Ask the Community - John's Cycle

Anybody know if he could work on both a Yamaha V-Star and a Harley?

I would say yes but would just be assuming. Every time I've been there there's everything from Scooters to touring bikes in various stages of repair and some are complete tear downs. Give him a call, he returns all messages.

I finally stopped in to meet the owner, James, and right away I could tell this place was different. He took the time to come out, look over my bike with me, talk through what I wanted, and get everything scheduled without any pressure. One thing that really stood out was their communication. They use a text and email system for appointments, which makes everything simple and organized. During the job, James even reached out with a question about how I wanted something installed. He sent photos and followed up with a call to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it done--that level of attention is rare. From start to finish, the service was excellent. James and Danielle genuinely care about their customers, and it shows. It's that small-shop, personal experience you just don't get at most dealerships, where you can feel more like a number than a customer. They completed the work on time, the pricing was fair, and the quality was top-notch. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending 5K Oil to friends who want their bikes handled the right way.

As someone new to the motorcycle world, I was nervous about needing repairs on my Z650--but Tyler made the whole experience smooth, easy, and educational. He's incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and he took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense to me--not just seasoned riders. Tyler ordered all the necessary parts, kept me updated throughout the process, and even gave me honest advice about future maintenance, like when to consider new tires or my next oil change. He's upfront about any potential risks or wear, and his communication is excellent--always responsive and clear. I dropped my bike off on a Saturday and had it back by Tuesday, fully repaired, cleaned, and detailed. His attention to detail and customer service are top-notch.
