had 3 techs for 9 years. Now they've grown to the point that instead of getting the same tech each time, you schedule with one tech and that's silently changed without notice to the patient. I am admittedly a high-maintenance patient, as my tolerance for mouth pain is low. I would think 10 years of patronage would be valued and I could keep the same tech, but if they have plenty of demand, that may not be important. I'm shopping. read more

Stay away from this dental clinic. They will not disclose other dental procedures that are needed. They will take the impressions required to get them out to the lab they use. They want to get paid up front. After over 6 weeks, they still don't have the dentures I need to complete my resorations. read more

Kathy did a deep cleaning for my upper molars . I was quite nervous and considered canceling the appointment. Kathy listened to my concerns and recommended a gel instead of Novacane injection. It worked well and wore off within 30-45 minutes after the cleaning. She was efficient and explained every step of the process. I'm hoping for good long term results. Thanks Kathy! read more

I want to give a shout-out to Johnson Dental. Just finished getting a crown, When I had my initial visit 2 weeks ago I was told I needed a crown and possible a root canal. They gave me the estimate for both work I expected to pay for both. When he dug out the tooth, he said I was lucky and only needed the Crown. This saved me about $500 dollars over the estimate. Not many Dentist would do this. He one of the only honest dentist. read more
