From my initial meeting with Mackenzie, I felt right at home. After I signed the contract, I dealt with Nikki who was an absolute sweetheart and professional. She emailed and called in a timely manner and made revisions to my schedule 100 times with a smile on her face! Then of course there was Nela, my photographer. I cannot speak highly enough of Nela. Nela arrived Thursday evening and got right to work after getting off the plane. She walked around the property scouting locations and met with me to discuss her ideas. I was blown away by her tenacity and dedication to her craft. She was studying, taking notes- a true professional. Nela and I walked around the property for around an hour, discussing the plan for the wedding day. Her professionalism didn't end there. My now husband, Max, HATES taking pictures. I know most grooms say that but he truly is the exception. I warned Nela and I don't think she even believed how difficult he was going to be. Max refused to take getting ready photos, complained about the heat, was angry the sun was in his eyes- you name it, he complained about it. Nela handled Max's opposition with ease. She struck a balance between being firm while also making him feel comfortable. She instructed me on what I needed to do so that we could get the best possible photos. She was incredibly successful at getting great shots, despite a very difficult client- a testament to her professionalism and personality. Further more, Nela was an energizer bunny and ninja rolled into a petite frame. She was running around for 8 hours getting every shot, no matter the angle. She braved the elements, heat and even rain with poise and grace. Not only was Nela beyond professional, she is a lovely person!!! For a destination wedding, this is key!!!! Seriously, all my guests can't stop raving about how amazing they came out! I found Ed through WPJA and I was just blown away with his portfolio. One of the things that drew me toward his pictures were the vibrant colors he uses and his brilliant eye for wide landscape shots. I wanted a photographer who would capture the stunning summer colors of the garden and the grandeur that our venue exuded. I reached out to Ed and he worked with my budget. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced he is for his quality of work. Moreover, the final payment is to be submitted a week AFTER the wedding which really helps when all the other vendors are basically due at the same time. He uses the best equipment out there and will hike up a mountain if you need him to, just to get the shot. Ed is very sweet and responsive via email. He answered any questions we had and listened to our vision for the big day. I emailed him a list of the photos I knew I definitely wanted and he took each and every single one. I also had an idea for some photos of the girls and I jumping on the bed with our robes on and he was more than willing to listen and try it out- he even seemed to enjoy shooting it as much as we did! He did not leave our side all day/night, and in the evening pulled us away for some incredibly stunning evening shots by the fountains. After browsing Chris's fancy work/photos site, I decided to hire him as my photographer for my…read morecourt wedding at city hall. We paid $300 and booked a one-hour session. On that day, when we firstly met Chris, he took a few photos for us. After that he was standing aside, adjusting his camera, and looking around at other people. It seems he's not so happy about this session. I know indoor lights are not perfect. But as a photographer, could you please at least respect your client and take photos just being professional as other photographers around you?  The court wedding went on smoothly. It took just half an hour. I asked if we could have some pictures around city hall building since we still have half a hour left. He rejected and told us his excuse was the sunlight's not good, and it was a sunny day 11 am in the morning. He kept checking his phone and it was so obvious that he is hurry to leave. I was so sad that we couldn't have more photos to remember this important moment. He told us he will compensate this half hour in our next session. Excuse me? Who is in the position assuming we are doing business again and you can owe us? Two days later, we got our photos, there were about 400 photos in total. And surprise! about 150 photos were not focused correctly. I could tell from the photos that he just kept clicking mindlessly, the focus is so bad that you can get your hair focus and your chin blurred, even I can tell he does not know how to adjust the aperture!  And guess what,  there are more than 50 are about an unknown dog some other couple brought! That's 15% percent of the photos he took for us. What's f** wrong with this guy? In conclusion, Chris is extremely unprofessional and unskilled, likely to be a scam, stay away from him. I would not bother to get my half hour back.

He has been to so many weddings and he gave me his honest observations such as when it comes to family photos it wasn't a chaos trying to find everyone; and he would spend some hours prior to the wedding at the venue trying to figure out which spots are great for photos. -Communication: I started reaching out to him about a year before the wedding, and Danny was very responsive, I get the answers right away within the day. -Quality: Danny always tries to capture the best moments, there were a few times I saw he was just sitting down to get a drink for a few seconds and he was on his feet again. The photos came out better than I expected. -Danny brings a very energetic vibe to the party. He wasn't just some guy you hire just to show up, snaps a few hundreds photos and then meh whatever. The day before my wedding, he said he wanted to take some photos at Valley of Fire, which is an hour away, I asked him if he was sure since it was super hot especially in suits and wedding gowns, and it was kinda far! He went "This is your wedding, I want you to have a great memory. Don't worry". I mean, this guy flew from East Coast to Las Vegas, arrived a few days early to look for places for my pre-wedding photos. He drove to Valley of Fire the day before and said this was it. I don't know if I ever met any photographer with that kind of energy. Ok this part is about my honest/suggestions for people who haven't met Danny yet. Since he wants perfection, quality and best photos: he often will direct you and your guests so that he can capture everything. To us, we were totally for it, I'm not a professional in photography or know anything about it. And there's someone who already planned and did everything?
