Dr Khan was the first person I ran into! Who was super friendly! The girls at the reception desk are also sooo kind and called me ahead of time to make sure I knew the cost. Great communication all around. Dr Whiting came out and introduced himself and answered my questions. Dr Khan put me to sleep within 2 mins and then Dr Whiting did the work while Dr. Khan Babysat me. Numerous patients described unexpected charges, insurance verification issues, difficulties obtaining documentation, poor communication, inconsistent billing information, lack of follow-up, and feeling left without clear answers. Reading those reviews made me realize that my concerns regarding financial transparency and documentation may not be as isolated as I initially hoped. For that reason, I believe it is important for prospective patients to do their research before committing to treatment. Read the reviews carefully. Ask questions. Request copies of your financial estimate, treatment plan, insurance verification, and any documentation supporting your financial responsibility before authorizing treatment. I also continue to await the documentation I requested regarding my own account. If the office remains unwilling or unable to provide the records necessary to explain how my additional balance was determined, I will be filing formal complaints with the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners and requesting that my insurance carrier review the insurance verification and billing process associated with my treatment.
