He then lied to the other owner who started it gaslighting me and literally hung up the phone. I am furious and I will never be going back. Willy checked with me prior to doing the alignment and lowered the tire pressure before checking the alignment. My AC wasn't able to simply be recharged as it had a broken component. Brian took time to explain how the AC worked and explained why it would be an expensive repair if I chose to repair it. My vehicle is 10 years old and isn't a daily driver so it's debatable if it makes sense to repair the AC. I appreciated Willy and Brian's willingness to show me what was wrong and clearly explain possible courses of action in the future, while making sure my vehicle was safe to drive as it was.

I went in for an oil change, tire rotation, state inspection and also I sent a list of some items I was concerned about. Mainly the rust. I knew my old friend was in rough shape and wasn't under any misapprehension that it could be returned to its youth. In addition I had a constantly illuminated brake light which is never a good sign. Also a check engine light. I was flexible and left my car there on a Sunday night- Willing for it to be there all week. It was extremely difficult to reach the shop all week. The number on the website led to a full voicemail box. Eventually I was contacted. At the end of the week for 400$ I got an oil change (supposedly), new spark plugs and a state inspection sticker. Nothing else on my list was attended to for that whole week. He said the rust was pretty bad but that didn't stop him from offering to put OEM brakes on the vehicle for $1000. I drove the car home and of course the previously cleared brake light and engine light light right back up like a Christmas tree. (They were just cleared for inspection). My brake fluid reservoir kept leaking and I kept filling it. I took the car to a neighborhood shop. They looked at it, free of charge, and said (direct quote) "It is definitely not worth fixing. The master cylinder is leaking brake fluid. The brake lines are rotted off. The engine is soaking wet with oil. You've got a total brake failure. Whoever gets in that thing is going to kill themselves." So thanks for the offer to put on OEM brakes for $1000, though. I'm glad I didn't die driving home from Norwood. I ended up junking it.
