I chose the Tower Plaza Parking Structure (near the Westin Hotel), which was just a short walk to the museum, while the other options are a bit farther. Parking is paid, about $6 per hour. Once you arrive, check-in is quick and no reservation is needed. Admission is free, and they provide a sticker that you'll need to wear throughout your visit. The museum is two floors, featuring a variety of sections and artists. The architecture itself is beautiful and perfect for photos, and the artwork is unique and enjoyable to explore. Overall, it's a great experience, especially since it's free. Tip(s): - Park at Tower Plaza Parking Structure (near Westin Hotel) and just walk to the museum - Free entry - Restrooms available - No appointments needed

We drove all the way from Los Angeles to visit, and while the building itself is architecturally…read morebeautiful, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The museum has very limited content. There are very few artworks on display, and much of the space feels empty. It was surprising to see a large number of staff but very few visitors, which created an odd atmosphere. What made the experience worse was the lack of clear guidance combined with overly intrusive staff behavior. In the children's drawing area, there were no visible instructions about how the space should be used. Our child was simply drawing on paper at a table provided for that purpose. Within just a few minutes, staff approached us three separate times to tell us that drawing must be done using a board and not on the table. For young children, especially in a space that appears designed for them, this kind of repeated correction--without any posted instructions--felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Instead of supporting families, it felt like we were being monitored and interrupted. As a nonprofit institution, one would expect a more thoughtful, visitor-friendly experience. Unfortunately, the combination of minimal exhibits, unclear organization, and unfriendly interactions made this visit not worth the trip. We will not be returning. By the way, parking is $8 per hour and requires a three-minute walk from the parking structure to the building.

I honestly had no idea this place was here (I guess I'm not cultured lol)…read more This place did not disappoint. It's in a really nice area of Costa Mesa close to a bunch of hotels, south coast plaza and some of the best restaurants. (So many options for you to pick from and have dinner before your show) The architecture of the building itself is really beautiful. I would say it's a little tucked in, because I am always in this area and have never seen it before. The ambiance inside is nice as well. It's extremely clean This place has a parking garage and valet. Unfortunately, we had no idea they had valet. So we just automatically parked in the parking garage. But they do have a little walk way that is extremely easy to get to the building from the garage The lines went extremely fast for getting into the building. There was no restrictions on handbag size. ( or at least they didn't say anything to me about it / could differ from show to show and who is performing) All I had to do was open my purse and walk through a metal detector. Everyone was so friendly Once we entered the building, there are tons of staff directing you where to go if you need help finding your section They do have stairs when you walk in, but they have elevators. I chose to walk up a few stairs and then take the elevator to get to our seats We had second floor box circle level seating. It was extremely easy to get to the seats and the lady who took us to our seats was extremely kind and helpful She also gave us the rules - No placing your handbag on the railing, no video or flash photography I can't stress enough, the importance of elevators and it being accessible. So 5 stars for that The bathrooms were very clean and had a great amount of bathroom stalls. So there was no line I only saw one very tiny stand where you could get refreshments. I did not get anything, so I don't know what they had to offer (such as alcohol or if they had any food) The write up online for the show we went to for Tchaikovsky's Fifth & Avi Avital Pacific Symphony -Experience Tchaikovsky's Triumphant Fifth & Mandolin Virtuoso Avi Avital! Probably one of the worst movie theaters I've been to in recent times…read more Parking is convoluted. Garage parking is available for free but you have to go around an odd pathway-- staircase, office courtyard area, and another corridor. As soon as you enter the theater, you are hit in the face with moldy and musty air along with stale oil and popcorn stench. Yuck. The carpets are grimy and dirty too. I needed to use the bathroom beforehand and it made me feel violated and disgusting. The seats were covered with urine and there was no toilet seat cover. The sink area was absolutely soaked with water and I can understand why. The faucet splashed water in every direction but onto my hands. To top it off, not only was the floor wet because of that, but there was no soap or paper towels to use. I came out of the bathroom drenched and felt disgusted by the lack of cleanliness. Now the seats at this theater doesn't recline at all so if you're watching a long movie like the Wicked, you will come out feeling sore. The seats doesn't have much space between the rows in front or behind. Consequently, despite it being not packed, it felt distracting because of the coming and going of different people, their sniffing, talking, munching, packet rummaging, and everything else. Not to mention the horrible smell of old popcorn and mold really made the entire experience that much more unpleasant. Despite enjoying the actual movie itself, it was unfortunate I felt too grossed out by the bathroom situation and not wanting to eat or drink anything because of it. Lastly, the tickets are refundable and/or easily exchangeable online. Don't be a sucker like me and watch your movie here. Just request a refund prior to showtime and save yourself from having an experience like I did.

Going to the movies these days is a lot different. First, you order your tickets in advance and…read morepick where you sit. This is great because you can strategically make sure there's nobody sitting right in front of you. The seating here hasn't been upgraded to the new recliner seats but they were fine. Be prepared for a full half hour of "pre-entertainment". It's not even previews but trivia, little news stories. Completely unneccessary and it's not increasing their snack sales or anything. Luckily we had just had a huge breakfast so we didn't feel the need to get any snacks. They did have a ton of snacks though - rows of impulse items leading up to the snack bar.

I decided to bring my mom here for Mother's day and enjoyed all of it!…read more We made a reservation about a week ago just incase there was a long wait. I highly recommend making a reservation before going because when we arrived, the line was down to the parking lot. It was packed! We instantly got sat and our server, Alex, stopped by with some water and greeted us. We were informed on Mother's day, they have a set menu. It was 2 salads, 2 apps, 4 entrees and 3 desserts for $55 per person. This was a lot of food! We honestly got full after the apps hit. Everything was sooo delicious and yummy. Alex, was extremely nice and friendly throughout the entire experience. They were very busy and all the servers were running around so we understood if he fell behind. We felt bad because the table next to us was giving him a hard time and being rude about the menu and how they didn't like certain items on the menu yet Alex stayed very professional and helpful with them. 10/10 food and experience, i will forsure be back to try more food and cocktails and request Alex's section!

My Chicken Marsala was "Kid size" and so was my wife's Entree. Very disappointed with the size and the taste! Didn't taste the Marsala in the sauce? They also cut back on the spagetti that comes with it too! For a $30 you should get a descent size piece of chicken. I've had bigger pieces of chicken at McDonald's. We will be looking for a different place to eat at in the future more.... I figured it out. My wife told the Server "both of us will have Chicken Marsala" and we will split a salad. The chicken was split and the salad came out whole. Unsure how the bill came out as my son paid and no receipt given.
