When Bernhard bought the shop I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleased to see the new owner maintained the excellence and personal attention I was used to. I have a 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive truck that is lifted with 37/13.5/22 tires on 22 x12 wheels. The wheels were new, never had tires on them. I bought 4 Firestone Destination MT tires. These guys had a new tire machine that mounted the new tires on my wheels and the machine never touched the rim. I was impressed, no scratches are blemishes to my new wheels. I got 70.000 miles out of those tires...impressive. Recently I needed new tires so I called and ended up with another great set of tires that were balanced great, no vibration at all. Bernhard did a complete inspection on my truck showing pictures and video of the parts that were bad or going bad. When I paid for the tires there was another page that listed everything that needed attention and a quote for each item. What a great service. I have always done my own repairs and this let me know everything that needed attention to my truck. The best way to get the most milage out of a set of tires is 1. Make sure ALL front end parts are good, 2. maintain the correct tire pressure. 3. A scheduled tire rotation, I do mine every 5000 miles. Bernhard was worth the drive from Eureka to Columbia, Great Service Great price, and an excellent staff. Good people!! Thank You

This place is an awesome car repair shop. Tim, the owner, specializes in classic car restorations,…read morebut is available for general and in-depth repairs, maintenance, body work, painting, and just about any other service you would need for any year or make of car or truck. This is a hometown shop, and he has a stream of vehicles in and out weekly, so if you are considering having him repair or maintain your vehicle, expect to leave if there for a day or so. In my experience, he has never kept my cars over 3 days for repairs or maintenance. I would assume a restoration takes longer. He is always fair with labor and prices, and the work is expertly done. If you are looking for a local auto mechanic, Tim is your guy.

Was told job would take 2 weeks and 1 1/2 months later I was able to pick up and my truck. I cancelled the brake job and was told I would be refunded the cost of the brakes. I was shorted $400 on the refund due to "hidden costs" he magically created. Due to his wiring job, the headlights no longer work properly, there are issues with the motor and now the glove box is free floating and not attached. He claims he is a perfectionist but he left remnants of the old wiring, used after market parts, left parts dangling and created issues that did not previously exist. I would not recommend Radical Rod's to even put a chain on a bicycle!!!
