He also recently saved my sanity when an electric surge took out our home's electrical panel ($2k), both our HVAC systems ($30k !), and our pool's control hub right before a major heat wave hit. John was able to take a look at the pool the next day and determined that, yes, it was most definitely fried BUT he rewired the pump so that it can be controlled manually for the rest of the season and we could punt the approximate $2k replacement cost to next year, if needed. John told me, "I got your pool working and clean so you can spend the weekend floating and drinking margaritas to try and forget about all the shit." John is a goddamn hero.

I brought several contractors in to asses the work I needed done and these guys felt right. They were considerate, hard working, showed up when they said they would and did an amazing job! They painted, removed wallpaper, installed a half wall, removed a built in bookshelf, helped to make two bathrooms presentable by replacing toilets, sinks, fixtures, and just made the house nice again. Worth every penny. When I need more work done, I will be giving them a call.

Terry is friendly and knowledgeable and although my house is over a 100 years old, he has always known how to perform a project I've given him. He has replaced an old door, installed storm doors, resealed our porch roof, installed a new rubber roof, fixed multiple leaks in the roof, enclosed our back porch into a mudroom (including installing new vinyl windows), installed a fence in the yard, some minor landscaping, replaced cracked plaster ceilings with all new drywall ceilings in 3 rooms, a lot of painting work, and fixed 2 electrical outlets by running new wire. I might be missing some things, but he's practically given our house an overhaul. I've even been able to call Terry and asked for advice for some things around the house I could do myself. I honestly can't say how his rates compare with other handymen, because after the first couple jobs, I felt comfortable enough to go to Terry for any work in the house.
