This was our first time hiring a bartender for an event and we did not know what to expect. John turned out to be the perfect addition to our daughter's graduation party! He sent us a clear checklist of items to get before the party, communicated with us throughout, showed up on time and got set up quickly. He was incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to ensure our 75 guests were well taken care of. He was so good and patient with the kids who wanted to try out all kinds of combinations of juice and soda :-). In between drinks, he cleared out plates from tables, took out the trash and walked around with a tray passing out water. I highly recommend John for any event, I know I will be hiring them again for my next event. read more

Just wow! I hired John for my an outdoor couples wedding shower and just do not have enough great things to say about him. He went over and beyond - helping clear plates after lunch, passing out waters as it was pretty warm. He didn't stay stationary at the bar/table we had set up. When there was a bit of a lull he walked the crowd asking if anyone needed anything... and pretty confident he remembered every one's name. He exceeded any expectations that I had and can't wait to host another party and we'll absolutely have John back! read more

We used John for our Halloween party! He was the best! He arrived early, set up and which allowed me to finish getting ready for the party. He dressed for the festive evening and all! He was excellent about communicating before the event and was helpful with getting me exactly what I needed for the signature cocktails. I was always able to get a hold of him and his responses were quick. He was very helpful with planning, professional, paid attention to detail and was courteous to my guests. They were all raving about him! I was impressed with his follow through correspondence. He caters to your every bartending need! I highly recommend him for your next party. Having him there really allowed me to have an enjoyable time with our friends and took the stress away from having to serve and keep everybody happy. He was the best, I won't do another party with out him! read more

I highly recommend John's Bartending Services! I hired Lisa and Janet to bartend my organization's event and they were absolutely amazing! They blew my expectations out of the water. For starters, John is extremely friendly, responded to all my queries very quickly, and helped me pick my drink menu. On the day of the event, they were professional, on time, friendly, did a great job entertaining and serving the guests, and helped with set up/clean up. You can't go wrong with John's Bartending Services! I would recommend them for anyone who is looking for exceptional service. I can't wait to work with them again! read more

John was wonderful to work with and the bartender, Grace, was outstanding. She was a huge help throughout the party.

I, along with my husband, hosted a Celebration of Life dinner event yesterday at our home honoring my late father. Many family members were unable to attend the military internment in Florida last month and so I hoped to enable those in the Chicago area to have a meal together and share our happy memories. But our guest list of 32 was going to stretch our hosting capacity and I knew we would be too busy to speak with anyone present and simultaneously set up the buffet, provide drinks, do the considerable post meal clean up and so on. I read umpteen 5 star reviews of John's Bartending Services and decided to hire him and his wife--he tended bar and every aspect of beverage serving, she dealt with everything related to multiple food items, and they overlapped duties if one was busier than the other. At the end of the event, buoyed by our enjoyment of an effortless experience, we both wanted to do a commercial for this outstanding, friendly, professional, and intuitive team. Kudos and thank you to John and Janet! read more

We used John and his wife to bartend for a birthday party of close to 100 people that we had at our home last weekend. They were absolutely superb. Professional, efficient, friendly, accommodative, helpful and honest. These are all words that come immediately to mind. Even our guests were impressed as more than a handful made a point of positively commenting about our bartenders. They really helped make it an enjoyable party and we will use them again at our next bash. read more

I hired John and his team for a graduation party. Cannot say enough about how great their services were. Right as the party was about to start, it began to storm and John was as cool as could be and just rearranged everything to be able to provide the services under a covered patio. He was always very friendly and the help he had with him was outstanding. At the end of the party, there was no clean up to do and you would not have even have known that we had 100 people at our house. Would highly recommend them. read more

Fantastic bartender! Stop looking for a bartender this guy is amazing. He made sure no one was thirsty and in my opinion, went above and beyond the job. read more

John helped us with a baptism we had at our home. We were apprehensive about using a service at first, but I can't imagine the party without him and his team. The helped in so many ways that they made it feel as though we were guests at our own party. John is very professional, and very reasonably priced for all the value he adds. I would not hesitate to use him again and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone having an event! Thank you John!!! read more

We recently hosted a large Halloween party at our home and decided that hiring a bar tender(s) would really help our guests (and us) have a good time that night. I found John's Bartending Services through Yelp and, after reading the stellar reviews, decided to contact him. John and his team are the best! From the very beginning, John was on top of all communications and incredibly organized. Plus, throughout the entire process, I got a sense that nothing makes John and his team happier than going above and beyond expectations. John was already working a different event the night of our party, so Janet (his wife) and Holli were our bartenders that evening. Janet and Holli are the best! They made sure our guests had whatever they wanted to drink - even running up and down to get mixed drinks or anything from the basement bar so guests didn't have to leave the outside patio - checking on the food, helping throw out used plates/glasses and more. They were both so lovely and our guests adored them. Plus they took stellar care of us too, and we enjoyed actually being able to enjoy our party instead of running around all night trying to make sure everyone had everything they needed. John even stopped by after his event was done to make sure we were happy and to help Janet and Holli pack up for the night. Truly top notch customer service all around and great people. We've had lots of requests for a repeat party next year, and if we do, we'll definitely reach out to John's Bartending Service again to help out. read more

John and his wife Janet are amazing people! We worked with John to set up all the details for my husbands 50th birthday party held in my home. John was extremely informative from what they offer (which is the best Bartending around) to ingredients I would need...and Janet would do the rest! I am a former bartender/server for many years and I was very impressed at how detailed they both are, how great Janet's Bartending skills were, and how extremely pleasant and personable she was throughout the night. All my friends and family adored her! I would hire them again and again!!! read more

Yet another success story!!! All thanks to John!!! Just had a very large couples bridal shower at my home. I could not have pulled it off without John. As always he arrived early and so prepared. I highly recommend his services to anyone who is having any sort of party. He really allows us (my husband and I) to enjoy our guests. Not to mention our drinks were always filled up mysteriously. That's my kind of party! Then he also walks around picking up plates, taking out the garbage and offering cold waters to everyone. We will never have a party without John!! read more

I hired John to bartend for my wife's surprise 40th birthday party. I have always been a non-drinker and know very little about serving drinks. John was incredibly helpful advising me what to buy, quantities, etc. John was super professional, both in pre-event communications and at the party. I was beyond pleased with his staff during my event, as were my guests. We will absolutely be having him back out for future parties, and I would highly recommend him or any of his staff! read more

I reached out to John as I was looking for a bartender for my 30th birthday party and read the positive reviews on this page. I'm so glad I did as the experience could not have been better! While he was personally already booked, he sent one of his colleagues. Prior to the event, he sent me a list of everything he'd suggest I get for the bar and was very communicative and helpful. The day of, his colleague arrived on time, was so friendly and very professional. It was great having her help set everything up. She remembered what guests were drinking and was truly a pleasure. I'd highly recommend working with John and I would gladly contact him for a future event! read more

John was extremely professional from start to finish. I'm glad I discovered him on Yelp and booked him. He bartended for a surprise 50th birthday party at my home. He did a super amazing job with just over 80 guests. I received a lot of compliments from my guests on John's service, drinks and his thoughtfulness for taking out water to my guests, making sure everyone stayed hydrated as well as remembering people's drinks and he also cleaned up. Some of our family and friends asked where I found him so they can hire his services for their parties. A great find! We can't wait for our next party to have John bar tend again! read more

John was great from start to finish! He emailed me list of stuff to get, and helped with minor modifications needed. On day of party, he was arrived early, setup and rocked !! My fiance and I recently hired John's Bartending Services for a house warming party in the city. They met all our expectations, and then some. Prior to the event, John was quick to respond to emails and provided us with a list of items to procure for the party. The day of, his team member arrived early, assisted with setting up, poured drinks, and helped with anything we needed to keep the party running smoothly. Throughout the experience, they were nothing but professional. We also thought their pricing was very reasonable. If you need a bartender, I would recommend John's Bartending Services. read more

John and Janet came to our house over the weekend for a party for 50+ guests, and we were very impressed with both of them. John worked as the bartender and Janet made sure we as hosts were having fun instead of working ourselves. They worked the room like savvy veterans, picking up dishes, handing out drinks, and keeping the room tidy and organized. We contacted them based on Yelp reviews, and after my husband spoke to John on the phone, it was clear that we were going to move forward with them. We are extremely happy we did, as they were really, really good. We hope to use them again in the future. read more

We hired John for our Christmas party last week. From the very beginning he was prompt and responsive in our initial inquiry through my numerous questions and finally at the party. He was extremely professional and friendly. We were thrilled with how everything turned out. John was fantastic with our guests and we received numerous compliments on his service (including remembering peoples drinks and actively walking around for drink requests and water bottles). Thank you so much for going above and beyond all expectations. I would happily recommend his services to our friends and families. One of the biggest benefits to hiring John was the fact that he actually made it seem like we were at a party versus hosting a party. I think we are spoiled now! He was also very flexible when we kept adding more time. Look no further! read more

What amazing service John provided at our party for st Patrick's Day 3/16. From email first contact, to booking, to confirming, arriving early, bringing kit of helpful bar tools, making quality drinks, cleaning up...everything about his service was outstanding. Also his service is a good value also for the service provided. No wonder he has so many 5 star reviews, it's obvious now that I've hired him! read more

I hired John's Bartending Services and had an outstanding experience. We were lucky enough to have Grace both times, and I would highly recommend her! read more

John bartended for our wedding party for about 80 people and we couldn't have been happier with him! He served a menu of 6 cocktails which we had pre-determined. From the very beginning John showed his true professionalism through all of our phone and e-mail correspondences leading up to the event. Upon arrival, he had the bar set up in about 15 minutes with all of the various liquors, mixers, and garnishes. Throughout the party he was friendly, fast, efficient, clean, and mixed up some very consistent, tasty cocktails. He fulfilled everything that was expected of him, but what really impressed us were the little touches that were unexpected... John keeps very busy while he's working. I never saw him sitting around during lulls in the ordering - not that I would've even consciously minded if he had been. When he wasn't serving drinks he was hustling around with a tray bussing empty cups, bringing around glasses of water, cleaning...never asked him to do any of that, by the way, he took it upon himself to do it. He is attentive to say the least, but even more than that he is intuitive to the needs of the guests - and the hosts! He seemed to have a sixth sense about when I needed something and magically appeared with it. A glass of water when I was thirsty, a fresh cocktail just as I found myself in need of one; at one point he actually appeared out of nowhere with a napkin just as I had accidentally taken a particularly messy bite of pizza and found myself with pizza sauce all over my face. I don't even think the thought that I needed a napkin had fully formed in my mind before the napkin had suddenly appeared in his outstretched hand. Like I said, intuitive! He offered to stay as long as we needed him. He cleaned up before he left, and organized all of the bottles into opened and closed containers. Just before John left he said a very cordial goodbye and followed up with an equally cordial e-mail to thank us for hiring him and to check up and make sure we were satisfied; which, of course, we were! Great, professional bartender! Hire this man for your next party! read more

John and Janet bartended a surprise anniversary party for my parents at our home and I could not recommend them more highly. John was helpful and communicative in the time leading up to the party, and during the event they were extraordinarily helpful and friendly without being overbearing. Several guests remarked how much they appreciated their service. I'd absolutely hire them again in the future. read more

John bartended for our baby shower (around 60-65 guests) and he could not have done a more outstanding job! He has a great balance of professionalism and personality that made him a big hit at the party. His drinks are made perfectly and he always goes out of his way to ensure everyone is enjoying the event. John is incredibly prepared for any requests that you have. He does it all! When John wasn't making drinks behind the bar, he was clearing tables, changing garbage bags, offering water and serving cake as well. It was as though we had hired 10 servers with all the extra help John provided. He is just amazing and will go above and beyond for your event! Everyone at the party was so impressed with John that they wanted his information for their future events. Do not look anywhere else, John is your guy! Thanks again John! read more
