I first called to see if they had the material and to see if they can give me a quote through the phone. I had gone to two other local welding shops in Long Beach before I discovered Bear Welding. The first place had some offensive political stickers on their front door, so I turned around and left. The second place quoted a ridiculous price (more than 6 times what Bear Welding quoted me) and would not even guarantee that it would be welded straight. When I walked into Bear welding, I was greeted by friendly, knowledgeable people who knew exactly what I was trying to accomplish and how it needed to be done. The parts were ready the next day and were done right. I will go to Bear Welding for all of my future welding needs.

I own a pottery studio called clayonfirst in downtown Long Beach. The machine we use to mix clay…read moregot incredibly worn down over time and became unusable. It needed new T shaped arms and a v shaped fin fabricated and welded onto it. I ran around Long Beach and called different shops for 3-4 days trying to find someone who could do this work. Nobody would touch it. Eventually Eliseo was recommended to me by someone who worked at Phillips steel (solid reference). He turned it around in two days. I was really worried the shaft of the auger made of marine grade stainless steel would warp some when he welded it but I think it's spinning cleaner than it was before he welded it. The guy did an unbelievably good job that nobody else would touch at an incredibly reasonable price. I really appreciate what he did.

Gary was really knowledgeable, honest, and friendly! 10/10 recommend Gary's work!
