Place is a dump. The water pressure is terrible on the self serve bays. Machines don't even accept quarters

Good pressure and cleaned my truck very well!! I used the touch free option. All the other car washes had a big line, drive an extra 7 minutes for this car wash. Only waited a couple minutes, was well worth the extra time. We'll be back again! read more

Paid for service that included the undercarriage wash, pulled up and the machine that does the undercarriage is laying off to the side to were you either have to run it over with driver side tires or hug the right of the car wash, and the car is still dirty. The Number to call and complain and get my money money has been disconnected. I dont know what type of business the owner think he is running but this is complete trash. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else. read more

Living in a remote part of NEPA, I have to travel 25 miles to hit a "city" (Dickson City). The car definitely gets dirty. There are many Self-Serve places, and of course I can always get out the hose and bucket at home - but I'm a man of modern conveniences. Finally did some googling and found this self drive-thur not far from where I do my shopping (HD and Wegmans). Not bad. $14.00 for the "works". In comparison to what I get in Florida for $15.00, it's a good deal. The soft-cloth brushes pass over your car 3 times! Only once in FL. I feel cheated - lol. They have vacuums and self serve sprayers, if you like to do the work. Anyway, I now know where to go to get my vehicle cleaned up. read more

Johnny's Car Wash - Car Wash Near Me - Scranton, Pennsylvania

This is the worst car wash in the area. I have been coming here since it opened. Was always well maintained. They clearly have decided to abandon their customers. No soap comes out, brush barely has bristles. Don't use the automated because I've been charged several times for nothing. I was given a credit every time but won't use them. Sell the business to someone who will actually run it. Not one to do reviews but I'm done with this place. There wasn't a zero star option. read more

I WANT TO GIVE NO STARS!!! I just wanted to rinse my car from the dirt & rock salt. I paid $11 for the cheapest wash. The soft touch bay door wouldn't open. I called the number on the building. The voicemail is full and can't leave a message. I went to the self service bay (in 22 degrees) to rinse my car off. I looked at my bank this morning. It say's its a $4 wash. They charged my bank $10!!! Their website provides a different number that is no longer in service?!?! SCAM CARWASH read more

No good contact number for support, the number is disconnected. No email or other way to contact them. They had a problem with the brushed wash like 3 weeks ago and it's obvious the owner doesn't want to fix it correctly. The turbo nozzle sprayers on the touchless have been stuck and spraying a single line for a month. Which is awful for both your paint and how clean it gets the car. I come here because it's convenient, but the owner not taking responsibility or caring about the customers makes it a lost cause for me. Especially since this is the third time it robbed me of 17 dollars. Won't be coming back. Doesn't even deserve one star. Wash is a few years old and just falling apart because of terrible owners read more

do not use no touch bay...pressure is clearly too high. no way to contact, website doesnt load.

I also went to Johnny's car wash on Main Ave in Scranton yesterday 3:20-25 I paid $17 for the soft touch wash and the doors would not open I called the number it said to leave a message and then it said the inbox was full and I couldn't leave a message this is the second time this happened to me and I did not receive a refund because I cannot get in touch with anyone terrible experiences also I want to leave no stars but it won't let me so I have to give one star to leave my rating read more

several times I have come out of the wash and half my car was still dirty , that is when if the wash worked at all . I often call the number on the building and did get a response! they were offering me a FREE car wash . I cannot see how it was free beinh that I paid for it in the first place . Simply put .....BYE BYE JOHNNY read more

Don't do it. It took my money, never started the wash, and trapped me inside. The phone number was a disconnected number. I did manage to get out by getting out of the car and pressing the red button. At least that worked, oh and the part that charged my credit card worked just fine too. read more

Best car wash I've been doing in quite a long time. Is this a franchise or an individual owner? Would really like some feedback on knowing very interested in having more information do we know the approximate value of the business also, I'm assuming it would be public record you can certainly get what you pay for and this car wash was by far the best I've ever been through. Is it an individual owner? I would love to know please any information would be greatly appreciated job well done. read more

Update 12/2023: I no longer have been pleased with the touchless tunnel wash (I paid $13 twice a couple weeks apart). The sides of the car are not cleaned/rinsed well...it is leaving visible dirt streaks. I submitted a complaint the first time, expecting to at least get an apology and have the car of machine corrected/fixed. No such luck. I went a couple of weeks later with car #2...same dirt streaks were visible on the side. If visible here can't trust the wash anywhere (including wheels and underneath). There are a few new car washes in the NEPA area, I will be trying them next time. ..if they are touchless of course. I give them a 2 star for previous good washes and the current wash does take off some dirt...better than nothing but not worth the price any more. read more

Terrible experience...ZERO way to get in touch with any mgmt or employee. The phone listed is disconnected...they don't answer the email interface on their webpage. Just a joke of a business. Paid $17 for an automatic wash that was supposed to include an undercarriage wash etc etc. there wasn't a drop of water under the car afterwards and the entire front of the car was never touched by a drop of water either. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Put in 20 dollars for car wash for 15 dollars Machine took my money but did not activate car wash. Called service number multiple times and left my info. The recording states will return call. Over a week and have not received return call. Will never return there. read more

Went to get my truck washed and paid 15 dollars for the wash. When prompted with the green light, I pulled in. The machines began to move, but no water or liquid came out of the nozzles. Eventually, some soap sprayed out in spurts, but not consistently. Ultimately my truck was left worse than when I entered...a dirt film with not rinsed streaks of soap. I called the number to complain but it was disconnected. Stay away from this ripoff. read more

Worst car wash around. Half of the coin slots don't take coins and their coin machine doesn't give accurate change back. Don't go

on 1-2-23 went thru the automatic car wash for $13 dollars on the way out the blower was blowing the soap off my car,had to go around to the self serve and pay $4 dollars to much to rinse the soap off my car not going back that carwash is no good read more

Nonexistent Customer Service! Spent $14 on the soft brush ultimate wash on 7-13-2019. Car wash malfunctioned and I never received my wash. No biggie, there is a customer service phone number right inside the bay. I left 2 VERY DETAILED messages about what happened. The recording said "we will get back to you within 48 hours." HA! Today is 7-30-2019, still no response from Johnny's! I also emailed them to no avail. Had to contact my credit card and file a claim. My advice; If you use this wash, use a credit card and KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! Johnny's will not help you if you get ripped off, but your credit card company will refund your money. read more

I waited over 45 minutes in line at 4pm on a sunny weekday a few weeks ago. With the sun I guess that's expected but this was a bit much. Every one of the bays (4 or 5) had a line out across the parking lot to the street. The excessive wait aside, there were no employees at the location for any assistance. So of course the automatic wash bay breaks right in the middle of my wash. No service lights or alarms, just the soap spray ended and nothing happened next. Forget calling for help as the phone numbers inside the wash are also blocked out. So cross your fingers and just drive out hoping not to break your car on whatever mechanics stopped mid wash under your vehicle. I wasted 90 minutes of a beautiful afternoon on this nonsense. I did get a random text message about a week later to credit me for the wash. But overall I'd say to steer clear of the hassle. read more

This is a very fancy car wash first off. It seems like it's well-kept. I was disappointed the one day when I had all this snow on my car and I got a $14 car wash and I still had to go through the car wash and automatically remove the rest of the snow and dirt. The other problem I had was when I went to the car wash again and there was soap left on the car. I again wrote the company and still nothing. They didn't even give me a discount on my next car wash they didn't give me my money back they didn't even give me an apology. I like the car wash because it's 24 hours but I don't like that they are more money than other carwashes and they truly do not care about their customers. Very disappointed! I really hope this changes soon. read more

Went here 12/16 desperately wanting a good wash under my car. Waited in line to the road for about 45 mins to an hour Got to pay point and paid for my wash. Truck in front of me couldn't get wash to start. Tried for a good 10 minutes until the station told me I was good to go for my wash and that truck got my wash. I was stuck there with a line behind me and was not paying for another wash. I called service # on building and surprise surprise the # was not in service. I called phone number on website, that # was also out of service. I walked around building to see if there was an attendant. There was not. I came back to my car to horns blowing and people yelling at me. I had to make them back up so I could pull out. I have tried contacting this business online twice and have not got any response back or refund. I am completely disgusted that a business can run this way. I don't understand how they can't have a contact point in case of an emergency situation with the car wash. I guess next time I'll just shut my car off and leave it there or call the cops for fraud. I can only wonder how many other people this has happened to. I will also be contacting the BBB regarding this and the city of Scranton to find out if this is even legal. It's not even about the $13 it's the fact that a shady business like this can stay open and keep ripping off customers. read more

I was just there tonight 06/30/2022 at 2245 and was going to wash my car and when I went up to the pay machine in the self serve bay I had to do a double take they want $4 to start im sorry its not that grand of a carwash to justify that much money for im guessing 4 minutes read more

A quick and easy car wash. Touch less is better than brush car wash which can scratch. Downside is that not a perfect cleaning. My car was covered in salt due to highway driving. Of course I drive in Scranton but the city doesn't salt, sand or plough. That's a story of graft, kickbacks and politician's self interest. Anyway 98 percent of salt removed and my car went from white to blue. read more

DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT use this scam of a car wash! This is the second time my family has been ripped off by this place. I paid with a credit card, entered the wash bay and pulled up to the green lights as instructed. Then sat more than five minutes while nothing happened. Backed up a little and pulled up again. NOTHING! Called there so called 24 hour emergency line inside. GOT A VOICE MAIL! At this point myself and my family are locked in this scam hole with me having to get out trying to find an emergency button to get out and open the bay doors. 20 minutes later we finally get out. Zero washed car and out $12 for a wash. Tried now for 2 weeks calling their number for a resolution with nothing but voicemail to keep leaving messages. Reported to better Business Bureau and working with my credit card to get my money back! This place deserves to be out of business with this type of service. Screwing your community will certainly not serve you! read more

So yesterday, March 17th 2018 at approximately 11am I decided to go through the automatic car wash, the Soft Touch one, at Johnny's in Scranton. This is the result. Those scratches you see, yeah they weren't there prior to my entrance. Tried calling more than once and there is absolutely no answer. Left a voicemail and no response. Just a heads up people... read more

Put in 5 dollars used soap then switched to rinse and it rinsed for 10 second then went back to soap multiple times.

I went through the automatic wash. The back of my car was not touched. I had a strip of dirt going down the center of my trunk and back bumper. read more

One of the best car washes in NEPA. The automatic washes do a fine job and the self-service washes are dependable (soap, lots of it, actually comes out on soap mode unlike at other washes in the area). There is also helpful staff on site watching over the operation to keep everything running smoothly. The only issue is that Johnny's is so good that the lines can get very long on prime car washing days. read more

I have always liked Johnny's car wash , today I spent $12 to wash my car in the touch free bay and was so disappointed, the dirt was not all removed , especially on the wheels , the rinse was inadequate leaving dried soap marks all over my car .
