I'll start with, the only bright spot with this car buying process is Elias. This guy was so nice…read moreand helpful. Let's get into it. My wife totaled her 2020 Ford Fusion so we were on the hunt for a basic SUV all we really wanted was a bigger screen for navigation purposes. We told them over and over what our payments were ($377) with an incredible and unbeatable interest rate (.9%). We were realistic in that we probably were NOT going to get that rate again. That was okay. We knew that going in. We started with saying that we were interested in an escape or eco sport. Something on the cheaper end. Obviously there is limited inventory so neither of those options were available. We were shown a 2021 Nissan Kicks. - valued brand new at about 19.5K. Right in our price range. There were no floor mats, the car was dirty but had the basics of what we needed. We test drove it and started with numbers. (The real fun part). Elias was open about how at this dealership they AGREE on a price. Which we settled on 24.8K. In my opinion STILL overpriced but it's fine. We were told "at this point we just want to get rid of this car". Tyler, the manager came in after I countered and basically said they couldn't go down any further. That they would then lose money on it. He said "I don't ever want to get someone in with finance and then their payments are double what they thought." When we moved to finance, I started to get cold feet. Yes the maintenance package and the warranty was great but it would make our payments $502. Our fusion payments again, we're $377. So we were already over budget. Not once did finance give us the total of the car. They focused on ONLY telling us how much our payments would be. I mentioned 3 times how I wanted to come back on Monday with a down payment and was basically dismissed. And was told "well the difference would be $50". Doesn't matter. The moment someone says I'd like to come back, that's a hint. Or at least it should be. When I finally got all the paperwork together the next day imagine my surprise when I saw the total amount financed was 35,000. For a car that OFF THE LOT costs 19.5K. This car was used with 4800 miles. Not to mention with interest the total amount of the car would be almost FORTY THREE thousand dollars. That is more than my F-150 cost brand new. When we called to ask about possible return of the vehicle since this was WAY out of our price range, finance said "we don't accept returns". Tyler, the manager said "let me get more information and I will get back to you soon" ...2 days later and I still have not heard back. Bottom line is, it wasn't a horrific deal but we definitely could have gotten something else for $502 a month. We just should have taken our time and resisted the pressure.

About 3 months later the joint broke again. I have been dealing with the Service Department and Dennis for over 2 months, who continues to blame Ford Corporate for approval to replace the rear window. After leaving mutiple messages with no return call I contacted Ford CRC (online complaint) and the Rep handled my issue immediately, gave me a case number to take to a different Ford dealership to get repaired. He also told me Ford Corporate does not approve warranty repairs - the local dealership does. If you have issues with John Vance service don't wait like I did - get online and file a complaint. The salesperson, Jenna, conducted the appointment, and showed me every part of the car. I was satisfied enough to take a few hours trip to see and possibly purchase. When I got to this VERY clean dealership, Jenna enthusiastically met my family, and eventually took us for a test drive. She was fun, professional, and honest with me throughout the buying process. I've even called her with questions after almost 3 weeks, and it's the same personality! I recommend this dealership for their professionalism through the process, Jenna especially!

I have used Volvo's service department for years. In the last two years the service level has…read moredecreased, but I took my vehicle to the dealership to have it diagnosed anyway because of convenience and a gift certificate that would help to save money. I know that the dealership is expensive, but it is not normally more than $100 -$200 of a difference. I also had a $50.00 gift certificate that could be used towards service so I decided to see what they could do (they would not honor it because they said a diagnostic is not a service. Lol). The quote that they came back with was $1,000 more than other places I called for quotes. So I had to make the decision to go to another company (review on that company coming later). They charged me $129.95 for a diagnostic and when we went to pick up my vehicle to have it towed the hood was still open, the battery cover was nowhere to be found (later found in the back seat after talking to the service manager) and the car would not respond like it has been responding prior to dropping it off. Once I called to let them know that I would have to tow it to another facility the tech just didn't care. That is horrible customer service and will prevent me from going back there in the future. I need a new vehicle, I love the Volvo SUV and my experiences with this service department caring more about making money than great customer service has prevented me from wanting to purchase a new Volvo SUV. I know others that are also looking for a vehicle and I will encourage them not to purchase a Volvo because of the type of service that I have experienced over the years with them caring more about money than doing the right thing. To top it all off after performing a diagnosis and paying for it they did not provide the diagnostic paperwork. When I asked for it they said that they didn't have it. The foreman diagnosed it without doing all of the diagnostic checks. What??? So why did I pay for a full diagnostic if they didn't do a full diagnostic? That leads me to believe it was never done. Do not go to this place for service. It is a scam.
